    Good morning everybody:wave:

Woke up this morning to find I had a text from family in Scotland telling me it was snowing. :jHow lovely for you all. I'm just green with envy. DIL & DGS are leaving tonight. I am dropping them off at the bus station around 7pm. Only 4 hours to go. They are around at her mother's now saying goodbye. It's been so lovely having them here, 2 1/2 weeks have gone so fast. I know I will cry buckets. I hate saying goodbye.

DD has a boyfriend. He came around last night to meet us for the first time. She asked me did I think if he was a hotty. Ha Ha. Well I better get going and put this quiche on as we need to have early tea tonight. Kitchen is hot, no breeze, and I'm fantasizing about snow. :D

    Have a nice day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning!

Its really cold here! I have to work today (I hate working Saturdays but the extra pay really does come in handy) but at least I finish at 3. Im going to have a good old clean up when I get home and then finish building the wardrobe. Am expecting my next order today - A posh bin - which we really needed as we have been managing with a small one and im now sick of emptying it all the time!

Anyway - off for a quick browse before I go and get ready. Im also determined to have a lie in tomorrow morning - but I have loads to do so I might have to get up early anyway!

Still tons of snow here. I have one car still at work 4 miles away. 2 kids at my mothers as they could not get home from school, and a variety of other snow related problems. Still might get to build a snow man later.

It was a bit wierd here last night - they were gritting at 4pm after the school runs - the car was frozen over at 8pm when I had to pop out - but absolutely nothing this morning! Nadda. Not even a tiny fosty bit.

Things are a bit damp though - its like someones gone over the town with a giant hair dryer!

MW on (yet again!) Off to work for a few hours soon. Don't like doing a Saturday - but like Jo says, the extra money is always useful.

And just discover the fridge freezer is off - plugged in but not working Argh!!! Thats all I need. OH checking the fuze (ha - not really hopeful, but again!)

Off to check some cheap sites for a new one.
  • Morning :hello:

Not a great start to the day - somebody's smashed one of the windows in the front porch. We've had kids hanging around causing trouble for the last few evenings, but neither me nor housemate noticed it was broken till this morning so not sure when it was done  Housemate can't even claim on the buildings insurance cos they won't insure external damage with me living here - he refuses to tell the insurance company I'm a "lodger" as I don't pay full rent, so I'm down as a "friend" living here which apparently means the insurers think I'm going to try to wreck the place...

Housemate is supposed to be at his shop by now, but is on hold on the phone to police.

Anyhow, must get dressed and go out shopping. Lots of cooking to do this morning.

Have a chicken (small) in the slow cooker and may make chicken lasagne tonight unless I change my mind later.

According to DD "We have not had lasagne in AGES!"

Funny how I only find out they like something if I have not cooked it for a while - never seeem to get any appreciation at the time.;)

Cold but sunny and no snow.

Hugs to CurryQueen and Queenie - miss you.

Managed to get most of my Christmas shopping finished yesterday, but had a v bizarre incident with a CD. Bought the new Peter Kay for my BIL & in the traditional moneysaving way, decided to make myself a copy before wrapping it. It wasn't Peter Kay at all but some classical opera!! How weird. The CD label said Peter Kay, but it definately wasn't. I'm going to take it back to Woolies today for a refund. I'll buy it from Tesco instead & get the clubcard points!
Just dug out my thermal vest for tonight, we're going to the Tri-Nations Rugby League final at Elland Rd & it will be cold. I'll be supporting the Kiwis (Sorry AussieLass!)

    Morning everyone.
No snow here, although we did see a few snowflakes yesterday. At the moment its sunny, but it has been raining, more to come I think. Also its very windy. Not nice.
DH is not at work today, so doesn't know what to do. I never have that problem, but it does mean that my time on here is very limited!
Dinner tonight will be something made from mince (!) and I also have to remember to get some meat out of the freezer for Sunday - I have lots of meat from my mega-shop on Tuesday, which included a trip to the farm where the meat comes from.

    Hi everyone
It's my turn at work this week so just thought I'd pop in quickly to say hello. Had a lovely day off yesterday with Mum and we spent the day nosing around Worthing. The museum's free and very interesting. Also introduced my Mum to Lidl- she was very impressed. Came away with a fleece for the small person for £2.99. Always a bargain to be had there!
Plans for the rest of today include trying out a recipe for banana and cinnamon bread in the BM, trying to get a rather nasty stain out of the carpet and if time the dreaded ironing. Tomorrow I'm going to have to force myself to sit down and start Chrimbo card writing and wrapping parcels- not my favourite thing but then again I may just accidently allow myself to become distracted and do a bit of my dollshouse carpet.!!
    Have a good weekend
