The weight thing aside - tesco diets are brill for giving you a good choice of recipes and food for your chosen "diet". I just love their Meditteranean diet - lots of olives and hummus/pitta bread etc with delish main meals. If I have a few days on my own, this is the diet I love to follow - very healthy, but feels very naughty!!
I am signed up to Weightwatchers until the New Year, but will probably switch to the Tesco Med diet again in January, if WW is not doing what I want it to do - if nothing else, it might make me feel as though summer is on the way!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. :rotfl: Hypno, that new avatar...you've been following me with a camera, haven't you! Anyone who wants to know what I look like, that's it EXACTLY! Except my roots need doing.
Lunar, I agree with Choca that you shouldn't be worrying too much about dieting while you're still breastfeeding, BUT I used that as such an excuse to shovel in all sorts of things while I was breastfeeding, especially things that are good for you but really fattening like cheese. If you're like me and have quite a bit to lose then I'd fib to Tesco to join as there seems to be loads of useful stuff on there, but allow yourself a lot more calories than they give (I think they say 500 extra calories a day when you're BFing). I'll PM you as you suggested with my start weight - should give you a giggle if nothing else!
Thanks for all the reassurances that Tesco are a bit over zealous with their target weights. Though I don't think they're too far off the mark with me - they're saying 11 stone 6 which sounds reasonable.
Our flippin boiler is on the blink again. Can't remember if I posted or not (actually I did - I remember ranting about British Gas) but it broke last week and then fixed itself. It's off again, but they're coming to service it on Thursday so I'm loathe to call them out at £50 a pop when they're coming anyway. Fingers crossed it mends itself again overnight, or failing that, a warm week.0 -

It sounds like the tesco diet is a bit exterme. I dont really want to diet yet but do want to be healthy and get some exercies. I am using breastfeeding as an excuse to eat so much junk andi need to stop that. If my oh has taken the million hints i gave ill be getting the wii fit for christmas.
Have you got the boiler fixed? mine broke a couple of weeks ago, im glad this house is rented as it cost about £350 to get fixed.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
We gave in this morning and rang British Gas, so they're coming out tomorrow morning (allegedly). Strangely they didn't ask for a card to take the £50 like they did the last time, so I'm hoping we're going to get it for free but I doubt it somehow. It is absolutely Baltic here at the moment though.
Day 2 of the diet and it's going quite well, i.e. apart from meals and fruit I haven't eaten anything which is pretty much what I'm planning on doing. When I think about the amount of stuff I normally eat...
Lunar pointed me in the direction of a site called Bingoport. I was a bit confused and a bit skeptical, but if it's what it seems to be (Lunar's had loads of payouts) then it is absolutely FANTASTIC! Everyone, PM Lunar for a referral! You get paid to post on a forum, so if we all get together on there we can do this, but get paid to do it!
Must go update the sig, I've just noticed how out of date it is.0 -

Thanks for the tip on bingoport. I can't think about anything now till I've got some food inside me, but thats next ... being paid to post on a forum? Huh??? Did I land on my fantasy planet? :rotfl: Excellent :T2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yes, it does seem a bit too good to be true. And I think it is - the rewards are fantastic but the forum is just mindless drivel. Now, if they'd give us points to post on here that would be another matter...
The British Gas saga continues. Checked the bank this morning and they've taken ANOTHER £49.99 from me. To cut a very, very long story featuring unbelievable levels of incompetence short, rather than refunding it, they took it again. So they've refunded it again. And they're sending a cheque for the first refund. No mention of me paying for today's call out though so hopefully all the confusion means that I've got away with that - £50 up. Result! And the boiler needed a new solenoid (oh yeah, one of them) so it's all fixed and we're basking in lovely central heating again. Greg woke up about 3am last night and he was freezing. Ended up putting him, already in vest, sleepsuit and Grobag into a second Grobag! He looked like the michelin man but was lovely and warm in the morning.
Just realised that I did a mystery shop yesterday and totally forgot to write it up - must be because I was so enthralled with the intellectual conversation in bingoport! Off to do it now and hope they don't notice it's half a day over the 24 hours for submission.
Will do the sig later. Maybe.0 -
Well, I tried to enter the details from that mystery shop and it wouldn't let me. Bu66er, I thought. Until I read it again and realised that the reason it won't let me is because the shop isn't until tomorrow. Duh. So I did a mystery shop on Monday that didn't exist! Thankfully it was just a simple bank one and I had a cheque to pay in anyway - think how gutted I'd have been if it had been a nasty mobile phone one or something! I'm going back to that village tomorrow anyway so I'll just do it again. And hope it's not the same lady when I ask the same query again!
Just losing some brain cells on bingoport chat. It's strangely addictive. Probably the free Amazon vouchers part of it!0 -
how many vouchers are you aiming for? no matter how boring it is its easier than daily clicks i think. im falling asleep on their forums.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0
