  • Yes that makes sense - I thought that was the case and I also thought they would want my Aug job separate from the Sep jobs. Pants I've missed the deadline now...

ps just emailed you - let me know if it's any good?

MutualPoints 2898 STP £20.50 Tesco clubcard points £950 for summer 09!

  • Not happy with GR - had an assignment arranged for today but when I went to the location agreed it was closed for refurbishment!

I paid £3.50 to park my car for a reasonable period of time in the city centre and I telephoned them as soon as I got home to inform them of this - said they would get back to me but I am still waiting.

This is only my second MS but I was feeling a lot more confident about this one and was sick to see my preparation was a waste of time.

Yes - got the email, but what do you mean is it any good?:p Where did you find it - on MSE? Are you doing them/done them? I figure I may as well enter - dont you?
  • I am totally peed off with Gap now. I have a drive thru booked for Saturday and wanted to change it to today. When I looked earlier today there was the option to change it to today but now that option has gone and the earliest I can reschedule for is tomorrow.

The time for the assignment is between 5pm-9pm, we were just about to leave the house and now I can't reschedule, obviously because it's after 5pm, but there's still plenty of time so I think I should be able to do it. No point emailing them, in the past they have taken about 4 days to reply.

Hi everyone I am trying to catch up with the forum with the hectic time I have had lately. I cant remember the posters but am trying to help 2 of you at the same time.

Re the GR query and how they allocate assignments. I had to phone them recently about a query about a job I did and the guy I spoke to could not have been more helpful. So I would give them a ring and explain your query about finding assignments.

To the poster enquiring about jobs in Scotland. I got an email from GfK with a huge list of bank jobs needing done. Many in remote locations. But there were loads around Banff and Inverness areas and Huntly. If whoever the poster was wants to PM me his/her email address I can forward the email.

    HTH.

Just put DD1 to bed and have now completed pizza job questionnaire for GAP. Must admit I was stuffed afterwards. DH was happy he got fed for his birthday. Money goes down substantially this month as maternity pay kicks in - oh the joy! Luckily got a bit of a pay rise and my bonus should be pro-rated this month so fingers crossed. Anyone know how Assosia and ISC pay - did some work for them at the beginning of this month - do they pay the following month or do they have a different system.

I am actually booked in for a day of rest tomorrow so DD will be in nursery and DH will be home with me. Two adults on our own - don't expect that to happen again for the next 16 years lol
  • I see the RE tightness continues, pub jobs that the expenses do not cover what they require you to buy and no fee!

    Great.
  • Ellie, ISC have paid me via paypal last time it was just a few days after I did the shop :D The first payment from them had a paypal fee (49p) on but the second came as a 'payment owing' and didn't have any fee on.

    Hi everyone,
I've been mystery shopping for years, but new to this thread.
I think I can answer some of your queries:

Scaredy cat - I've had this frustrating problem with GAP - I did actually speak to someone there once - told me you can only change TO today's date before around 12.00. It's something to do with timezones. The thing is, if you do loads of MS, you're constantly having to change dates to fit them all in. GAP don;t like it when you do a different date without their confirmation - even though they don;t reply to emails for days.

While on the subject of GAP - do other people get calls at inconvenient times asking them to go to a burger job miles away from home? - and then they get snotty if you say you don't want to...?

The GR allocation - they seem to put the jobs on in batches, so you might accept one that's not actually very near you. Then you find there was one closer, but you're only allowed to do one,or two - so you become ineligible for the one you preferred! but they don't tell you this in advance.

I'm confused. Are you saying I wasn't offered any local jobs because I had taken one local one? But even if that's true, I waited quite a while for this local job to come up, and all that time I was only seeing the ones in the other town.

With regards to Gap, I'm annoyed with myself because I was going to reschedule earlier today but waited to check with the family. Because I saw today's date listed earlier I thought it would be ok. Partly my own fault - but I still think it's stupid to block the option of rescheduling when there's still loads of time - it was an evening assignment after all.

Anyhow, my son was so upset (he had 2 teeth out at the dentists this morning and was looking forward to this as a treat), we decided to get the meal regardless (pay for it ourselves), and then reschedule the job for next week. Well, turns out he wasn't that impressed with the food anyway so I might just release the job.
