Take a look at the very first post on this thread - it gives a list of about a dozen mystery shopping companies. GfK is one of the better ones (in my opinion!), and Gyp is a sort of nickname for Gap, which is one of the worst (again, just my opinion!).

have to agree with scaredycat. Only done 2 jobs for GAP in my MS life (lol) and feel that they aren't that great. Just to do their search for new jobs is a pain.
Then filling the form in is a nightmare! they want comments but only comments they want to hear
  • Scaredy

Apologies for confusion I have edited my original post changing good to favourable.

I would not lie on a report but every time I put in criticisms I received queries.

I wasn't suggesting you would lie - my anger/irony/bitter tone was actually directed at Gap, not you! A few people before you have said that they always query it when you put in a negative report, so I am a little anxious - but what's the point of employing people to mystery shop if you only want to hear good things?

Also, I wasn't getting at you for saying good instead of favourable. It's just my insecurities - when I first saw your comment I thought you were suggesting it was my fault if they queried it because I hadn't done a good enough report (meaning I hadn't done it competently). Just me being insecure and anxious - don't take any notice, you'll get used to me eventually!!!

Re searching for new jobs, have you noticed some of their spellings of town names? I've seen 2 or 3 different spellings for the same town!
  • I did not take it as a dig at me so don't worry.

The stated aims of Gap is to improve customer service they are not going to achieve that by encouraging the misreporting of mediocrity.

Good luck with the mystery shopping.
  • Thanks Paul!
  • Did anyone apply for the spreadbetting jobs?
Just wondering if you've heard anything back from them yet.
  • I replied to the e-mail about spread betting and have not heard anything since.

    Cheers Paul
