Hiya! Some good news in there, I'm glad to see. The storage is gone! Well, it was always going to be a tall order to sell all of it - a friend's garage is a lot better, and it sounds like there's been a big reduction in the amount of stuff, even to be able to fit into a garage.
Tax - yes, its 31st January. I've just finished my English accounts, and have found out I have another two months' grace on my French accounts - I'm not kidding, I feel like I've been on holiday today! I can't believe how much they were weighing on me. :j
Sympathies on the breakfast cereal survey - the number of fiddly little things like that has to be seen to be believed, doesn't it? What did I do with my time before I was struggling to be debt free? :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

It's a double garage with workshop, and their downstairs study as well.:o
MM, I know exactly what you mean about fattening stuff. Why do I crave cheese all the time? I think about 80% of the excess weight I've got is cheese. I'm surprised I'm not getting eaten alive by mice (yourself excluded:D ) all day.
KC, just posted on your diary about the holiday feeling. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders by having decided not to do the tax return until after Christmas. Daft really, as I still have to do it, but I can worry about that later.0 -
Goodness, it's 10.00 and my baby hasn't woken up yet. He's ok as I've heard him moving about, but this is a miracle - I've been up for 2 hours. And spent half of it here rather than getting anything done.0

YAY!
£50 Amazon voucher from Qype arrived this morning - will add it to the Bingoport ones that I've got saved and hopefully pick up something nice in the sales.
Anyone else who gets one, check the expiry date: mine is for a year but some people were reporting on Qype that theirs expires today.0 -
Just got an email with a picture of a massive burger in it, thought it would make a very appropriate avatar. I'm starving.0

Just off the phone to Virgin. Thankfully I can say, for once, that they were really good. A couple of months ago they offered me 0% till Dec, and to reduce my standard rate to 8.9% variable thereafter. I asked about the 'variable' part of that and was told not to worry about it, soI transferred 10k.
Got a letter yesterday saying my rates had increased, and the balance I have would go up to 19.9%. I don't think so!!! Just spoke to someone who said these are automated system adjustments, and he'd change the rate back to 8.9%. He's also given me a 1.5k cash transfer (8.9%) which will get the en-suite done. I don't like using credit for it, but we've paid off over 2k this month so it's more like moving things around than borrowing as we'd have had that in cash if we hadn't paid out so much, and will add less than a month onto the DFD which is well worth it for the sake of having a working shower in the house again! I'm so glad I called as I hadn't thought there would be much point.0
