Tesco - why do people shop there?

I'm curious...
GF tots up how much we spend at supermarkets. Each time we look it's about 10-15% more expensive (for the same or similar items) at tesco rather than asda.
So why do people continue to shop there? Maybe the range is better? There has to be a reason since lots of people on OS appear to love Mr T's.
EDIT : typo

Clubcard points?

I have to agree with you though, I find Mr T's expensive too!Competition Challenge 2007 - Win your internet fees back in prizes = £349.87/£1560 -
Has always worked out the cheapest shop for us.
Not sone scientifically or anything but just buying a normal weekly shop is cheaper in Tesco.0 -
Because Tesco is a mile up the road and Asda is twelve miles away! Before we moved, it was Asda every time.0

I prefer the local Tesco stores to the Asda store, the Asda is a great big ugly monstrosity that has been built without any regard to how it fits in to the area around it.
Also I find it cheaper to shop at Tesco and I get my points...0 -
Tesco's is nearer to me than Asda (but how I dream of having a local Sainsburys or Waitrose!) and slightly cheaper than Somerfield. And the self-scan tills mean I can use loads of coupons to get money off my shopping!2015 comp wins - £370.25

Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
Nearest Asda is about 20 miles away. Tesco is up the road and will deliver. And I'm saving points for a holiday (nearly £1000 in deals so far, still collecting).0

i agree nearest asda 25 mile round trip tesco just up the road - i do visit asda occasionally if i am working elswere and passing them therefore i can claim back most of the petrol cost as travel expences!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I dont know, the Tesco here is hideous and depressing, it is like Dawn of the Dead0

Like most other people, it's the nearest supermarket to me (1/2 mile) and we don't have a car.
I occasionally got Asda on Saturday to get their pizzas.0 -
Mainly Clubcard points and the Tesco delivery, when our local Asda half a mile away doesn't."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough
