re the bed, that sounds like my sort of trick.
Been at work most of the day (i leave the house ay 7.30 and get back at 6.30) and have spent this evening, well, on here actually! I didn't realise where all the time had gone.
Had CQ's chicken Korma for tea - Delish, highly recommended, and have got out a hm shepherds pie for tomorrow nights tea. Gives me something to look forward to..
Anyway, off to bed because I've been tired all day. Its what MSE does to you, you know.. :rolleyes:Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Must remember to make the bed - I'm sure I'm not the only one to have gone to bed in the past only to find a stripped bed?! Faffing about at 11pm putting duvets in covers is not my idea of fun!
Hee hee! Just got in tonight & had to go straight upstairs & make bed!0 -
Hope noone minds me starting this today.
Morning all hope everyone is well and happy today.
Todays plan here in blustery Aberdeen is a quick cleanup already scrubbed out my fridge this morning there was a gross smell in there I used an antibacterial spray is that ok?(ashamed to say I have never cleaned a fridge before!!!)

Baked potato and beans for tea.
Have a good day everyone xxxxxx0 -
Morning
Good saving on the mobile sparklewing! I did the same after reading the Moneysaving Diet - OH and I both changed to pay as you go (after both having contracts and never using up the minutes!) Have saved an absolute fortune.
Been awake since 5am - my body clock is programmed to get up early to look after the babies - even though they are 18 and 20 now! I've been copying down the pie filling ideas from another thread. I see a certain amount of experimenting taking place this weekend
Brrr it's cold this morning. Sat here huddled in my dressing gown and quilt. Just waiting for the house to heat up sufficiently to face the bathroom.
Have a lovely OS dayEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
It's a bit chilly here this morning too and I finally resorted to putting the heating on last night! Just starting to get light here and looks rather damp and grey out there at the moment.
Well, yesterday's posts gave me such a boost ... thankyou everyone :A ... and I'm feeling more positive this morning, which is a good thing
Had a lovely evening with DS snuggled on the sofa under a duvet! We had chinese and watched a film and some tv. Forget the name of the film (crap memory!) but it was the new one with Jim Carrey ... not my favourite actor but the film was good and made me laugh
Today my only plan is to try and get the washing up done and tidy the kitchen, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I only manage half of it
I'll have a rummage through the freezer to see what cooked meals are left in there for dinner, or it may be beans on toast yet
Hope everyone else has a good start to the day, and those of you heading off to work make sure you wrap up warm and drive carefully this morning!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

The people came last night about our Westie and they are having him!! Going to collect him saturday at 10am. He is going to be living on a farm with horses/animals and will be her 80yr mum whos having him. She came last night and gave us a big kiss and cuddle-bought treats for him too, so he loved it. I tried not too but got quite emotional. Although he is my OH's dog, he keeps me company through the night when im not well and he's my buddy/mate. I do know that he will have a better quality of life, but still doesnt make me feel any better. They loved him though, but he is a gorgeous looking westie-i am biast thoughThey will email us regularly and can go to the farm whenever we want...i am so happy but so sad at the same time.
Anyways, today have lady coming from SS to make sure Im OK and to see if im doing my direct payments ok with keeping receipts etc. Also, found out yesterday that the stairlift will be fittedin a few weeks. Its taking so long coz it has had to be made especially-we have funny stairs  Also, the bathroom has been ok'd-just awaiting a surveyor to tell us what we can and cant have and this should take about 3 months to sort out. I am pleased as it will give me some independance back
Breakfast is cereal. Lunch sarnies/toasted. Dinner chicken pie/mash/veg.
Will catch up later.

awww PennyP, I'm sure your little westie will be really happy. I can so understand how sad you are. We had to leaver our cat in the middle east, he wouldn't have survived quarentine.
Today I need to go to Farm Foods & Lidls. They are next door to each other & there is also a Matalan there as well, so I might be tempted !
Need to do washing, also will put the DW on when its full. DD got a friend coming after school. I'm not sure if to tody her bedroom before or after he visits!!!

 Hello everyone from a grey and freezing, breezy suffolk,Brrrrrrrr.
I haven't got a clue what to do today, the weather isn't inspiriing me at all, even though the washing needs starting, and I could do with doing some baking before the weekend.
I have read with enthusiasm, 'the why beat yourself up' thread, and will take the advice from there on board today I think.:D
So I may just play with the playdough and lego and have another:coffee: and come back later  :rotfl:0 -
Morning you lot!
PP, great news about the stairlift and sorry about the westie, but you can have a nice OS day visiting it at the farm!
Sparklewing, my fridge looks like a bomb has hit it, i hate cleaning it out as i have to take everything out then put it all back in and im lazy
Couldn’t tear my poor little head away from the pillow this morning! Going to grab some toast from the canteen in a minute to wake me up. I've got my fingers strapped up today as I have broke my middle finger on my right hand so my typing is a bit crock. Had to fend of a very scary and of zealous admirer ( an ex colleague of OH) and he wouldn’t take no for an answer so he got a right hook, an upper cut and a kick to the nads and he was still trying to cop a feel. Grrr I hate him.
Had delish pineapple upside down cake (I finally remembered the eggs) with custard lastnight and it was great! Very impressed. Didn’t rise as much as I wanted too but it was a very large diameter cake so it wasn’t too bad.
Going to do a quick 5 min blitz when I get home while tea is cooking. Its pasta bake for tea tonight with hm garlic bread, and OH can have the last slice of cake.
I was trying to convince him to have a baby lastnight when he was half asleep and he said yes I could have one "as long as you get it with nectar points at asda or from your paypal"…… Lord knows .Made me giggle so much I fell out of bed and took the duvet with me which woke him up fully and he started swearing at me. LMAO!
Will post back later once ive given my finger a rest.

Hello all
Well, it's cold and windy here, but at least the rain has abated for a while. According to the forecast it will be back with a vengeance later
Forgot to put the BM on last night, so DS1 had to have a couple of slices of shop bought (I keep a spare loaf in the freezer ) So, must do that soon. I'm going to make meatballs in tommy sauce for tea, in the SC, so that will be done this morning too. DS2 keeps asking for meatballs - he is sooo fussy at the moment. Hopefully he'll eat the HM ones as he loves those shop-bought swedish type, but they are full of salt.
Made HM nuggets last night - did what kiwichick did and blitzed with apple and onion. Didn't go down as well as my normal HM ones, but hey ho - got to try these things. Trouble was, the 13yo I look after was really ill last night  Luckily none of the rest of us were, so can't have been my food
Must dust my bedroom (only cos I can nearly write my name in it - it gets soooo dusty so quickly, but I think it's because we have a down duvet which gets shaken everyday and also I sort and iron all the laundry in there - so lots of fibres. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)
Need to vac throughout today as hasn't been done for a couple of days. Also, must go to Lidl as they have ladies snow boots for about £5 from today. If it's going to be a tough winter, must keep my tootsies warm. I love moon boots anywayGot the boys some thermal boots the other week and you can't go wrong for £5.
OK, off for a shower then I'll see what takes my fancy (probably lego with DS2)
