Cook the pasta then grill the cheese on the top of it. hey presto macaroni cheese (sort of). If you are hungry, it will taste nice. I used to do it when I was a student as it was a good hangover cure (carbs and grease!)0

Dont pay him the fee for starters.... Why didnt the payments go through? Speak to your bank in a loud and angry voice. Last time my DW did this she got free chocolates too![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Rise like Lions after slumber

This must be a joke/ wind up. No level headed person goes on a forum to sort this type of thing out. No bread to go with the cheese F F S.I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -
ya like hell u know. sometimes people dont tell others because they are too ashamed to tell people they know that they need help, so they might vent on anonymous forums. i know about others in similar situations who ate cheap packet of noodles for 2 meals a day and went hungry rest of the time for many months together when they were unemployed and had sores all over their mouths because of vitamin deficiency. all because they didnt want to ask for help or were scared people would make fun of them. it is many times better to give people the benefit of the doubt in such matters. i'd rather give someone food rather than think they were just taking the !!!!. i wouldnt lose much either way even if i lost some money in the bargain. (oh before i forget also know about someone who took their own life as they didnt want to burden others with their troubles, they did that at a place where they were allowed free to stay, i am an aquaintance of the person who allowed them to stay for free, hence i know about that tragic case)bo_drinker wrote: »This must be a joke/ wind up. the convosation was strange ... I told him on the 20th that Im moving out (mth notice) and did the manual transfer but he kept saying i could pay the fine in two parts ... which I did say i couldnt afford.
I am supposed to move on the 20th but the house I am supposed to be going to isnt going to be ready until the 10th of september. I was going to ask to stay here on a week by week extension but I doubt he's going to let me ...
I agree I shouldnt have to pay it but he's adamant. My brain is coming back now ... if I could tell him to take my deposit and move out asap then I can possibly avoid the fine....0 -
i wish it was a hoax.

I cant give much advice, but as moodydonkey said someone will be along soon to give you good advice.
Do you live close to family or friens? Could yu go round theirs for a cuppa, grub & a chat. You would feel tonnes better.
Can you ring up your bank & ask why they didnt set up your standing order or why there was a delay. Im not sure of the details, but it sounds like the bank have messed up.
When I set up my direct debit, it didnt go into my LL account. She was really worried & I was horrified that it would be late as it was my first months rent to her & I didnt want her to incur any charges. Luckily she didnt fly of the handle (since she could have assumed that I was always a non payer). What had happened was the EA had mucked up the details & then when it was sorted it took about 5 days in cyber space for it to reach her account.
Its a shame your LL is giving you a 50 pound fine.
Was the standing order set up by the EAs?
I moved out of my parents home as needed to be independant and couldnt cope with all through at me. I was at uni when i started with depression and I stopped going out or speaking to anyone because I was sure it would pass and I felt so bad - how could this happen to me. I started a new job a month ago and although most of the people are nice there's no one i could tell this - mental health stuff terrifies people i find. I am going to speak to the bank tommorrow but i found a message in my Inbox in the account just now saying that some transactions have been highlighted as fraudanlant .... would they stop it because of that? jen0
