I just went to sign up to qype but they have suspended the rewards for new members now until the new year. Oh well, ill have to stick to posting rubbish on the bingo site instead i guess. Have you got your amazon voucher from qype? i hope you all get them through, it seems too good to be true.

How are you getting on with ebay? is your storage unit empty yet?

  • Panda, I've just spent the last 3 days trying to read through this entire thread and I have to say... you truly are an inspiration. Your debt in comparison to my own seems huge and yet you deal with it as such a positive challenge! Of all the stuff I've read on the DFW board this is the one thread that always brings a smile to my face (although over the last few pages I have been missing the squares updates :D )
I'm new to all this DFW stuff but I've spent the last few days filling in questionnaires, looking round the house for stuff to throw on E-Bay (wife and dog 1st on the list) and Qyping myself into a frenzy... damn, this stuff is addictive

    Hi all!

Shrimply - on Panda's behalf, welcome - love the name.

Panda - I did exactly the same about not realising to sign up for the Amazon deal. But I saw that post on Hypno's thread (after Taxi, I think it was, told me that you'd got caught) to ... surfbabe? .... about emailing with Count Me In in the title... sorry, you've already gone and done the extra, I had to slow down a bit - I had clients! - I thought I'd be really teed off if I didn't eventually get the Amazon points, but I'm sort of resigned now, a t shirt and an ipod are hopefully winging their way towards me. We'll see.

Lunar - sorry you haven't been able to catch the qype wind in your sails. I ordered an Amazon voucher from the bingo site you're talking about, but I noticed you said about being warned about the posting - so today, I've posted and played, posted and played, I hope they don't refuse it. Ah well, we'll see.

    Sleep well all
    xx

    Goooooood morning Vietnam!

Another busy day chez Panda, so I never got around to saying hello on here yesterday. The parents have arrived so all's a bit chaotic.

Hello Shrimply (I won't laugh at the irresistable bit :D ), thanks very much for posting. Good luck with your own debt journey - have you got a diary or SOA anywhere yet? Re the squares: we've had an expensive few weeks and are into the overdrafts at the moment (and will be until after Christmas) so there hasn't been much in the way of over-payments so not much in the way of colouring in. But the chart is firmly taped to the back of the cupboard door and we've just been paid so as soon as I update my spreadsheet there will be a colouring frenzy!

KC, have you had to give up on the Qype voucher then? That's a real shame. Have they said anything? Can you not throw another load of reviews on and make it up to the magic number? I'll do a few for you if it helps!

Hypno, thanks for the review, I was well chuffed! You must have bought one of my more professionally and accurately listed items - skiwear perhaps? ;) Must check out the latest on the official Qype thread, sorry, I mean your debt diary :o .

MM, keep trying - I had a win on the slots the other day! Only about 300 points but it made up for all that I'd wasted on bingo.

Lunar, shame you missed the boat with Qype but they'll probably do more promos if this is successful. I'll let you know if I see anything. No movement on storage yet but now my parents are here we'll hopefully get a few hours babysitting to get started.

    See y'all later.

Sorry I'm a little late in catching up with PPs going-ons. Problem is having children to manage and not getting anything done! I know exactly where you are there PP!
I've also made a decision and I shall be searching out a childminder in March for Adam for a couple of mornings a week. I shall have to earn the money to pay for it as I am not going back to paid work but I'm sure I can manage that.

Will also be joining you on the weight-loss challenge although it won't be for a week or so as having a little op next week. Won't be dieting as such as I am really rubbish at such things although will get my Mum's Rosemary Conley magazines and see if there is anything nice to make in there. Will get back to exercising though so hopefully will lose something through that. Out of interest has anybody had a tummy-tuck? I have excess folds left from pregnancy and I am going to try to exercise them away but think that they are there for good. If I had them removed I would go down several sizes instantly! A bit drastic I know but I am sooo tempted.

Anyway enough rambling from me. Will pop back in when I next have two minutes to myself. I dream of having time to myself - hope you manage to get things done with your free time PP!

Hiya Floxxie, I've not been around this week much either - got the parents staying so it's a bit rude to spend all my time on the computer while they watch the kids (although very very tempting). Hope the op goes/went well and is nothing too serious. Afraid I don't know anything about tummy tucks although I'll certainly need one if I can lose the tummy - let us know how you're doing with the diet.

I did my weigh-in this morning, and am down another couple of pounds which is fair enough but hasn't brought my WFD forward any - still 59 weeks. My parents are still here but leaving tomorrow so I'll hopefully not be eating as much when they go. I've been very restrained as they arrived with the usual chocolate mountain and I've only had a couple of bits.

:j Good news for those of you who've been nagging me for the past few months: storage is almost empty and will be gone by the end of the month. Yay! The bad news is that we've moved it into a friend's garage:rotfl: until such times as we can sort it all out properly. I've made a start by Freecycling quite a few bits today, many of them have gone already. No start made on the tax return though. I have a feeling that will end up being a New Year's Resolution so I'm not going to worry about it until after Christmas. It is the 31st Jan that's the cut-off, right?

We've acquired a new car. My dad has just bought a brand new A3, and the 10 yr old Golf that he bought 10yrs ago brand new is in absolutely mint condition, 70k. He was only offered £800 for a trade-in so we've bought it from him instead. Our second car is on its last legs, 200k, and sometimes doesn't start first time so we're going to dump that at the motor auction as soon as we get the number plate off it (we inherited it free with the car but it's worth a few hundred quid so we're keeping it as a long-term investment). Still need to find £800 for father though. D'oh.

Hope everyone has had a good week. I'm off to update the electricity challenge scores and see what everyone else is doing, and basically do anything I can to avoid doing the breakfast cereal survey I've just received.
  • hi Panda - good to see you posting:D Yeah I know i owe you an email - will get onto that by the end of the week.

well done on the weight loss - struggling with mine - it is strange how I seem to like all the fattening stuff:confused:

well just redeemed my 2nd Amazon voucher on bingoport -how long do they take to come through?

well done on the storage facility clearing :T :T and the new car - great results.
