The Mystery Shopping thread - part 5

I had the same problem Scaredy Cat, I had a normal walk in visit, so asked for the orange and this put it over the spend limit. I did the family drive thru yesterday which comes with a 1 1/2 ltr bottle, so asked for that to be 'fizzy orange' The family meal is now £1.49 over the spend limit and it does say on the questionnaire to explain if it is over a certain amount, so I put the prices have gone up due to rising fuel costs. They are going to need to increase the reimbursement for these! I had better get paid for this. The questionnaire was a bit strange as well, so it could just be an error, why would you order a bottle of orange/water on the family meal anyway!!
Also the questionnaire doesn't even mention the drink!!!0 -

Couldn't agree more! Maybe they have too much stock of orange and water and want us lot to help them shift it!!!!!
I also thought it was odd that I have to explain that it cost more than £11 when I ordered exactly what the brief tells me to order! They should know what the prices are! So I'm already out of pocket by £1.49, it doesn't leave much of a fee, does it? It's a low fee to start with.0 -
The last time I did this job, this exact spend covered the cost of the family meal!!!0

I'm expecting queries on this one - the service was dreadful! All these questions about whether they suggested extra items or told me to enjoy the meal etc. Errr... NO! And the brief said don't drive away too quickly because they have set things to say - well she closed the window and turned away while we were still sorting out the food and the receipt etc.0

On mine, when she handed me the order, she was taking someone else's order at the same time, so didn't say anything oops0
-
Probably not really their fault - we felt they were under-staffed and every time someone got to the order point they had to wait to order - presumably because the staff were still sorting out the previous order. I don't suppose it's a very satisfying job.0

If you don't want queries from Gap you need to submit favourable reports.
They don't want objectivity.
They are an appaling company, they need to be avoided so that they eventually treat shoppers with respect.0 -
These used to be done by Frontline Focus. When the job was first done, the client wanted a lot less info and the job was much easier, but then the client wanted all these extra things assessed, like what they say afterwards etc. I had to pilot this in my local store and had to go in every week. Then suddenly Gap were doing the jobs and FF lost out after all the work they put in on the pilot scheme!0

You had me confused there - I was about to say I felt limited in being able to do a 'good' report because I would have liked to add comments but they only had set comments for you to tick, and they didn't match what I wanted to say. Now I see what you mean - they only want to get favourable reports. Well, I'm sorry, I just put what happened - I'm not lying on the report!
I've been decidedly unimpressed with Gap so far and this is only my 2nd job for them.0 -

To go from the opposite of that....from my sources they'll happily accept bad even when incorrect.0
