Couldn't be bothered to get up and go swimming this morning as I'm still recovering from a nasty cold.......so I got up and made soup instead! That's lunch for today and tomorrow sorted. Off to work shortly then out to an evening class afterwards. Still have a pile of mushy bananas waiting to be turned into banana bread but have no idea when I'm going to find the time to bake. It's not so much the mixing as the fact that I've got to be around for long enough to put the cake in the oven and take it out again afterwards. I'm out tonight, tomorrow evening and Thurs evening so might have to get up early tomorrow morning. I can't bear the thought of throwing them out!

Getting fed up with saying this but Ive had a really bad night. My whole body hurts and I feel completely shatered  I think Im going to call my specialist rhumy today as I feel awful.

Anyways, 1 washload to do. DW needs emptying. OH is getting the stuff together for the council and should find out today whether they will take away the few items for free. BM needs to go on for pizza dough sometime today. Hopefully, will get OH to swep and mop downstairs as it wasnt done yesterday :o

    Will catch up later.

Morning all - Bright and not so cold here this morning - 20 min whip round done, washing up done, dishwasher emptied, washing washing, beds made, lunch boxes made and kids at school...how easy it is when DH is away and not taking up valuable space! (I do miss him really)

Off to the shops this morning - friend is treating me to brekkie and need to pick up some milk. Got a boots voucher burning a hole in my pocket and a £5 sainsbury one plus about £10 worth of nectar points that I might use if I see something handy!

Going to paint some Xmas decs I made later - made hearts and stars to go on a garland over the fire place, I made them from salt dough last month and they've been undercoated - just need to get creative and then thread some nice ribbon through them. Going have a go at the "magic air drying dough" someone posted too - might come in handy for using with my little one's to make some Xmas decs to take home. Need to get out in the garden and gather some twigs for a project tomorrow - I'm being assessed on a craft session with 5 kids coming to help (oh joy)

Anyway - must dash - have a good one all.

Having another day of work today as still feeling terrible. Being at home is actually rather boring unless it is a planned holiday or a weekend and I want to go back already! I never thought id say that to be honest. I still want to find a new job though as mine is incredibly boring so i might make some lists today and see if I can figure out some perfect jobs for me.

    Have a nice day all.

Hey Nabowla! Just stick the bananas in the freezer in their skins and thaw them when you're ready to make your banana bread! I did this recently and baked the bread last Saturday - it was scrummy! No probs at all.

  • Morning :hello:

Had loads of plans for housework/tidying/ironing last night...

...but got invited to the pub, had three drinks, went home, ate microwave dinner (home made at least), surfed MSE for a bit then went to sleep :o At least the pub was free - had all drinks paid for by rich boss's boss

At least I remembered to take various things out of the freezer. Today for lunch I am having the last of Saturday's SC sausage and spud casserole, then for dinner it will be the previous Saturday's SC pork & pineapple curry. As I don't have a lot of freezer space I often freeze 1ltr boxes of curry even though I know that when you add rice 1ltr is actually 2 portions. So I'll make 2 portions of rice tonight, dish up 1 portion of curry, put half the (cooled) rice into the empty half of the box which tonight's dinner has come out of, and take the box of curry and rice to work as tomorrow's MW lunch :D

I will also be doing some cooking for the freezer tonight - I've got a pack of value mince (reduced to 20p!) out to defrost, and will be adding onion, garlic, peppers, carrots, tomato (tinned & puree), red wine and herbs to do a sort of bolognese-type thing. Perhaps I will pick up a tin of kidney beans to stretch it further...

Must also have a look on the internet - I've been trying to buy a Freeview twin tuner PVR for months, had saved up (£250) and it's turned into the most unbelievable saga involving companies going out of business, manufacturers not being able to supply stock, retailers sending me somebody else's order etc etc etc. STILL don't have one! However, yesterday I discovered that there's another brand which does all the things I want for less money (or an even higher spec, still for marginally less than I'd originally planned to pay :D ) I am determined to be digital by Christmas!

Anyway, have a lovely day everybody and I might pop back later.

Morning everyone.Nothing much planned for me today apart from an hours housework, everythings clean it just needs tidying up and everything put back to its place.

I know it sounds crazy but for november i didnt have a pin money challenge and ive actually spent less than previous months because i wasnt counting the costs,to be honest i couldnt be bothered and so all my receipts went in the tub untouched until last night and ive spent £20 less than the months i realy tried hard.Maybe ive truely trained myself from those impulse buys.

Going to look at soup recipes today to see if i can find a one that looks and tastes like heinz vegetable soup and not the awful broth type with barley in.

hope all whos poorly will feel better soon.

    Hello Everybody

I haven't posted in here for a few days. My DIL & GS are still here with us. Granny is stuffed.:D Went to work this morning. My castle hampers came this arv. :jDo you have anything like that over there? You pay a small amount each month for a hamper or hampers of your choice and they get delivered around this time of year. It's like Xmas come early. I have hidden all the choccies & goodies. I will have to be very good not to sneak in and take them. ;)

Ran out of water yesterday, DH was in the shower. Hee Hee. Glad it was him and not me. Had to fill up with bore water. Nice, NOT. Hair will be a head of straw by next week. Although looking at the fashion mags, DD buys the straw look is in. Hope you all have a nice day.

PS. Warm, sunny & breezy day today. Wonderful washing day. :D Not that I'm smirking or anything.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
