    Hi everyone :hello:

Life is just bobbing along at the moment. I managed to make a dent in the ironing pile last night................ but there's still so much more to do. Where does it all come from. On the plus side, my drawers open properly because they're not too full :D :rotfl:

My dad has sent me a £5 voucher for Threshers/Victoria Wine. :j Although we don't have one round here, there's one in the town where OH's parents live so we'll be visiting there soon. Might treat ourselves and get a slightly more expensive than normal bottle.

I've also been to visit my "new school" for January. I'm all excited now, which is quite positive. I thought I might be really nervous, but that'll come on the very first day of term. *insert petrified smilie here* Anyway, I've already managed to upset someone who wanted to teach the class that I'm going to be teaching. Not my fault as apparently she said in a staff meeting that she "didn't mind". Nevertheless, her greeting to me today was frosty to say the least. Ah well.

I celebrated by popping for a coffee and :shhh: muffin in the local coffee shop. Unfortunately, I seem to use this coffee shop for any celebration or commiseration. I really must stop doing this as a) it's expensive to do it all the time and b) it's very fattening.

Supper tonight will be a chicken stir fry. Plenty of veggies in the fridge to bung in, depending on how we're feeling - other than fat! I need to make up another batch of veggie pasta sauce though. Probably do that on Saturday - or get some mince from our local butcher and do a spag bol and pad it out with loads of veggies.

    See you later

OMG- I havejust spent 2 hours putting away the entire december grocery shop  Trying out buying a months worth of non-perishables to stop those little spends mid week when I top up on milk/bread etc. Somehow the sprogs (and mummy :o )always wind up with a bar of choccie or something which tallies up and adds a wack to my monthly outgoings. There were 41 bags and I had to reorganise the whole kitchen to fit the stuffin. Big grumps towards DH who scoffs his way through 10kg of frosted flakes a month  try finding somewhere to store that!

The HUGE plus side though is that all my yeast/flour etc has arrived for my BMs o the first loaf of wholemeal is on the go now :j CANT WAIT

2 viewers tomorrow morning and another on saturday so the dusting marathon starts in earnest again tonight. Fingers crossed that something comes of these ones.

Putting DD1 (3) back into night nappies for one week to see if she sleeps better with them on and then back to dry nights hopefully.

Off to have a well earned :coffee: and watch some tv taped from last night.

    Love to all,
    Al.

First chance I've had to post today - every time I tried at work it was off - and I can't check too often - others can see my screen.

Not doing very well with the OS right now - but settling into the work routine - need to think of some things I can take in for lunch to save some money there and save having to go out the office when it's cold.

Need to go and wash up last night's plates (oops) and then have a quick snack before going out for a rehearsal then off for a meal out afterwards :) Nice treat, just a chinese buffet - but nice to socialise with people - just have to try and get up on time for work tomorrow.

    Hi everyone
Not been around too much this week, yesterday at Portsmouth visiting DD & DGDs, today been out most of the day.
BUT I have had to call out the AA twice to get me home today & yesterday!!!
Yesterday it was the bonnet that would not stay closed & the chap had to take the catch apart & grease it (didn't fancy the M25 with a bonnet that might fly open at any minute) and today the car just plain wouldn't start! Something to do with the immobiliser. But as soon as the AA man arrived, guess what! It started 1st time!!

It looks as if winter has arrived, doesn't it? I can't say I'm too keen on all this rain & cold.........
  • Oh what a day!!!!!! Today was my second day back at work and I swear they are trying to send me off sick again!! We have five lessosn in a day at my school and a morning register and instead of giving me a lighter day due to my CFS problems they decided that I should cover all five lesson and do morning reg too! I cannot believe it sometimes, I am sure they don't understand CFS at all. I have been waiting for an appointment with the occupational health but its taking ages.

Anyway, I made the lovliest sausage cassarole yesterday. I adapted a few recipies and it turned out really well. My OH is half Italian and has never had a lot of the food we all think is normal, its brilliant when I give him something new and he totally loved the cassarole. He had no idea what one even was until I served it!! Can you imagine what that must be like?? Crazy.

I managed a little bit of washing yesterday before hospital, it all got dried on the radiators and put away earlier. I will be making dinner in a little while, we are having some lovely fresh pasta from Aldi's with a bit of cream, some chedder and a grating of fresh parmisan that OH's nan bought back from Sicily, yum! Nice and easy to make and really tasty!

I hope that the servers are all sorted now because I can't think of any other sites to go on when I havn't got MSE! Its a shame isn't it, how sad am I?? Any way, i'm off for a quick brows then dinner. Take it easy.

JW - I could do with a wardrobe like that - I've got built in ones that are hopeless!

Oh - you'd love it!! Its almost ceiling height (and we have got really high ceilings) and both doors are mirrored (so I can see if my !!!!!! looks big at last!) and there are 3 storage drawers inside (for shoes, naturally!) and shelves (for posh sweaters etc - I dont actually have any yet but I imagine that I have some when I think of it!) and loads of hanging space!

Ive gotta wake the boyf up now though - I need to lift it off the floor and I cant do it by myself. I have no idea how to install the shelves, they go up higher than my head and I cant find anything sturdy enough to stand on. Oh well - if I dont post tomorrow I got squished by it!

Hope you all had a nice day - mine was fairly rubbish because every whingebag in town came in today but I got some free coffee pods when I got home so its not all bad!

DD and I had the dentist to go to today, for a check up.It turned out our NHS dentist had left(why do they never last more than about 18 months?) and we had a new one.
She was very heavy handed with the dreaded descaler(ice pick, more like).I looked like dracula when I checked my teeth in the rear view mirror once we were back at the car.
Its been very cold wet and windy but at least no snow yet.
I've been playing with the knitting machine again. The video makes it look so easy, the carriage flying back and forth over faultless rows, then I have a go for real and ..oh look, all those stitches have jumped off the needles again :)
Its a good thing it is my hobby or I'd give it up.

What a hideous day. Started work at 7am. Long old day with an interview for new post at the end. Tough one!!! I thn had to drive 14 miles like the wind to meet the family at the train station and go late night shopping in Plymouth. The train is bound to be late thinks I. But no it's bang on time. Made it with seconds to spare.

Shopping was hopeless, could not find anything. The here's the icing on the cake!!! The train home was 1 1/2 hours late!!!!!!!!!!! So we did not get home till midnight. First great western rail are crap!
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!
