Well - now have only one poorly DD who is in a duvet on the couch watching tv.
Made her home made drop scones so she feels "cared for" and will have to go out later and buy her a new dresssing gown.
DH is still painting in the hall and I am still slurping coffee - deja vu or what?
Made two hot packs using rice and towels yesterday and DDs really like them - no idea what to cook tonight."This site is addictive!"

Morning everyone,
I had a busy day planned today, visiting friends and shopping to do. All that changed when my five year old arrived beside my bed at 6am, pale and clammy and saying he felt sick. Poor little thing was really not well, but he's sleeping it off now.
So it looks like I'm going to have a day in the house building lego and playing board games....but things here have been so busy lately that it will be good to spend some time with him on his own. He loves cooking and baking, so perhaps if he feels a bit better this afternoon we could do something like that together, even if it's only making jelly, it might cheer him up.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :hello:
BF and I finally found a cinema with a showing of Harry Potter at a convenient hour of last night. Very good film but would have been a lot more exciting if I hadn't read the book. Instead spent all evening thinking three things: 1) oh no, xxxx is going to happen next! 2) they missed out all the stuff about xxxx, and 3) what on earth possessed the couple two rows in front of me to bring a tiny baby to see a loud, scary movie, and to think it was ok to sit there with the baby making baby noises ALL the way through, disturbing the rest of the paying audience
Anyway, if that had to be a 12A certificate I wonder what the powers that be will do when they get around to filming the sixth book which has got loads of even scarier stuff in it.
Before I went to bed I was filling in application forms for a Tesco Clubcard (that's right, I don't have one yet - it's never seemed worth it as I spend so little - but want it in time for the booze stock-up I always do when things are on offer at Christmas) and Boots Advantage Card (used to have one but lost it, and, again, hardly seem to buy anything). Anyway, I then had the weirdest dream that I had to fill in a Clubcard application on behalf of Lord Voldemort :rotfl:
Managed to save £41.01 - hooray!! - by cancelling an order for a Freeview box/PVR which the suppliers never sent me, then finding a better product elsewhere for less! :T The saga is not yet over as I have not yet received the new piece of kit - but here's hoping it turns up in the next few days. I've ordered it to be delivered to my office to be sure that somebody's in. All I want is Freeview, and a financially and spatially economical way of taping it, as soon as possible - not too much to ask, surely
Onto the OS stuff - not a lot today I'm afraid, except that I'm having reheated HM food for lunch! Off on free press tickets to the opera tonight with housemate, and hopefully having drinks with friend from the chorus who I haven't seen for quite a while. Bit worried about us both being out, cos when I was out last night, housemate had some trouble with lowlife hanging around outside and causing bother/banging on doors and windows etc. Neighbour is keeping an eye on the place while we're out - housemate is actually hoping they do something the police will finally arrest them for
Must work out what I will have for lunch tomorrow, as I'm out this evening - everything in freezer needs stuff doing to it before it can be served as a meal (curry with no rice, fish pie with no peas, etc) so might have to be creative. Also need to work out when I will get the chance to do my next big cook-up for the freezer - guess it's going to be Saturday morning cos every other time slot is spoken for until Tuesday evening :eek:Operation Get in Shape
