  • Hi,

I purchased a wireless headset from Ebuyer just over 1 year ago, we have since had 3 replacements because they have all been faulty and they only offer replacements. Just had to call them again because the headset we received 2 months ago is also faulty and they are now telling me we are out of warranty. We were never told at any stage that the warranty was transfered from original purchase, and all orders for the replacement headsets do not show they are for replacements. Could someone please advise if we can still expect this item to be replaced because we were never given this information and it is not stated in their terms and conditions (which I even had confirmed by a manager). Thanks

    you bought an item
    it got faulty
it got replaced(as you say,3 replacements)
so these are replacements within the warranty period
obviously you can approach ebuyer regarding SOG and argue your case from their but it is standard that replacements come under the original warranty
  • yeah all replacements were within warranty. After arguing with original agent and his manager, i finally got a call back from another manager (assuming higher up), apologising for the inconvienience and hassle caused by not getting the right information from the start and they have agreed to replace the headset for us (although no warranty with it).

You've got a good result and more than you're legally entitled to. A good retailer.

  • A quick question please. I bought a car seat for my toddler 14months ago from the website of a well known high street store. It is supposed to last him 3years. After 14months the seams are splitting and the stuffing is coming out. Unfortunately I no longer have the receipt. Do you know if I can take it back and complain? What response should I expect from them?
Thank you if you can help!

You don't have to have the receipt if you have some other proof of purchase such as a bank statement. The retailer may be willing to look through their records if you can give them an idea of when you bought it. If the seat was a model only sold by this particular retailer then that solves your problem other than you can't prove how old it is.

If the seat has worn through normal wear and tear you may have a case.

Fab, thank you. I have found the bank statement so can give them an exact date. What is reasonable for me to expect from them if I go and ask? A replacement?

Ask for a replacement. They may offer you a discount on a new one instead which would be fair because of the age of the seat.

Firstly you should contact Habitat and see what they have to say. Tell them your concerns and ask them to inspect the sofas. Come back to us once you have spoken to them.

    Regards,
    Art.

    Hello
Spoke to the Habitat shop I bought the sofa from, they asked me to take pictures and email them to their shop email address with a description of the problem.

So at the moment, I shall just wait and see what they say!

I live in London, bought a flat in dubai(couldn't afford one in London so)needed to furnish it to rent it out,so got in touch with a Spanish company. They verbally mentioned that it would take 6 weeks to deliver the furniture.
I paid them half the total price(2880Euros) on 30/06/2009(total price 5760 Euros)placed the order. Not having heard from them since, contacted them on 10/10/ 2009 asking them to cancel my order since my app got rented unfurnished. They replied saying that the furniture is already shipped to Dubai. They also said that they have a no refund policy but, that I can pick furniture for the money I paid for(2880 euros).I asked my tenant in Dubai to pick some furniture worth 2880.She was willing to do so on the basis that she would get the furniture in 2-3 days time. Then they said that it would take a month to deliver the chosen furniture.Don't understand why it would take another month if they shipped the furniture to Dubai. After few emails exchanged, they agreed to return 2000 Euros.Don't want to loose hard earned 880euros.
Contacted a spanish law firm and their fee is so high(450euros) to send a legal notice. Is there a cheaper way of doing this. Please Please advise.
