Hello all,
Lovely sunny, breezy day here Hee Hee.I have done quite a bit today around the house that was needing doing. Sorted out bookwork as well. I have just fed family and I am on my way out. Work friend is having birthday tea out. It's all you can eat seafood. Yummy. I have fasted all day for the big event. Work is paying for it :T so it's a freebie. Social club thingo. Have to drive home so won't be able to do much  Hugs to all those that need them. Best go. Have a great day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
I don't get chance to get on MS very often nowadays - much less post! I'm working from home today - so lots of paperwork on the kitchen table. Not very OS as I'm heating the house just for me, but I can get much more thinking done.
OH was given a pheasant last night, so tonight he has to learn how to prepare it ready for me to cook
Well, must get on. The weather outside is turning blustery and wet so it will be quite nice working in a lovely warm kitchen (must keep out of the biscuit tin though!).Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Hiya everyone
Well, got DS1 off to school after a fight. It's his school piccy day so I made him jump in the shower with Mr TM so he could have his hair washed as it usually sticks up in the morning. He wasn't for having any of it though
Done my phone mystery shopping job already (that's £5 earned) and need to list my last bits and pieces today on ebay - may as well make use of their cheap listing day. The Cancer Research shop people are coming this afternoon to collect the van load that me and neighbours have put together - at least I hope they have a van
Need to put BM on today - fruity loaf I think and I'll slice the remains of the ordinary loaf and freeze it before it goes off. Need to make that chicken/veg pie today. Didn't have it yesterday as I found the sausages needed using so made scrummy sos casserole last night. Also need to get on hands and knees and scrub kitchen floor today, but it may have to wait until kids are in bed. I'm sure I'll find a lot more to entertain me today too - kids, mud and houses always make for an interesting combination, don't they. Just glad I don't have an animal
Ooooh, Queenie - don't know how you'vemanaged without your heating. Mine's been on for ages. I refuse to be cold - it's one 'economy' I don't have to make just yet. However, I found my emersion heater switch was 'busted' yesterday - so that had been on for 2 days  Trip to Focus and a little jiggery-pokery with me trusty screwdriver soon sorted that out (and Mr TM is STILL amazed I can manage to do these things - and right too)
Ok - off for my shower ...... after I've taken a quick peek around here, of course....0 -
Mornin' all! :hello:
Good to know CQ's around even if she doesn't feel like coming out to play at the moment.
Went to see Wallace & Gromit last night and it was great. Loved all the references to other films! It would appeal to most people because it's one of those films that works on different levels for adults and kids.
Woke up really early this morning for some reason and got a load of photo editing done for the opera website I contribute to. Then I got on a nice early train into London which was a bit quieter than my normal one. Stopped off to have a look at the new (Dec) issue of Essentials magazine, to read the feature about our very own ms_london on page 46! (Edit: she says it's page 44 - I must have remembered it wrong!)
Off to the opera tonight on a £5 standing ticket, however the show won't have sold very well so I'm sure to get moved to a seat which would have originally been on sale at £50 or more :money:
Have no plans at all for this Saturday, hurrah, so am coming up with a plan for a mega-cooking day! Was thinking pork curry in slow cooker, with fish pie and perhaps some cakes in the oven. (If you put a fish dish and a sweet dish in the oven together do the flavours taint each other?)
Have a good day!Operation Get in Shape

Morning all :hello::grouphug:
Not posted here for a couple of days but thats because I've been busy. Tuesday flew by and most of the day was taken up with ebay things  and yesterday I went Christmas shoppingMy Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother and Uncle are all finished :j DD is almost done, OH is almost done but I've run out of ideas ATM, IL's are another matter though. I know what we're getting MIL (us kids are clubbing together to get her something as what she wants is expensive), FIL is hard to buy for but I did manage to get him the last torch set in TKMaxx yesterday
Will probably end up buying him a bottle of wine or something, SIL x 2 are more or less done but I want to try and get them something personal as at the moment they have idential gifts  None of the Grandparents are bought for but I do know that my nan will be getting groceries and one grandad will be getting a bottle of Navy Rum its just the other grandad thats a problem. I feel a shopping trip to town on Saturday as I want the Christmas shopping finished before the 19th as we're away that weekend and the following weekend is the start of advent! We may have to whip the credit card out to pay for a couple of things (There £145 left in the budget but £45 of that is for me
), especially for MIL's gift but I'm okay with that as we have just balance transfered over £2k of debt including a storecard onto a 0% card :money:
My plans for today involve sitting here at the computer and listing everything we have left to sell on ebay. It's a 5p listing day and I think 10p an item saving will be a good thing considering how much I've got left to list!!! Also realised why I was being charged 7p design listing fee - I had left the option to position the photograph at the top of the listing on instead of turning it off when we stopped using boarders etc. :wall: Now its turned off and I hope that we should get somewhere. Just checked on My eBay and it says we've earned £103 in the past 60 days :j:money::T_party_ I'm hoping to make that £150+ by the end of the month so it can all go towards paying off another storecard
Right, coffee and Turbolister time. _pale_Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
TM - it's not too hard to go w/out putting the heating on yet - we're definately a "gown's and slippers" family :rotfl: Congrats on sorting out your water heater :T :T :T
Bargain - enjoy your Opera tonight :j
black-saturn - I had no idea it was AA's birthday ... I've never forgotten the Prince Charming "arms" LOL Yup, I think you're right ... a touch of AA will definately spike up the day:T
Washing all hung in the bathroom.
2x meatloaves are ready for the oven (only popped in while the oven was heating up)
