I have phoned both Tesco and Virgin.
Tesco made out that they did have a few at that price, it was limited edition and they are sold out!! I asked them how many were shipped out and I was told that it would have to be looked into and he was only told there was a limited supply. After a repeated phone call the lady I spoke to said that they had a prepared letter to send out and would one in the post explaining the situation. So I wonder what that says!! I assume just the same as all the emails.
My reply was also from George in Virgin and I was told that each email was replyed to individually. I recieved the same email as everyone else!0 -

Please can you confirm why you have not responded to my email dated 20/11.
Your company has clearly contravened the Trade Descriptions Act as you are now selling the item for £105.24 as at 19:50 23/11. I ordered this item at
£33.24 on 18:00 19/11, which you cancelled without my agreement, stipulating that you were unable to obtain item from your supplier.
It now appears that you are clearly able to obtain this item from your supplier, so please can you fulfil my order.
Failure to respond to my email by 16:00 30/11, then you force me to contact my local Trading Standards Office to investigate this matter.

ok...still not heard dicky from virgin ..no cancel..no out of stock waiting till 28/11/2004 ..nothing!!!!!!

dont wanna rock the boat and contact them till they contact me.
Then I can moan that others were told next day and I have had to wait x amount of days, in that time I could have bought from tesco or woolworths..and now i cant get one for love nor money :-) coz no one selling them.
re tesco..i personnally believe all covered in their T&C they not going to give in..but good idea to really push their customer service etc.
I was also told by duty customer service manager, yesterday ...that. "the bundle was being sold by electrical part of tesco..the company I ordered off were tesco extra different managment structure and two different companies." he also stated that an email was being issued. explaining ????

Problem being is that they are not the identical item. the one we ordered was a bundle. This is a game and console but not sold as a 'mega pack' so that could complicate things ???Nice to save.0 -

"No contract will subsist between you and Virgin Retail Limited for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until you have received confirmation of your order in the form of a receipt confirming details of your order. Once the receipt has been received, there will be a legally binding contract between us."
So when do you get the receipt? All they send out is an order confirmation email, I take it the receipt will come when they send the item, therefore, if they never send out the item, you never get the receipt, and they never get into a contract with you.
Ive still had no response from them, I ordered at 19:00 on friday.
They did take the money from my cardon the 22nd then returned it today.0
