Morning!
DS2 puked all over himself last night, it went over OH and DS1 as well
Poor little thing, had to stick him in the bath while he was screaming his head off. Anyway, as you can imagine, bedding was saturated so we all had to swap beds and I slept with him on the floor in his room. At 3am DD woke up crying for me so OH bought her to in and she ended up sleeping with us on floor  Had to give her some cough med as she couldn't sleep for coughing.
Anyway, DS2 is off skool (he's fine now - typical eh? ), my kind neighbour took DS1 to skool for me so I am tackling the pukey washing!!
The worse thing is, my mum had to go to hosp with bad chest pains this morn, I'm waiting to hear how she is - hope it's nothing bad.Mortgage-free wannabe!0 -
I'm well and truly back onto OSing now. I went to the Good Food Show in Birmingham yesterday and drooled for a short time over the kenwoods. Then had a look round picking up vouchers, free samples and food tasters for a couple of hours. I'm back today with a huge list of things to do
1) go to the post office to repost something the royal mail has lost again!
2) loaf in the BM
3) washing in the WM
4) pop to the shops for some milk
5) pop to another shop to pick an order up.
6) HM lasagne for lunch, providing i sort the pasta question out (anyone had a look at the HM pasta thread? any help would be great...)
Better go find out what the children are fighting over.....0 -
Morning all,
No snow but it is bitterly cold and not looking forward to picking up DD from nursery at lunch time. The house looks like a bomb site as O/H put loads of suff on ebay last night (10p listing) so all that needs shifting and I need to do some baking as nothing sweet in for the weekend. WM on but have to do dishes manually as don't have such a luxury as DW.
Lunch today is ? (haven't decided)
Dinner tonight is toad in the hole, stomp, veg and onion gravy
Ruyareece, fingers crossed for your Mum hope she's okay.
Have a good day and kept warm.

Morning all
Sorry havent been round on Wednesday or Thursday, I was suffering the aftermath of the Prodigy gig then I whisked OH off christmas shopping and took him to see Harry Potter and had a meal in TGI fridays, a meal for 2 with 2 starters, 2 large pepsis, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 2 adults into cinema and a large drink and popcorn came to £29.45. I would say that would bl00dy good in my opinion.
The concert was absolutuly amazing and we made sure we got drunk in the cheap happy hours in the bars around the arena instead of in the arena, saving mucho £££..
Yesterday I had a photosensitive migraine attack and im putting it down to the gig with the pyrotechnics and lights. Still worth it. I managed to make OH a fruit tea loaf and he said he enjoyed it so much he wants one of those instead of a christmas cake, which suits me fine. I think im going to make my mam, two grandmas and MIL a one for christmas too as a mini present.
Going to try on wedding dresses tomorrow, or more in particular the £750 one, I really have my heart set on it but I want to try it on more than once, and I want the honest opinion of my mam. We're going to be picking up the stuff to make favours, im dead eager to start on them… if I make them now they should last till next october shouldn’t they?
Will post back later in the day, gotta catch up on office gossip

Hello all,
Loads of snow here in Devon, I've just taken Little DD out to play in it, she hasn't seen it before. Older DDs went into school but are on their way home again.
I've just put a rapid loaf in the BM because I wasn't expecting any of us to be here for lunch. I think I'll make soup, I know I've got some nice veg.
I had a big shopping day planned, and then was going to a friends for birthday lunch but I'm quite glad to stay home because I had my flu jab yesterday and I ache all over today.
Have a nice day all of you, I did miss you all yesterday when I couldn't get on to the site,

Morning All :hello:
Hugs to all with sick kids and those feeling poorly themselves.
ancasta - good to hear from you, I was beginning to wonder if the Prodigy gig had actually killed youDid you take my advice about buying your wedding lingerie?
Had great night last night with housemate on our freebie opera tickets, and what's more I came in under budget cos we only stopped for one beer afterwards and it was his round!
Lunch will be HM fish pie with peas, thanks to me remembering before bed last night (a) to take the pie out of the freezer and (b) to cook the peas. Dinner will be curry which is also out of the freezer and just needs me to cook some rice when I get home tonight.
Have got a very busy weekend tomorrow - got to fit shopping, cooking, washing etc into the morning as I'm going to a matinee of a show that one of my friends has directed (only £7 so bargain) then am also out in the evening, and singing/rehearsing all day Sunday. I hate having to set my alarm on Saturday mornings but I think in this case needs must. I also need to fit in some singing practice as I've just found out that my solo will be covered in one of my Sunday rehearsals and I haven't even picked up the music for over a week.
Think I'll do a sausage and bacon pasta bake to use up a slightly sad-looking red pepper from the bottom of the fridge, but for some reason my rubbish local Tesco has stopped selling value "cooking bacon"so I will need to make a bus trip to Asda or "big Tesco". Am wondering if a late-night trip to 24-hour Asda this evening is justifiable on the basis that I would then get an extra hour in bed tomorrow morning! I certainly need it.

No snow here in essex either anacasta! I am sure it will get to the east of the country eventually! Just the thought of it is making me want to go start off a pot of hm soup in the slow cooker and start some bread off in the bread maker!
Must get away from the pc and do something! Am off to see Harry Potter later today and will probably eat out, not very ol style but it's a farewell treat as my friend is going back up north to live!
Ruyareece I hope your Mum is ok! (((hugs))))
Vastsarah ((((hugs)))) lost my uncle at beginning of the year and it left me a bit shell shocked for a while.
PP hope you are keeping warm in this cold weather and that the pain is not too bad. Enjoy your meal out tomorrow! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
