We don't have much choice either-it's Tesco, Aldi or the Coop .

I don't really like Tesco, but it's the nearest and cleanest supermarket to me. There is a large local co-op here, but it's closing down so is never re-stocked and always reeks of rotting meat/veg, even when it wasn't closing it was never clean, I certainly didn't trust it for meat etc. Looks like some kind of supermarket in communist Russia lol. Tesco is also a few pence cheaper than the co-op on most things, and seems to have more in the way of offers that I actually use. My only other local option is a Sainsbury's and that IS a lot dearer.
  • I don't shop at Asda as I find their fruit and veg does not keep. The times I have shopped there the stuff has gone off before even the best before date and when I complained I was fobbed off.

I find Tesco's normally have cleaner stores

I prefer their non food ranges and variety

I love collecting the extra clubcard points

and I don't find a different in price. I buy a lot of own brand stuff and they are similar in price there and tesco offer s a better quality in these ranges though I do think Asda is cheaper with brand names.
I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever :(
But 2011 so far has been a lot of fun! :j

I use my supermarket to compare what I buy each week, I don't buy online just compare on the site and tesco is always the cheapest, once or twice sainsburys was cheaper than asda, I even went to morrisons a few weeks ago and walked round with a shopping list with prices and compared there, tesco were on average the same, something were cheaper, some were more expensive. But the quality on the cheaper items was not as good as tesco. I am thinking about doing the same with asda rather than just rely on a site.
  • Tesco is my nearest and convenient supermarket.

Plus I collect the clubcard points for hotel breaks, which as a family we all enjoy, its nice to have a bit of luxury now and again.

As kids, we never stayed in hotels, but our two children have had a lot of experience of it and they have always enjoyed their breaks away courtesy of Tesco.

Our main holidays are taken in our caravan, which we love, but every so often a hotel break just does the trick:j

Various reasons like tesco being nearest or clubcard points or the fact they like what they can get from there

I actually drive past Asda to get to the Tesco Extra(2 miles away).. because the Tesco has a larger range ..organic, worldfoods etc ..and the items i buy all seem to be the same if not slightly cheaper at Tesco.

I shop at Asda, Tescos and sometimes Morrisons, but I've found the fruit and veg is always freshest at Tescos.
There are some bargains to be found at Tesco, but when I was doing an online shop a while ago, I did lists on Asda and Tesco. Asda was much cheaper so got it delivered from there.

  • My misses insists on going to Sainsbury's, we will never be rich.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I have the choice of Tesco, Sainsburys or Waitrose so in my case Mr T is the cheapest. There's an Asda 10 miles away and a Lidl 20miles away. If I happen to be in the vicinity I'll happily use them but am trying not to add even more miles onto the food when I don't need to.
