Morning all :grouphug:
I had a busy day yesterday. I had a BIG sort out in DD's cupboard/wardrobe and actually made enough vertical space for me to get one of those hanging shelf things to put her bedding in. In theory, when I've got one of those, and she gets her new bed (a cabinbed or midsleeper after Christmas) I should be able to get rid of her bookcase AND her chest of drawers which should, also in theory, give her more room for her toysAlso sorted out all the Christmas Pressies and bagged them up per person. Almost finished all the shopping now. Might go to Debenhams when we're next at IL's and see if I can get anything there for the people I've got left to buy for, as it would also use up the Debenhams Gift cards we've been given over the years  I also managed to get all the washing done and some of the more delicate items (like my new suit jacket
:D ) on hangers in the bedroom (with the window locked open) to dry. Fell asleep in the chair about 7.30 last night but OH woke me up. I then moved onto the settee as I was too hot sitting next to the fire and fell asleep on there as well so gave up at 10pm and went to bed :rotfl:
So far this morning I have done 1 load of washing and taken everything that needed to be dried and could be tumbledried (read: towels & 2x bedding & some clothes) to the laundrette - cost me about £3 but its DONE! Filled up the sink when I got in with water to wash the dishes but put too much hot in so I've left it to cool while I'm on here to save pouring it away. Sitting in my PJs (got wet on the way back from the laundrette) so I had better get dishes done and dresssed before Johanne and possible mum turn up  Could really do with cleaning the kitchen but we'll see. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Morning all,
I am not having a very good few days. I am supposed to be at work today but hava had a migrain for the last two days and my CFS has kicked in again (i've been well for a little while so it was due back soon) and has made the muscles in my legs so sore that walking is difficult and getting up and down stairs is awful!
I have had to make a list for OH of things to do it town, my No7 voucher runs out today so i'm sending him in to get some face wipes (I can't waste that voucher), also need a few top up items for the kitchen, the cupboards are looking very empty but I refuse to fill them up as I am sure we have enough food to last, just need some jam, cheese and horlicks!
I may attempt a little ironing later if I feel up to it, I need to iron the ebay stuff so I can photograph them, I am sure people won't want to buy my creased up clothes!
Oh and I need to order The Money Diet from Amazon for me and sis, i'll do that now!
I hope everyone else is having a good day, enjoy yourselfs!0 -
At work today - marking students attempts at e-commerce websites. I'm so boored!!!!

Had another bad night of coughing my head off again last night. It's now been 10 days since this started and I had any decent sleep. I don't know how much more I can handle. My throat is really really sore too.
I've treated myself today because I feel so ill and I have ordered the new Civilisation IV game off ebay. I've always loved that game and the new version is out :j And I also pre-ordered Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from WH Smiths for the kids (only £14.99).
Hopefully I will feel much better tomorrow but I won't hold my breath.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
OH wants me to get him some bonjela as he has poorly gums and cheek (serves him right for chewing on it but im buttering him up for a free taxi service @ weekend) as he is so "poorly" i said i would make him a pineapple upside down cake with custard.
Im such a good girlfriend
Must nip to the craft dept. of my local dept. store so i can buy some foam to finish a customers hair piece. Its looking boooootiful0 -
Hey
Well still feeling like Poo, so is DD. Dont know what will happen with her 11+ tomorrow if shes still rough but she has a nasty cough and is going to interupt the other kids
Today have managed with OH's help to do 1 washload and dried on line, DW emptied, in BM made pizza dough for 3 smallish pizzas (lunches for OH) and has been washed and put away, in SC ATM is a smallish lovely piece of unsmoked gammon which we bought from Aldis last week (£2.50 i think!?) and have cooked it in water and apple juice-have never done this before but smells and tastes delish. Should be enough for tea tonight with mash and cabbage and maybe a couple of rounds of sarnies tomorrowHave tasted it and is gorgeous so another product to add too the Aldi must have list (along with their cheap baked beans). I should be able to get to an Aldi every 3-4 weeks so will stock up on the items for that period-I have been very impressed with the quality so far and the costing is excellent! Also loved their potato salad
OH has been hard at work today stripping (paint..lol) and is now hovering his mess as he has a dentist appointment at 3pm, coz his tooth and feeling has broken-think it may be pulled out.....hopefully he wont be able to eat later so I can have more of the gammon :rotfl:
I am pleased I have managed to do a few bits today and dont feel like a total slob..lol. Have watched abit of TV too
Found a big pot of Vicks equivalent that I bought in the states last year and has worked a treat-looks like i have slugs coming out me nose now though  but at least its clearing :j
Am just about to do my last balance transfer to my 0% credit card and only have 6 more payments till I am totally debt free :T 18 months ago we had 2 good FT wages coming in and I was wasting soooo much money and paying minimum payments on credit cards and now we are living only on benefits and Im paying a good wack each month...funny init!!
Hope everyone is feeling better later and hugs to all who need one-me included.

Hi All,
Late posting for me, been cleaning this am as I had another EA coming to do some internal shots of the house.Hopefully we will have renewed interest once the ads are in the paper. So housework ALL done now,am on my 5th coffee though as am knackered-cleaning is NOT my thing.
Going to doa big batch of everday biscuits this arvo and freeze some. Will be my first go at freezing HM biccies so wish me luck. Might add some orange zest to give em a bit of zing.
DH due home soonish, hes been in Solihull for work today butmeeting over now and hes on his way home. Am going to treat myself to a long, hot soak in the tub when he gets here.
Dineer for kids if HM pizza, HM curry for DH and myself. Will use up the last of the frozen naans and next time will have a go myself, that HAS GOT to be cheaper than shop bought!
Note for PP and BLACK-SATURN, it sounds like we all have the same nasty bug. Something that I started doing last night and makes me feel MUCH better is gargling warm salty water. I also empty a paracetamol tab into it and give it all a big stir around. About half a cup full does 5 good gargles, yes it does taste foul but the salt kills off the germs apparently and the paracetamol is slightly anesthetic. Mine throat feels SO much better today, I'vedone it 3 times in all now. JUST DONT SWALLOW :rotfl:
Right, off to read for a bit as baby is in bed and other two are sitting at the table colouring in quite happily
Have a good day all,
