sunny here at the moment but i can see huge clouds on the horizon

I have been up most of the night because DD1 was desperate to watch the gymnastics ( said it was on at 2a.m then 3a.m it finally came on at 5a.m:mad: then there was a break and it came on at 6.30a.m) it has just finished so think i might go to bed. probably put BM maker on first.

I have been reading the remoska thread i am fascinated think I might ask for one for my birthday ( alas not till november and not sure I can wait that long:rotfl: )
hope everyone has a great day

    Morning All

Not posting much as nothing much to say, work is progressing in the bedroom, never fast enough though is it. The ensuite room is made, plasterboarded and wires in place, pipe in place from Saniflow across the loft  - no don't go there. Water pipes down wall - ready for tiling next. Went and got the lights yesterday for the bedroom and ensuite and some flourescents for behind the clothes rails so they come on as you open the door, went to the Ring factory shop and that came to enough, heaven know what it would have cost going to a normal shop. Walk in cupboard/wardrobe also made and plasterboarded. Size left looks good. Built in units now ordered with max 3 weeks delivery:rolleyes: . Plasterer coming on Tuesday & Wednesday, then of course it needs to dry. We would have liked to give it a coat of emulsion before we put the built in unit in, but we go away for 12 days on Wednesday (the builder can continue we have known him long enough), so current plan is for him to finish the ensuite, get it all plastered and sort out the electrics. Then look at the ETA of the bedroom furniture if it is after we get back, then we will do the emulsioning to the whole room when we get back, if not, then we will have to mask up and emulsion:rolleyes:

We considered not going away with the 'van as the forecast is not good until next weekend, but no - not an option.

(((hugs))) all round. So pleased the wedding went went Mioliere.
    Take care all

    Morning all :D

Sunshine here at the moment, but it's looking "a bit dark over Bill's Mothers," as my DDad would have said :rotfl:

I need to scrub the kitchen today - one day in town with my sis leaving DS in charge and it looks like an army has been through, all eating open faced sandwiches. Once it's clean I think I will have a baking day, the tins are empty again. Dinner tonight will be pork steaks.

I need to make my front door lock open easier - does anyone know if WD40 is okay to use?

Mioliere - so glad the wedding went well, I was checking for updates.

charlies_mum fingers crossed for the weather and happy birthday to your DGD :T

Hugs to those that need or want them.

Mioliere - it sounds like the perfect day - well worth all your very hard work

I'm up earlier than I wanted to be thanks to dgs(3) who woke me up in tears because his little dog Pippin had run away. I wouldn't mind but Pippin is his imaginary friend! All is well - we found him asleep in the laundry basket apparantly.
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

  • Morning all,

Diva – of course no-one minds you starting the thread, lol!!!! Hope your poor cat has dried out a little now…..
Lelc, hope you & DD are both on the mend soon, bunged up ears are horrible.
Oh dear N9eav, sounds pretty miserable down your way L Enjoy your peaceful week though.
Kathy, the wedding sounds fabulous & like you all had a wonderful day – are you going to treat yourself to a little break somewhere now too??? Looking forward to seeing some pics if you’re able to post at some point too…!!!
Rchddap, Mr B-E & Betheebee – stop talking about all these chocolate cakes, you are making me dribble & my tummy is rumbling already… I want some. Now.
Charlie’sMum, hope the weather does brighten up for DGD’s party later – it’s a good few hours so there’s hope. It’s blue sky here right now, so maybe it’ll work it’s way over to you?
Pixie, sounds like you’re in for a fun day – was wondering if you were ok as you hadn’t posted much (obviously you’re allowed not to post much though, lol!!!)

The only advantage to the endless sport on TV is that it makes me go & find other stuff to do that I’ve been putting off (or not had time for!). I sound like a grumpy old woman, but can’t wait till it’s all over. Though I know we’ll spend the next 4 years building up to 2012/London.

Letters to type for the office today, need to do some of the clearing out of the cabin so I can freecycle the boot sale stuff & all the other things that are just out there taking up space. How do I accumulate so much rubbish when I seem to be permanently trying to get rid of things??????

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) for all those needing them. Have a good day.

Nice and Sunny here at the moment. Not sure how long it will last, it is quite windy too.

Thought I would just say a quick hi to all.

I always feel so tired at the weekend. I have quite a few jobs to do around the home today including a large pile of ironing. Oh well!!

Thanks Squiggly, you have obviously sent some sunshine over as it has now stopped raining, and the sun has come out. Just hope DS has pegged the gazebo down properly or it might blow away :D

Apparently DGD is more interested in the balloons than the presents
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • oooo pixie hope you have a fab day hun!!!
im still housebound as toilet training dd2.....im fustrated as shes too good to go backwards into nappies(not that thats an option anyway but still!) but having accidents/forgetting to go until last minute....been stuck in since thursday and cant see the end in sight yet!! its more noticeable for me as dd1 said one day im wearing pants and being a big girl now and that was it! no accidents ever!
still being stuck indoors has its advantages for being os!!! i dont have one single item to iron as i have waded through it all :-) house is as clean and tidy as can be :-) lots of baking to be done today i think!
