Morning all
As per normal, nothing much to do today and a lie in was on the cards.......but nooooooo, eyes spring open at 7am!!! DH is still snoring away, DD's are snuggled under duvets watching telly and doing some colouring. I've emptied the DW and refilled (yes I know I was trying to give up using it but my hands have gone so dry and scaly after using the washing up liquid that I've gone back to the DW) Washings washing, tumbles tumbling, dry washing folded and ready to put away. Ironing basket over flowing but shouldn't take too long to do.
Brekkie will be cereal or toast dependant on what they desire. Lunch will be avacado and bacon sarnie (cos we didn't eat them last night) Tea is toad in the hole with roasties and veg.
I've had a really good declutter of late and got loads of stuff to take to the recycling bins today, lots of clothes that DH has "grown out of"well that's his excuse. Got to really get on top of things now as weekends are precious until Xmas eve, got family things and a long weekend away with friends planned so need to make sure I make the effort during the week. Not working much this week so will make sure I get some meals in the freezer for those "can't be bothered to cook" days.
Hope you all had a great weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi Everyone
I'm having such a stressful day. Come into work to find NOTHING left for me:mad: :wall: and for the other station who's news I'm reading today, I've been sent complete rubbish. So I've got to rewrite EVERYTHING - cos I've got time to worry about that:wall: :wall: I'm going mad. I can't take this much longer.
Oh yes and tomorrow's file's gone missing, so I'll get moaned at for not preping anything for the morning:wall:
Anyhoo, on a different note, made chutney yesterday with the apples from the tree. Today we're having briscit and I've got to buy some new tires:doh:
Hope everyone's less stressed as meComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Morning all,
Today the plan was to go to the gym mid-morning, then come back, plan the week's meals, hoover the whole house and dust the whole house. But I don't feel quite 100% today, have a slight headache and feel a tiny bit sick so wonder if I should leave the gym for today and not push myself? It feels like I'm always so busy rushing around with all my jobs and stopping to relax has become quite alien, I feel quite guilty if I just do 'nothing'.
I will def plan the week's meals whatever happens though. We went to Tesco yesterday and I got £2.00 off the bill by handing vouchers over, also earned loads of bonus Clubcard points. I need to lose a couple of pounds again so have stocked up on healthy foods.
I have virtually finished my xmas shopping which is good, I was very organised this year and typed out a list of what to buy for everyone and have bought most stuff in November. Will probably wrap it all in early Dec. On my list, as I bought stuff I made a note of any savings I made if any of them were reduced/ on special offer etc and it's good to see I have saved quite a bit.
Have just thought- if I wimp out of the gym OH and I can go for a long walk by the sea to make up for it- the sea air will prob do me good.
Have a nice Sunday all.

Queenie and CQ- Please come back soon, this board isn't quite the same without all your motivation. Hiya,
Am sitting here with a lovely bowl of steaming porridge, BM is on the go (OMG I LOVE THAT THING) WM has just finished so need to get another load on. DS (2) playing with his cars, DD's 1&2 (1&3) are still in bed as is DH-nice for some hey
The estate agent was supposed to show a couple around our house yesterday, us having vacated and left it immaculate by 8.30am (try doing that with 3 kids!). Anyway, I got a call at about 2.30pm to say they hadnt been ableto get in cause they couldnt do the locks    Talk about frustrated, I cant write down what I was feeling as there are too many bad words. Incompetant springs to mind an awful lot though, blimin sods. It was only the 2nd time in 10 months they were doing the viewing and they cocked it up.
On the plus side though, we went to see some friends of mine from NZ who have been living here for the past few years. They are moving back home in 5 weeks so we went to say our goodbyes. Had a really lovely day, took the kids to a farm and watched horses, sheep, threw sticks for the dog etc. Fantastic HM curry with couscous for lunch and nice chat with coffe for the afternoon. When we left they gave us bags full of their sons toys to keep as they cant take them with them so kids are well pleased. I was also given loads of photo frames and some lovely material. O good OS day.
Todays plan is to tackle the laundry mountain but otherwise try and rest. Havebeen overdoing it lately and need to take care of myself again. Going to try and eat better, exercise more and get more sleep (ifthe kids allow).
Offto eat my porridge now and then wake DH so he can watch the kids while I go back to bed
Enjoy Sunday,

Morning!
Was in bed at 10.30 last night I was so exhausted! Its a good thing though as Ive got loads to do today - going shopping and to pick up some stuff and a mystery shop to do - as well as cleaning and finishing the wardrobe - which is huge and Ive just got to attach the doors and move the drawers (I think I screwed them in in the wrong place - oops!)
Anyway - bacon sandwich and cuppa tea first - then crack on!

Morning all, I had a lovely lie in again but it's nose to the grindstone today as the house is a wreck so I won't be here for long. I've discovered what's wrong with the keyboard but I can't fix it so DH has promised to when he gets home from work tonight. I keep forgetting to take my tablets - does anyone have a foolproof way of remembering?
Just hoping I can keep the kids amused whilst I get on and work today, so much to do but it's payday next week and I must use the time to get the christmas shopping done as it's the last payday before christmasOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Awwww bless you hun :A
I'm afraid I'm not very motivational at the moment, hence why I haven't been posting lately, and OS seems to have flown right out the window... so I'm hoping that you lot are going to help motivate me
Sorry to hear about the hamster PP and hope your DD gets on ok with the gerbil. They're usually pretty hardy little things, but I warn you now, they love to chew so I hope your cage isn't a plastic one or you might wake up to find him/her gone one morning... and talking of which I hope you didn't put it straight into the hamster's cage without thoroughly disinfecting it first as wet tail is a highly infectious disease.
Whilst on the subject, and this isn't particularly directed at you PP but to anyone out there thinking of buying an animal from Pets at Home - DON'T! - especially if it's a rabbit, guinea-pig, hamster or gerbil, as these are sourced from specific "animal farm" type breeding facilities and disease is rife amongst many of them. There are several up and down the country, some worse than others, and they supply all the Pets at Home stores in their region. The stores that sell chinchillas and chipmunks usually source those from private breeders so they're usually fine.
When the animals are delivered to store they usually go into a quarantine room out the back for a minimum of 48hrs, which in my opinion isn't long enough to allow them to settle and detect any illness/disease, and are often rushed out onto the shop floor sooner than that, especially at weekends and bank holidays as that's when most sales are made. If livestock is out the back it isn't making money. And that's what Pets at Home are about, making money, and the animals' welfare is secondary to that.
Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now but I just felt I needed to warn people so they don't have the bad luck PP had with her hamster, which was no doubt infected before she even bought it."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Didnt pets at home get prosecuted for animal cruelty a couple of years ago.  :mad:0

I second C-Q's views about Pets at Home, I've heard horrible stories about them & how they deal with sick animals.
Need to get organised today - I'm going away for work til Wednesday night, so won't get anything done. OH wouldn't think to put DW or WM on while I'm away. The ironing pile is threatening to topple over & I need to go to Tesco's as well. We're having a Raclette for dinner tonight - scrummy & haven't had one for ages. Reminds me of skiing.
Best get on....................have a nice Sunday peeps.0
