Have been on a course today - v.interesting but it's SO tiring sitting in a room all day listening to lots of information.

I'm afraid I'm not having a very OS day today. OH is bringing in fish & chips for tea! I feel really tired (kids haven't yet got the idea that the clocks have gone back, so have been up around 5am ever since Sunday!)

Have had to sort out problems re: our bank account - basically someone's 'cloned' my OH's card & has, so far, spent about £100!!!!! _pale_ It's been passed to the fraud team but will be a bit of a delay until the money gets reimbursed!!! Luckily, because I bank on-line, I can keep a good check on ALL spending!!!

1 load of washing has been done, just need to get it out of the machine & put another load in! Also need to empty the DW.

    Have a good evening all!

I LOVE working through my lunch hour!! I finished at 4 yesterday and today, and its lovely getting home before work even closes...... It also means I dont go shopping on my lunch hour and spend extraordinary amounts on things I keep seeing that I want (like Ipods, handbags, purses, xmas decorations, earrings etc etc...)

Anyway, today has been alright really, all the customers were nice today so nothing to complain about - and tomorrow the sofa is here!! No more sitting on the floor - woohoo!!!!

Next week I have booked 2 days off too, so thats something to look forward to.

Tonight im going to have salmon and veg for dinner (ive given up the starch - am dieting hardcore style), watch a movie, and I might nip to b&q - I keep seeing a kitchen bin I like - but I might wait until I have a couple of days off next week and have some fun shopping then instead!

  • Hello :hello: all,

Another mental day today, back to work and being the kid's taxi again.

Had a funeral for DDs newt :( Big thanks to eveyone who gave me advice on telling DD :A She's taking it very well.

Just been out for what was supposed to be a cheap meal but ended up paying a small fortune :o I've just wiped out everything I've saved over the last month in one go. These pre OS habits are very hard to break.

See you all in the morning.

Worked all day - lots of stamping, highighting checking etc but 1/3 of the way with next months rent now :)

Spent no money at all today as took bits from the cupboards with me (all of which were on offer in tescos when I bought them) so I'm pleased and didn't use the car at all today so making the petrol last longer too.

Made home made chilli tonight - someone at work today asked if I used a sauce when I said I was making homemade chilli for dinner  of course not - all fresh/tinned things, no packets, jars etc. :) Was very nice and pretty filling too so that's good.

It's my birthday tomorrow and have a nice little pile of cards and some presents my parents left and OH has got me (he'd just finished wrapping them up when I got home so he showed me :) ) - went and got some biscuits to take into work from tescos last night - used some coupons to cover most of them ;) - not very OS I know but space and time restrict making things at the moment.

Anyway need to get on with sorting stuff - never ending battle here - even with only 2 of us :o

    Morning all

DS's at school with their packed lunches. I was going to go straight into Preston

    Hey TM,
I didn't realise you came into the metropolis! I hope my fellow Prestonians were very kind to you this morning. I hadn't realised how many Lancastrians there are on here until I started seeing discussions about Burnley Lidl, etc.
We are all in good company on here though aren't we?

Not too bad a day today. I have been a bit more motivated about getting up earlier in the morning to give me time to make lunch to take to work which makes a huge difference to the amount of cash I have been getting through in a week. I was wondering why my visits to the cashpoint were more frequent. :o

Have a good night everyone. I expect someone is already waiting to make the first post in the OS Wednesday thread in an hour or so. I always seem to get on here so late there is hardly any point. Never mind, I will babble away to myself......see you all in the morning!

  • Morning

Thought I'd start the thread this morning as it hadnt been started yet.

Another bad night last night-think Ive had some kind of tummy bug on top of the usual ailments-not nice..lol.

Anyways, a washload has been done and dried in TD as its rainy here this morning. DW needs to be emptied. Have cooked some sausages up to put in SC as a cassarole in a minute for lunch/dinner/freezer etc. Wrapped 3 parcels from ebay for OH to post today :D

Have my pschotherapy at 1pm and really need to go as my MH has been bad the last few weeks-think its just where im stuck indoors alot but not anything i can really do about that ATM. Im never very good after mt therapy, so have asked OH if he minds taking me to Aldi/Asda after picking DD from school as I dont like going straight home after. I need to get some bits anyway and will give me an excuse to look in Aldis-as long as I can take me wheelchair in there!

The stairs and landing are coming on very well. Almost all paint has been stripped back to bare wood. OH thinks its never been done properly which means the paint has been on there and added etc over about 45years  once its all been stripped which he should be finishing today-he is going to start painting.

I have to call SS about the stairlift being fitted today and see what the goal date is, Im needing it more and more and think it will help my independance a great deal. Will also ask about the bathroom to whilst on the phone as they are suppose to be taking bath out and completely gutting it to make a walk in shower room, fully tiled etc-I think that will be more next year and may be a wait.

Breakie is toast. Lunch sausage casarole/rice. Dinner not sure yet.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Penny-Pincher!!

    Morning you two *blows kisses*

Had a cracking night on monday for halloween, had my best friend round and we stuffed ourselves with junk food :D didnt get one single trick or treater, despite OH's brilliant pumpkin.

Yesterday was a busy busy busy day. I took on a GNVQ @ work and finished it in 2 weeks. The colleges record for fastest GNVQ is 10 weeks so i broke that by 8 weeks. GO ME OR WHAT!!! :j :j :j

Today I have the day off and im going to Durham with the M.i.L. Its only about 30 mins away on the bus so its not too bad.

Will post back later once ive had my morning dose of nicotine and caffeine.

  • Morning all,

Work has come as areal shock to the system after having a week off last week. I'm thinking of changeing my job at the moment so its quite wearing going in and pretending its business as usual whilst I'm arranging job interviews in my time off.

Shopping day today but I'm going to have a store cupboard week this week so I'll try not to buy too much stuff.

    Have a good day
