Aaaaahhhh - beyond help then ;) Not to worry - you can be 'considerably smugger than her' whilst thinking of how much you're saving and she's wasting:T

At home, Old Style is my homepage.

At work, it's the first thing I open when I log on in the morning.

I don't even consider myself as being all that committed (work long hours and can't put into practice as much as if I worked from home or was raising a family) but I am certainly beyond help!

    Hi everyone :hello:

My car had its service yesterday, and thankfully it's ok and didn't cost me any more than the "basic" service. Having said that, it's still not cheap. :( Whilst my car was in the garage, I'd arranged to meet up with a friend and her baby daughter and go shopping with them. I bought a handbag - mine is falling to bits. They bought everything! I had to steer the push chair every now and again, and I'd never realised what awkward things they are - especially in shops with no room for maneouvre.

Work today has been ok. The children are quite sweet, but don't seem to have a clue about what "being quiet whilst the teacher is talking" means! The children in the class that I've been in (Mon, today and tomorrow) haven't had their class teacher in since the 2nd week of term. Instead, they've had a steady supply of supply teachers - I'm probably number 15, or something like that. Now, if I was the school - or any of the parents, then I'd have requested a long term supply teacher. Oh well, there's very little that I can do other than be "keen" to be available whenever necessary.

Supper tonight is a beef stroganof. Hopefully OH will let me know when he's on his way and I'll be able to get the food cooking. I've had the creme fraiche hanging around for a while, so it needs to be used up.

I try to meal plan as much as possible, I really should be stricter though. However, I was talking to someone the other night about meal planning and she thought that it was revolutionary! She couldn't believe what a good idea it was. And she couldn't work out why she spent so much when she was out shopping - but she never took a shopping list with her. She's got 3 grown up children and I was just amazed! She was amazed at me too....... There's nowt as queer as folk.

Anyway, best be off to try and fight my way through the internet maze.

Hee hee! If only! She's a "i'm considerably richer than thou" type person....

 Then entice her with a "You may be considerably richer than thee but I know how you can be *obscenely* rich" ;)

    Might just appeal  LOL

Alfie - I love your comment about everything your Granny should of /could of taught you - the old ways have long been overtaken by the gotta-have-NOW! generations - it's nice to keep the old ways (which took centuries to acquire) ;)

    ENJOY!! :T :T
