I did a few shifts on Radio 2 and Janice Long would come out with things completely unrelated to anything that anyone had said, ever - she's great though :)

    Morning all:hello: :hello:

Up around 6am today - DS2 actually slept until 6.30am!!! He hasn't done this for weeks!!!!!

OH has had to leave early as he's got to take my dad to a hospital appt on his way to work - found out yesterday that dad has a detached retina, so he's seeing the consultant at 8am!! See, the NHS can give speedy service!

Neither kids are dressed/washed yet, but as I was up & showered so early, I thought I'd come on here for a bit first!

Dinner tonight is cheesy pasta (for kids) & lasagne/salad for us.

Got to go to work today (only until 2pm though;) ) then got GP appt before picking up kids from school/nursery.

Hope everyone has a good day & that the bug everyone seems to have gets better quickly!!

    Good morning!
Housework is the order of the day today.
The house is such a mess. I was out all day Thurs & Fri, out to lunch with some friends Sat, out at Church & lunch with more friends on Sunday, sitting around waiting for shoeboxes for 4 hours yesterday (none arrived! - but it was the first day so wasn't surprised) so housework has suffered.
I think my first job is to dust the conservatory blinds: they are wooden venetian blinds & I read somewhere on this forum that they are best cleaned with an old sports sock used rather like a blind-slat-eating glove puppet. It works, I started to have a go Saturday morning, but didn't have time to finish. So thank you to whoever suggested that!

Finally made it to post on this thread before going out to work - really need to get off it now though.

Weather's not too bad here atm but am doing to drive up (first time in 2 weeks) and take the empty toner cartridges with me in the boot so I can post them at lunchtime. Got an asthma nurse appt late this afternoon then need to go to boots to spend my vouchers as today's the last day - walked around town with them on Sunday in my hug

Finished my job application last night - one of these awful no way of typing it ones  can't believe how hard I found it to write, and OH did not a lot so flat has dirty smelly plates etc and no more clean washing - especially as didn't get to bed until gone 1am not impressed  he had plenty of time to do it. Is currently in bed and I think will walk to work later on his own (perhaps he'll do the dishes first ;))

Must go - really want to spend more time catching on here - always tonight

Have a good day everyone :)

  • Morning all

Weather isnt looking too promising is it? The sky is a kind of yellow colour right now and the wind is back again - yuk .

Anyway im having toast for breakfast this morning , will be munching on that while putting the chicken in the SC for tonight.

Have several ebay and amazon parcels to post today. my amazon sales had almost stopped until i took them off line for few days last week - when i put them back up they went mad!! so if yours are at a standstill try that and perhaps you will have the same luck.

Also have to go to the Dr today - need booster injections for all the innocculations i have to have for work - polio and tetanus, typhoid, meningitis, hepatitis A and hepatitis b. wont be getting them all today but i expect to have at least two. yuk and double yuk.

Hope everyone who has that nasty lurgy is feeling a little bit better today.

    happy tuesday hugs to all

Today I must venture under the stairs and clear it out, it's getting to the point where you can hardly get the door shut! :o Got some lamb to stick in the SC with veg for dinner tonight, but other than that just general pottering about to do.

  • OOOO My other half works for the BBC too. Aren't well all well connected eh Dan and scuzz?
I would love to get into working at our local radio stations, no aspirations of being on air though, I have a self inflicted lisp im quite conscious of. Damn tongue piercing. lol

We're having chicken supreme for tea tonight with oven chips as a treat for OH as Tuesday was his usual chippy night but I put a stop to that like. We've re-allocated the takeaway night to a Friday so it feels like more of a weekend treat. I think my weekly breakdown of shopping should be ok and I think I will be WELL under the first months budget but I will have to gage how much we spend on our takeaways, I imagine it wont be anymore than £20 a week, to include meals for 2 (with leftovers I hope) and wine/beer or some nibble bits. Once I have maybe 2 months of totals im going to see where I can shave off the £££.

Horrid gross weather here so I haven't done any washing as it takes forever to dry inside, I could at least get it out at the weekend when I can keep my eye on it. I have been offered an evening/part time job freelancing as a make up artist which im VERY made up about doing work for websites but it doesn’t start till the mid of dec so im very excited. I have also been offered a freelancing job working from home as a text op, answering peoples texts from those "chat" services. Nothing kinky I assure you. But its turning the time I sit on the net and do not much, into something I could get paid for. All for being chatty. Not bad in my opinion.

Im absolutely starvin' marvin' today so im going to treat myself to a nice sausage butty so my tummy doesn’t grumble.

Will post back later once ive munched and supped. I neeeeeed coffee :D
