Oops! I've been doing plenty of betting so I think I should be ok. The bingo is quite good as you can play loads and loads of games for hardly any points.

Right, here's my list for today, to be comlpeted before 2.15 when I need to go for Greggy (aargh, that's only 2 hours. Where did the first 3 hours go?):

[STRIKE]Ring British Gas to sort out bodged invoice[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Load dishwasher[/STRIKE] done while doing the above
[STRIKE]Hang up washing, put new load on[/STRIKE]
    Put away clean washing
[STRIKE]Strip guest bed ready for parents arriving Wed[/STRIKE]and it's in the machine now
    [STRIKE]Make lunch for Adam & I[/STRIKE]
    File away paperwork
    Tidy/clean the study
    Clean the kitchen
In fact, clean the whole sodding house.

    Hmmm, better get moving then...

Just a quick note re the childminder - having been one myself....did she have a portfolio to show you? This should have included policy documents, insurance details, OFSTEAD reports/membership details etc, reference letters and CRB check??

Most childminders would ask that you set a minimum limit of hours per week/month for contractual purposes. Even on an "if and when" basis you still need a contract.

Oops! I just applied for a £5 voucher after only having done one set of games ever - I think I'd better spend the rest of my 100 points on games. I'm Harmony with numbers after. I couldn't think what to call myself - didn't want to use a name that I liked! - so eventually I chose Harmony - she's the vampire *without* a soul on Angel :o Angel and Spike have souls, its complicated :o she's the receptionist at Wolfram and Hart .... good screen character!

Have you cleaned the whole sodding house yet? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: And as Lunar asked, what about your ebay listing? Mind you, if you've got visitors in 2 days, I don't blame you for spending the time cleaning

My kitchen still isn't pristine :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: tho I desperately want a cup of coffee, it'll be even less pristine in a bit....

Thanks Pooky. Yes, she had a really comprehensive folder full of all sorts of stuff - all the things you mentioned and more. We did have to sign a contract but she just put 'as and when required' on it - I suppose she'll get back to us if there are any problems with that. We've basically agreed that we'll just give her a call when we need her (we've said maybe once or twice a week, but maybe not every week) and as long as she's got the space she'll have him. Because I'm not relying on it for work or any other committments then if she happens to be fully booked or busy that day or something then it doesn't matter.

    Working through the list:

[strike]Ring British Gas to sort out bodged invoice[/strike]
[strike]Load dishwasher[/strike] done while doing the above
[strike]Hang up washing, put new load on[/strike]
    Put away clean washing
[strike]Strip guest bed ready for parents arriving Wed[/strike]and it's in the machine now
[strike]Make lunch for Adam & I[/strike] and he's now asleep on the sofa!
    [strike]File away paperwork[/strike]
    Tidy/clean the study
    [strike]Clean the kitchen[/strike]
In fact, clean the whole sodding house.

One hour 15 mins to go.

Ooh, we must have crossed KC! Go have the coffee then blitz the kitchen. It's amazing how much you can get done when you set your mind to it - normally it would take me the whole day to do the little bits I've already done.

Enough waffle - house still sodding!
