    Hi everyone!
Well I've spent my morning building a tower out of marshmallows and spaghetti.............yes you did read right!! I've started a college course today for my work and it was a practical team building exercise. Hey ho!
Have whizzed around today doing a white wash and hoovering the house. We've got the Beavers dash tonight so it'll be Lidl quiche and baked beans for tea and then I've got an aromatherapy session booked with the voucher my Mum gave me for my birthday. Bliss :j
    Regards

Afternoon all, sorry I'm not on the ball this morning but I've had a meeting with my counsellor this morning and I had to take DH. I cried my eyes out but I think he may understand me a little better now, she's asked us to come back for another session as DH and my ideas on parenting are poles apart and it's been causing rifts between us for a while now.

On the good side, I had to call into the bank to pay a small cheque in and ended up having to see one of their customer service people. They've only given us a full current account instead of the basic account we have been coping with for the last 5 years :D I can't believe it, we tried so hard to upgrade our account earlier in the year when they changed from Solo to Electron and they wouldn't give us one. She's even talking about us coming in and getting a financial review and switching our mortgage to them when our tie in period finishes in August :D

I'm so overwhelmed by all the good things that have happened to me this week, after years of everything going wrong life is finally on the up. Keep your fingers crossed for me ;)

  • Hi everyone,

    Can I join in?

I'm totally rubbish at being domesticated - I tend to think about all the things that I should be doing and then never get anything done because I am so stressed out thinking about having so many things to do!

So I thought that if I post a couple of things I hope to do each day I might be a bit more motivated to actually do them.

Here goes, I shall aim to do two things this afternoon/evening:-

    1) Tidy my daughters bedroom with her and put the stickers on her storage boxes so that she can try the keep her room tidier herself.

    2) Ring my stepmother - I never seem to get round to speaking to the people I love anymore...

I know it's only two little things but I guess if I do a couple of things each day it's better than doing nothing all week!

I'll come back later to let you know if I do them...

    Hi everyone!!

Was up all night coughing my head off again. Finally nodded off to sleep at about 5am and then had to be up at 7am to get the kids off to school.

Then I went to my coffee morning for ex victims of domestic violence and then had a walk around the town for a while.

No idea what I will be doing for dinner tonight. I'll wait and see what the children had for school dinner so that I don't end up cooking the same thing.

What a day! The house looks like somewhere Kate Adie would do a piece to camera from. It is full of sparkies, brickies, plumbers and plumbers muckers we only needed a traffic cop and a red indian and we could have reformed the village People:eek: All trudging in and out all over my carpets (well they would be if they hadn't lifted them all and removed most of me floorboards) leaving doors open and slurping tea the colour of gravy with 4 sugars:p Still they assur eme I will have heat (and hoepfully floors) by tonight:j

After yesterdays washer entrapment fiasco i thought I would box clever this morning and got up early to snatch a few bits of dead animal from the freezer for tonights tea and get a load of washing done before they all arrived.

By the time I poured my second coffee and was enjoying my morning chat with Terry Wogan I was feeling quite smug, that is until oldest MATHLETT shouts "Dad I think you'd better come a look at this" Going to the front window I feasted my eyes on a sight that I can only describe as a Meadow Glade scented mini Tsunami heading down me drive and into the street. Unbeknown to me the plumbers had removed the drain hose from my washer and left it propped against the garage wall and hence 60 gallons of sudsy dirty water was coursing through me garage, down the drive and along the lane.:o

I think I shall use the bag wash tomorrow:D

Cheesy Pineapple Gammon for dinner with leeks in cheese sauce and HM apple pie - so the day isn't a complete disaster.

Ohhh. tonsilitis.....nasty. I had that once. Doctors were convinced it was a sore throat, even though I was in agony. Eventually they realised that it was a bit more than a sore throat.

    Good luck

Math: Yup another giggle moment. These posts are so good at cheering me up. I would say long may they continue...but that might not be too good for your sanity.

    Hi Bunglegirl :hello:

    Welcome to OS :D

You've got exactly the right idea breaking it all down and just picking a couple of things to do a day ... I've just started doing this myself ... and you'll feel so much better if you can achieve the smaller tasks ;)

People have been telling me to do this for ages (thanks guys! :D ) but I always thought I knew better and tried to do too much, then felt miserable when I inevitably failed :o

I've managed to to do the washing up today :T ... but the cooker and floor can wait until tomorrow/next week/month ;) ... and I've picked something easy to make for tea which DS can help me with if necessary, and that's it for today :D

Let us know how you get on with your tasks :)

Moggins, I'm so pleased to hear things are on the up for you hun, you deserve it *hugs* ... fingers crossed this is just the start of lots more nice things to come your way :T

Hope everyone who's feeling ill starts to feel better soon *hugs* :)

Oh Ancasta, you poor thing :( ... good luck at the hospital *hugs*
