    Hello everyone,

It is very cold here - I've got the heating on and a jumper - I might even have to take drastic measures and do the hoovering to try to keep warm! I have taken the car for it's MOT this morning - luckily it passed, but it still cost £44.15! Now I have to get a new tax disk - I want to buy six months to move it away from Christmas, bu tI hate the way the six month one costs more than half of the twelwe month one (if you know what I mean) I think it is outrageous to make money from poorer people like this!

Ancasta - love the wedding dress - it is beautiful.

I have DS1 school play this afternoon - looking forward to seeing him, but potentially nightmare situation because I doubt that DS2 will sit still through it! I will have to be naughty and bring sweets!

    Have a good day everyone,

    Hi everyone
Sorry to hear about those who have had rotten nights.
Kiwichick: I used to get ours up & sit them on the potty just before i went to bed. It didn't usually wake them up, but they just kind of got into the habit of going anyway!
I have done next to nothing today so far. Not even had breakfast! I did treat myself to a nice hot bubble bath, and have done some washing. But other than that the house is a tip!
DS (age 15) says he will take me out to lunch, and I have been on the phone for about 2 hours to DD in Portsmouth.
Well, it is my birthday, so I am entitled to have a morning off I think!
Probably have a very busy afternoon to do some catching up, though!

    Kiwichick,

3 years old is still quite young and lots and lots of 3 year olds will still be wearing nappies at night. I know of children who were still wearing nappies during the day at 4 years old. My neighbours little girl is nearly 7 and she still wear nappies at night. The health visitor told her not to worry about it until she was 8 or 9 years old.

Afternoon all - a very early cold start today - freezing fog still lingering in places. DH had to get up early to go off to more meetings up north somewhere, forgot to reset the heating timer so I (cos I'm just far too good) got up at 4.45am to put the heating on so he wouldn't freeze in the shower!

Despite the early start I still managed to be late in leaving the house and DD's had to run to catch the walking bus! Did a good whizz round the house with the hoover and the brush attachment (I use it for a quick dust on surfaces) Got 3 loads of washing done and dried in the tumble drier and all put away, got the ironing basket out so that I will trip over it before going to bed (might make me do it) and have spent the rest of the morning watching dvds and wrapping xmas presents. Everything is now wrapped apart from DD's presents which will be done on Xmas eve with a glass of something nice and a bit of Christmassy music on in the background.

Dinner tonight will be sausage and mash and what ever veg comes out the freezer first. Tomorrow will be a major baking day - got some chicken to use up so will make a pie and a soup, I'm out of cakes and biscuits for lunch boxes so will need to replenish those too. Got a nice shallow flapjack/brownie tin in Matalan yesterday along with a nice heart shapped cake tin (DD's birthday next Tuesday) Will have a practise and work out quantities to make it easier for next time.

Got to pop off and get into work mode now as I've a little one arriving any second....this afternoon I shall be mostly playing trains!

    Have a good one all.

I am going to make a sausage cassarole today.

Can you please tell me how PG? I have sausages galore in my freezer and want to do a SC sausage casserole but havent the first clue how :o

Chipps- Happy Birthday!!! Mine is tomorrow, both scorpios aye????

Have been out with DD2 (1) this morning only to come home and find that DH has agreed to a viewing on the house at 3pm   ARGH ARGH ARGH, B****y T****r, what is it with men. Needless to say he hasnt bothered to try and clean anything, just left it to me when I got in. He is now at physio for the next 1 1/2 hours so I now will do it all with 3 littlies at my feet.

Might trade him in for a wife, they seem to make a better job of things (with the obvious exceptions of our resident supermen MATH and SQUEAKY).

Right, off to run around with the duster/hoover etc.

    Chat later,
    Al.

    Afternoon all

Have only just woken up (well, aside from the 5mins the alarm woke me up for) as im now really ill, I cant hear through my left ear, my glands and tonsil on the left are reayy swollen and sore, and ive got a temperature. So im off work.

Tonights dinner will be leftover roast chicken in gravy and chips - if I can be bothered to stand up for the 20 minutes that takes. I Still havent registered with a local doctor so I should probably do that at some point, as my old doc's is in Bath and its way too far to drive in my current state.

More painkillers and plenty of water for me....

  • Afternoon all,

Finally the sun is shining and warming things up a bit but the forcast is wintery showers for us in yorkshire by the weekend so better dig the wellies out this aft.

Kiwichick, my youngest DD(4) has only just started to go through the night without nappies we did try her when she was about 3yrs but she just kept wetting the bed so I came to the conclusion she just wasn't ready so left it until she was older and we cracked it within a week. I know its hard when other mums tell you their child was dry alot earlier and I felt such a failure that mine wasn't but evey child is different. Hope this helps!

Nothing much planned for the rest of the day, Dinner tonight is Liver and saus casserole, veg, mash and HM yorks pudding followed by HM apple crumble and custard (my favourite )

Have a good day and hope you all sleep better tonight.
