DD back for an hour or two.

I found out that the hair straighteners she has are broken - the look on her face when I presented her with a brand new pair that are suppossed to be as good as GHDs was priceless.

I told her they were an advance Christmas present (Did not mention that they came with a magazine subscription and that I got £55 worth of hair straighteners for free!) :j

Just got soaked going for DD  but she's now settled on the sofa in her nightie under a quilt watching a Rudolph video while I get on with things. Unfortunately her uniform is dirty (more paint!) and since it was her spare one she put on today guess who will be having the gas heaters on in the bedrooms with the windows open again

Oh well, off to finish the ebay listings .. I hope!

    HELLOOOOOO all.

My stupid pc wont access external sites now so im stuck in the wilderness.

Done a full weeks shop today for £16.04, including £1.99 for some cake ingredients and £1.30 on salami and olives. yummers.

My new phone arrived yesterday, its dead sexy, a d600. w000.

Well my feet are killing from breaking in a new pair of shoes so im going to have a hot bath, foot spa and a VERY early night, to read the manual for my phone and my new colin forbes book.

    Hi everyone

I'm a bit late here today, but have been out visiting a friend all day. DS had his piano lesson, and now is staying overnight with his friend in Suffolk, & as they only just moved house to a lovely little village I stayed all day & had lunch and did nothing at all but sit & chat!

On the down side, needed some diesel & small amount of shopping so stopped off at Sainsbury's on the way (cheapest diesel - 3p/litre cheaper than here) so am now definitely goint to sneak into the overdraft zone this month. :-(

    Hi all

Just waiting for OH to come home from work as he's decided that it's his turn to cook tea :j . It's a curry tonight - sauce out of a jar, I'm afraid, but it doesn't have any additives or preservatives or nasties in it. Honest. Oh, no stop press: OH is still stuck at work, so I'll be cooking tea AGAIN. I'm not too fussed, but I was looking forward to putting my feet up and doing not much. Then again, he's so good around the house that I can't complain at all. Let's just say that our bathroom is nice and shiny and clean, yet I haven't cleaned it for 3 years. :D:D:D My friends are all envious of his bathroom cleaning skills!

I was working again today, in the little village school 5 miles away. They want me there again tomorrow (4 days of work this week!!!! :)) and hopefully for the whole of next week too. This is all quite promising, especially with the run up to Christmas. I'm also hoping that if I do spend next week there, then I'll be able to put the head down as a reference on future applications for full time positions and get rid of the awful mentor that I had in one of my college placements.

We're going out for supper tomorrow night to a friend's new house, so I had to pop into our local wine shop to get a couple of bottles (one for new house and one for having us for supper). I'm also going down to London on Saturday to see one of my bridesmaids, so I got her a bottle too. Hopefully they will all feel the need to share the wine! Fingers crossed, anyway! :D

    Morning all.

Cant sleep, have been up since 2am have now had numerous cups of tea but still my brain is widey wakey

have an OS day planned....trying not to spend any money too! need to do an inventory of kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer and a meal plan. am pretty stocked up on most things going into november (month starts on monday 7th for me) so grocery shopping should be a light one this month fingers crossed!

im up to date on the washing but need to do some ironing! lunch will be something made from eggs as chickens have been working hard and i need to play catch up lol!!!

dinner will probably something meat ish from freezer with tattys and veg!

could do with going to the grocers today and pick up some fruit so if the weather is nice i might walk my daughter into town in her buggy!

novembers budget needs a bit of tweaking ( so i can save more!), this evening i have planned to watch Oceans Twelve on DVD (its in my collection but i have yet to watch it).

need to make a loaf today (have stopped making HM biccys at mo as tesco custard creams are hard to beat costwise)

have a great day wherever you are

Snap I couldn't sleep either. Got up at 2.30.

Not much to do today. No work as I have a day off. Eldest DD who has been really poorly is going to her dad's today so I might go to bed after taking the kids to school.

I need more coffee and then I might check the online banking and update the spreadsheet's with yesterday's spending.

Dinner tonight is from the freezer.

    Have a great day everyone

:hello: Morning JD and pink fairy

Sorry to read that you are both having sleepless nights :(:(

JD - good luck with your budget tweaking and hope you find some ways to save a little here and there.

pink fairy - hope you manage to get some sleep later in the day.

Packed lunches done (last night) so the lads only need to grab them from fridge.
SC will be loaded up soon to make a batch of stock.
BM isn't on (yet ;) ) and will be Rosemary and Onion bread

B: Porridge and fresh orange juice
L: HM tuna pasta salad (the packed lunches have HM cake in them)
    D: Meatloaf

Not quite so nippy (or windy!!) this morning so plan to tackle some clearing up in the garden.
Windows need a clean o/side so I shall tackle those too :D:D

    TGIF :j :j

Have a good day to one and all :D:D
