You're great you lot! I love reading all your posts.

PP - I do hope that the gerbil is ok.

When I was growing up, if we wanted a pet then we'd have to have what the pet shop in town had. My brother had a hamster, luckily the pet shop had these every now and again. Hamster was called Buster (thanks to my dad) and bit my grandad's cat's paw when the cat got a bit too interested and put his paw through the cage bars. The cat never went near Buster again................ :D

CQ - it's so good to see you back again!

squeaky - can you be my permanent mentor? Your advice is great and I'm so bad at doing the smallest things that your reward method - that I would give the children in my class anyway (though their reward would be a glitter pen!!! :D) - makes so much sense, I just didn't think of it beforehand.

Veggie pasta sauce is tucked away in the freezer now. The other portion of bolognese sauce is there too. Ooooh, and an empty bottle of wine is waiting to be put out for recycling. I was ably assisted by OH though..........

Bath is running with plenty of bubbles. This is my Sunday night treat!

    Take care

First time I ever get to start one! For the first time ever I have not been able to sleep all night so the washing machine is on, the slow cooker is on and I am contemplating doing some baking.

DH has spent 9 hours fixing the computer and DD1 has come home in tears 30 minutes ago after being dumped by her boyfriend. Even I never saw that one coming :(

I am going to be a wreck tomorrow but never mind :D

I'm just having a quick browse before I go to work. Hope to get caught up on my laundry this afternoon and be organised for tomorrow with something in the slow cooker. Hugs to all those who need them.

Have my SIL here for a few hrs today. So she will do some bits around the house including all ironing :D

Anyways, will catch up later as Im loosing energy quickly!

Brrrr - its cold down here! Was feeling very resentful to the world when I woke up this morning because I had to get up and go to work. I had a good day yesterday though, mystery shop completed so I bought myself a present, bought some indoor gardening stuff and a new set of crockery in black - which looks very swish with the posh cutlery I won the other week. I got my advantage point freebies too from printing the vouchers on the screen.

Im a bit skint now though so Ive decided to tighten the belt a bit - fortunately the freezer is already full so I dont need to do any proper shopping for a couple of weeks or so. Work is going to be rubbish today - its around pay day so loads of people wil be coming in and the next two weeks im working the saturday so its a bit miserable really. Just gotta look forward to xmas I suppose! Oh well, im only going to be there for another two months because im now properly looking for a new job.

Well, better get ready to go, hope you all have a good day!

    Morning All,

    :grouphug: for your DD Moggins.

Well, last night was the first night in over 3 years that I DIDNT get woken by the kids :j I cant believe it!!! Perfect timing too as I have a mock driving test at 9.20 and could do without all the yawning in front of my instructor that normally happens.

SC has been on over night for the first time with a sausage casserole for DH using up the ones that the kids didnt eat yesterday. House smells lovely. First time I've used up leftovers like that before, normally they get binned :o but I am learning, having been taught VERY well by my OS family.

Waiting to hear back from ASDA before I can update my GCT as they didnt deduct a £10 e-coupon I used. Hopefully they will credit it back to me and then my PMS will be looking healthier.

DD1 (3) is bringing a friend back from preschool today to have lunch with us. DH is working form home so they will be having a picnic on the front room floor ;)

Off to make some porridge now and enjoy my coffe.

    Morning all

Yesterdays plans went to pot and I ended up having a row in tesco about a misleading product discription, spending far too much money and ending up with a stonking head ache.

On the plus side - DD's got taken out for a few hours and used their pocket money to buy DH and me a xmas pressie each...they had to sneak off and wrap them quickly before we saw what they were....first year they've thought about spending their own money - really quite sweet!

I listed some zoo tickets on freecycle last night - I won them in a local radio competition but they need using by 31st December and I've run out of free weekends.....within about 2 mins of posting the offer I got a reply..turned out to be Purplegirluk1 from here!! Small world eh! Nice to know they're going to someone who will appreciate them.

I'm working this afternoon so need to really get stuck in after I've finishd my coffee. My parents gave us a big lockable storage box to sit on the drive, I can get a couple of the pushchairs I use for work in there, they're currently in my airing cupboard but I really want the space back to hang things in, so that's first job of the day - will have a good sort out in there too as it's become a bit of a dumping ground. Got to wash floors, hoover, sort washing, change beds and have a general tidy round, shouldn't take too long tho and aim to be sitting down with some sewing by 11.30.

Dinner tonight (if I get chance to make some pastry) will be a left overs quiche, there's a couple of tomatos that need using up some spinach, half an orange pepper, a few slices of ham and half a block of smoked cheese.....will probably serve with cheesy pasta or mash.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Thank you :)

In many cases my rewards were simply allowing myself to do the things I was doing anyway (to avoid having to do housework) without feeling guilty about them because I earned them.

But it's amazing how much you can get done in a ten minute potter in the garden - which was a favourite reward - and how the cumulative effect makes a big difference.

Oh! I find that a tidy room is more relaxing and pleasing to the eye and the mind than an untidy one - so pick a single room rather than several at once and work it over. That room then becomes your sanctuary as you slowly work your way round the house.

    HTH :)

DD1 has just been bought home by her head - she has her trainers on and not her school shoes, so had to swap them.

She is (sorry was!!) adamant she was allowed to wear them to school. Has a detention now! HA!!

I have done nothing this morning! Had a lay-in, not even had breakfast! And going to be a long day - the other girl at work is not coming in. Great. Busy day in front of me.

Lots and lots to take to the post office this afternoon. Clothes to list on Ebay tonight and masses of washing. I mean - I do 2/3 loads a day and my basket is still full. How????

Anyway, Spag Bol for tea, and off to get read for work.. Ah well.

    have a great day all!
