Just walked DD1 (3) to preschool in it and am now freezing. Might ask my neighbour to mind the littlies when its time to go back for her so they dont have to go out in it.

12.30 viewing seemed to go well so will let you know what comes of it.

Off to have toast with tomaotes on for lunch and a large coffee.

    hi,

off uni today, as ds2 is full of cold and i have thrush in my mouth after taking antibiotics!! (total pain!!) i have been to boots that many times this week for stuff for it the pharmaist thinks i am stalking him!!!

caterina, i know exactly how u feel, my son who is 21 on monday, has been a total pain in the bum for ages, smoking dope, only lasts in job for a 1 month or so then can't be bothered to go. it seemed all he wanted to do was sleep in bed every day till 3pm then go out all night. we put up with it for ages then after what seemed like a thousand warnings, about getting drunk and coming back here and being very abusive to me , ds2 who only 7 and step dad, (who is really paitent!!)
It all come to a head in september, after we had allowed him to come stay back with us after his dad had kicked him out, he turned up drunk and throw food around the kitchen, broke my new table and tried to strangle, dh. !!!!

iam a nurse and a social worker, i had to use every skill that i have learned at uni, from restraint techniques to counselling him!!! he had to move out and is now living in a little flat, he still hasn't changed and he is just doing the same there, but thankfully not trying to kill dh, who has the paitents of a saint and has paid for furniture in his flat!! i am sure 'it will all come out in the wash'!! things will sort themselves out.

off to put log fire on now as its really cold here, no snow yet, but hope it arrives ds2 is excited at prospect and keeps checking his weather station for any sign of it!!

    bye love dorry xxxx

    Afternoon all

DH been working from home today so first time I've had to get near pc! DD's birthday next week so she's having a sleep over tonight - lots of excited girls in pj's running around the house at the moment!! HM pizza for tea - they'll choose their own toppings, HM choccy birthday cake for pud with jelly and ice cream.

DD came home with a letter from school tonight - she's been asked to go to London in 2 weeks time to an event to do with the BAFTA's and represent the school - posh hotel over night and an award for her part in the school ICT project!!!! She's chuffed to bits - it's a star studded event (so it says) and she's got to be there for 6.30pm for "drinks and nibbles" Most 10 year olds idea of heaven! I'm so pleased for her - she works so hard she deserves a special treat - just glad her teacher appreciates her as he nominated her.

It's tried to snow here today but failed miserably - hopefully we'll get some over night - will have a garden full of excited girls then!!

    Have a wonderful evening all.

Another busy day at work and so cold walking there and back.

Just had far too much time on my computer :o but have bought OH 2 Christmas presents using £5 play.com voucher and £5 prezzybox voucher - using cashback sites of course ;) - at this rate I'm going to come in under the budget we've set for each other, but have put a lot of effort into finding things I think he'll like so think that's much more important - and he has a birthday next week too.

Dinner is fish bits/chicken bits and chips/waffles and salad, in the oven now - really must get on with tidying, sorting and put some washing on too in a moment - then an early night I think - need to catch up on lack of sleep.

    Hi everyone

I want you all to sit down for this. I have had the least money saving day of my life! I got a 25% of Hair colour voucher for the local hairdressers, so I thought, "I know what, I will treat myself and colour my hair properly for once" and booked an appointment. DH said he would give me £40 towards it, and off I went. I have came home £138 pounds poorer!!!! I am in shock! I know I should have asked how much it would cost, it was my fault etc, but I am still in shock. It's because I had several colours put in over a base colour apparently. My hair does look lovely, however, but still.... £138!!!!

Sorry - had to get it out of my system!! (and I know there are worse things happening to other people)

Flippin' 'eck, henhog - They'd have been scraping me off the floor if I'd been presented with a bill like that. I baulk at paying £50+ on a cut and colour, so I do the colour myself (and my hairdresser loves it, so must be doing something right :D) However, put a positive spin on it or you will be thinking about the money not how good you look.

    Hey, Henhog.......lookin' goooooooooood!

There, you feel sooooo much better about it now, don't you :D

Just got the rascals off to bed but there are still lots of scurrying noises around the toybox in DS2's room, and we haven't got mice:). I'm off to gloss the woodwork in the dining room in a mo. Will take the little tv in there so can watch Celebrity GMOOH while I'm at it. I know it should be done in daylight, but small kids and wet gloss don't mix.

Ok, off to shunt DS1 back in to bed too. Hve a good evening. Hugs to those in need and so glad you're back CQ.

£11.75 for my cut and colour every 4 weeks at our local hairdressing college - and you would never know!
