Sodding estate agent has called today at 10.52am to say my 11am viewing had been cancelled    None of my kids woke today until gone 9am but I forced myself up at 6.30 to clean, SO ANGRY. I have another one due at 12.30 through a different agent so they had better show. I even have bread in the BM so the house smells lovely.
Oh well, plus side is that I now have sod all to do today and am going to totally chill

Bargain Rzl - It almost killed me, dancing with thousands of sweaty people, amusing to say the least. I was just very unhappy that alot of the people around me were smoking joints and the smell aggrevates my allergies and my nose was itching and was red raw.
Will be going to that shop on my lunch break today0 -
Hi all
no snow here in South London but overcast and cold - very cold in the house as I am waiting for the plumber to do some work so cannot put the heating on.
Feeling really dejected today - in the last few days all my troubles have come home to roost really - my father's death is really sinking in now, my mother was going to come over from Italy for Xmas but hurt her foot and might not come, on Weds. I was treated dismally at work by two colleagues and my boss, and to top it all my son is at risk of being thrown out of school due to pitiful perfomance and because of his drug habit (only smoking dope - as far as I know - but it is destroying him and the family with him because of its relentlessness and all his druggy friends keeping encouraging him to smoke).
I haven't slept for the last two nights, first night because I was so mad and upset at what happened at work, last night because I got woken up at 2 am by the doors banging and the smell of dope (my son smoking in his bedroom with the window open to let the smell go before I found out). BAD night ensued.
Re. work: the job that seemed to be going so well has suddenly turned into the nightmare from hell. I am going to take as much time off sick as I can and probably at the end of my paid sickness I shall resign. Luckily I have another small admin job that I do from home and some babysitting contacts, so I can still bring a little money in. In addition, of course, I have all my OS MSE Skills, which haven't been used fully for a few months, because working gave me a sense of financial security that afforded me a few luxuries, such as a weekly cleaner, presents for the kids etc. But I still have them and I shall make full use of them once my salary is no longer available.
No idea what I am going to cook for tonight - prob. just going to throw some veg and lentils together and make a soup and that's it - they are lucky they get fed, the way I feel!
Sorry, not my usual upbeat self today, but I just needed to get it off my chest - not asking for advice, just blowing steam.
Love to all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
:grouphug: to you Caterina. Sounds like you need some quality "me time", even half an hour in a warm bath with a good book.
My mother is going through similar with my younger brother (20) at the mo. Hes pawned her late mothers jewellery to make cash for dope and she has finally ended up asking him to leave the house. Maybe is will help him to see sense
You must always feel free to vent your feelings here on OS, we are all here for one another.
I hope things start to get better for you soon,

It snowed overnight here in Lowestoft but thankfully it didnt settle. So I did all my jobs as quickly as I could around town. Bought a train ticket to my bf's for next friday. Did some bits of housework.
Prepared the evening meal for tonight which will be shepherds pie followed by boil cake.
Later I have to meet my bf and his daughter from the train station. I only see him at the weekends as he lives in London so it's great when they get here.
Its still lightly snowing outside but not settling so I'm not looking forward to the trek up the school again this afternoon.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Don't, Estate agents are pain in the bum. When we where selling they turned up one sunday morning with the prospective buyers in tow. Ummmmm no appointment had been made with us and the place was a tip as I had computers out all over the place and sunday lunch was about to be started.
We turned them away had lunch tided up and ran away when they came back in the afternoon. We where never there when prospective buyers turned up. Less hassle and means they could be as rude as they wanted. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! And it did not make them feel uncomfortable and it was a tiny flat where did we go. The garden :rotfl:
Fingers crossed as I do understand the stress of selling and buying a house. Only did 9 months ago myself and it has left me scarred for life. No only joking but it is still fresh in my mind.
