  • That is very unfair of her, but I guess, sadly there is nothing you can do about it. Actually, it sounds like a rotten thing to do to you, she should never have lead you to believe it was a firm agreement when it obviously wasnt.

But, as you are all set up to rescue a pug, so why not get in touch with some of the pug rescuers and see if there is another one out there waiting for you somewhere?

You may have to be prepared to be patient for a while, as pugs dont turn up in rescue all the time, but who knows!!?

Your misfortune may actually be a lucky break for another little doggy waiting for a home somewhere!
  • grr I cant get the cut and pasted contacts to show up!!

go to here and scroll down till you find the list of pug rescuers!

Horrible woman, and when you were all looking forward to it so much as well. Really sorry you've been so let down. Not much comfort at the moment, but as foreign correspondent say, you have a bed ready and waiting, maybe you'll find another cute pug ready and waiting.
In the meantime, make a doll of her and stick pins in it or something.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Awww thats so unfair, you must be so fed up now ((((hugs))))

Our lab has his issues (not breed specific btw) but he is the most loving, obediant dog I have ever met.

He had a phase when he was only around 10 weeks where he chewed a rug, my son's shinguards (went down well, lol) and whatever smelly socks he could pinch from the washing basket if he thought no-one was looking.

It passed though and he learned that chewing anything other than his own toys was not acceptable. I could now leave him alone with anything in our home and be secure in the knowledge that it would be untouched when I got back.

The advice about 5 mins exercise per month of life is important, labs can be prone to leg injury etc.

I was in two minds whether to go for a smaller dog when we first started thinking about getting one, but the 'family friendly' reputation that labs have swayed me and I have to say, their reputation is well deserved.

If you are thinking of getting a dog at all, you wont go far wrong with a lab.

Photo opportunity - sorry :o :rotfl:

Same teddy he's had since he was 8 weeks old btw. Big sap. :D

    hi
I was looking through a site that was pups for sale.
The site had it in sections for the type of breed you wanted.
Once you got this it had pictures and names of dame/sire.
Then you could look into the breed line of the ind. dogs and also a bit about the breeder.
For the life of me i cant find it now anyone know where it is, think it was linked to some magazine .
    thanks

I wouldn't buy from this type of site. Far better to contact a reputable rescue charity and ask if they have any suitable pups, or contact the Kennel Club for breeders of the types of dog you believe would suit your lifestyle.

Remember dogs are living breathing things, just because they look 'cute' on a website doesn't mean they don't have normal dog instinct which they were bred for over many years, like killing vermin, or following scent trails for miles.

Find out a bit more about different breeds needs and what you can offer, rather than what they look like on a website.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I wonder if its cos i asked for his records to be faxed to his my vets and maybe there was something dodgey on them so she went with some1 who wouldnt asked for those details.

If your guess is right, then maybe it's best you didn't get him. There will be another little dog out there who needs a good home. Good luck with your search.

You knew we were meant to be collecting the pug today, well i have just had a txt from the owner saying he was rehomed this morning. she knew we were coming to pick him up at 12noon today. she knew i was buyin him a bed and a crate. I had told my children were getting a pug so they were excited. I wonder if its cos i asked for his records to be faxed to his my vets and maybe there was something dodgey on them so she went with some1 who wouldnt asked for those details. im sat him in tears as i was so looking forward to having him

Aww hun he wasn't the dog for you, it sounds fishy and she sounds like a dog farm anyway, obviously in it for the money
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
