Evening all, very late posting today!!

Not very OS day today. Put load in TD before school run but then went straight over to friend's house & spent the day there, until it was time to do the school run again!!

DS1 parent's evening tonight. He had a FAB report! He is one of the youngest in his class (being an August baby) but has really calmed down since going into Year 1 & teacher says he's made real progress! Bless!!!!:A

Just going to take another load out of the machine, sort it then will go to bed! Back to work tomorrow!

    :hello: Morning

Good to see you CQ :j (Edited: to add - CQ left a message HERE )

Baking day today at the Queenie Household.
The weather is a bit nippier this morning (still haven't turned the heating on yet though) :o

Experimented last night with an idea that I discovered in an old cookery book and attempted to cook a meal in the grill, (Pork chops, pasta, steamed veggies and tomatoes) - delighted to report, it was a success :j :j

Today though, it'll be a SC meal because I need the oven for my bake-a-thon :)

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning

Another bad night, but am finding it easier to cope with...kind of...lol.

Yesterday, managed to get to pschotherapy, then popped to Aldi/Asda for an hr and picked up a few bits we needed. Aldi items seemed very good quality and bought some lovely danish of which I had one last night :o and was scrummy. Feel absolutely shattered but glad i got out for a while yesterday :D

One washload to do today and will be dried in TD as very wet and windy here this morning. Made 2 shepards pies last night one for tonight and one for the freezer-so dinner sorted. Have cleaner coming today, so everything will get done including new bedding put on. We are going to my sisters tomorrow evening so cleaner has come a day earlier  Sister is coming here first as she has to take her DS to Great Ormand Street and will follow them back in the car-so wanted the house tip top :p DD's and our bedding needs to be stripped (ours washed and put back on today), have to have a quick tidy through-should take about 5 mins as house basically done-just a very good clean needed.

Have dentist at 10am, so not looking forward to that but am glad i have a great dentist who makes me feel totally at ease.

Breakie is a toastie. Lunch is liver, bacon & mash. Dinner is shepards pie and veg.

Have also bought a microfibre cloth off ebay and am going to try that as our dust levels are so high. We have wooden blinds and they need doing at least twice a week but normally only get done once when cleaner does them. We have tried a few different methods and at present use a duster with polish and this works well, but have read that a microfibre cloth will cut down dust further.

Making a cake with DD when she gets in from school-just a betty crocker packet mix that needs using-we bought in the USA last year.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Penny-Pincher!!

I use some old bath/body gloves on my blinds ... but, for wooden one's, you could try using an old sports sock (actually, my boys do this on the skirting boards so maybe your dd might like to do this for you on the blinds? ) slip an old sock over hands and simply wipe.

jw1096 it must be something in the air. i was up late last night fighting with the other half too !! we are all ok again ( well i couldnt really stay mad after he bought me a brand new hard back book yesterday could i? ) but it took a few jack daniels and cokes to make it all better and thanks to that, i am suffering this morning. :o

the weather is horrible again - i really find these wet windy days quite depressing and struggle to get going in the mornings-just looking at all those energetic smilies in your post queenie makes me feel quite exhausted lol

but i have lots to do today.

20 min blitz is first, then a clear out of my bedroom storage space, listings to be done on ebay, amazon and ebay sales stuff to be posted, legs to be waxed - ouch ouch ouch it hurts just to say that! - and an egg custard tart to be made.

breakfast is porridge - lunch wil be a cheese and onion sandwich - dinner is sausage, mash, runner beans and onion gravy. yumm. still have some blackberry and apple crumble left from tuesday for puds.

have a lovely day all :D
