Morning everyone,
I haven't posted here for a while 'cos being off sick for the last 4 months my days really are not what you would call exciting!
Yesterday was a bit of an ordeal, had a hospital appointment re getting one of my baby teeth removed(I know still got baby teeth at 24!). I'm agoraphobic(though getting better due to my psychiatrist) so spent all Sunday and all yesterday morning having panic attacks and crying about going to the hospital, no sleep at all sunday night.
Dad came and picked me up and I cried all the way there but once I was inside I was ok. Got my xray and saw my consultant and got an appointment for 2 weeks time for it to be extracted. _pale_
I asked about getting put to sleep cos it is impacted so they can either put me to sleep or inject me with a local and he said I wouldnt get put to sleep cos I am a smoker and the anasthetic would make me feel rubbish. I pointed out that I suffer really badly from panic attacks and that I thought being put to sleep would be easier and I didn't mind feeling rubbish but it was a no-no. To be honest he wasn't very helpful or sympathetic at all. :wall:
Anyway been up since 2am cos fell asleep at 7 last night so bathroom is scrubbed and dried washing put away. :A Need to scrub kitchen and do a hoover and dust and wash some bedding.
Also need to phone doctor cos my medication for anxiety runs out on friday phoned yesterday for an appointment and there is not a free appointment until NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!!! Good job I am not ill with a virus or anything! A week and a half is ridiculous and they don't even do a dropin.
Anyhoo thats enough of me blabbering on :silenced: just want to say although I don't post much I love reading what everyone else has been up to and follow this thread avidly. :grouphug:0 -
Morning everyone
My you are early birds today! Sparklewing - well done with the hospital appointment, I know it wasn't easy but it's over and done with now and one less worry. As for the doctor, do you think they'll do you a mini repeat prescription to tide you over until the doctor's appointment date?
Queenie, your meals sound wonderful today ... yummy!
Sweet pea, I wish I were as organised as you. I have some presents I have bought through the year, but not nearly enough.
Welshcake - glad you had a lovely holiday!
Yesterday morning I got up early and made muffins to take to work as a treat and surprise for everyone. They went down well. This morning I'm making another batch for OH to take to work too. He told them all what I had done and they were drooling. Tonight it is one of the Shepherd's Pie I made and froze last weekend. This is a test run to see how well it works.
Have a lovely OS day!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

I have a small gammon joint which I bought from Aldis last week £2.49 and will bung this in the SC in abit-should do a meal for the 3 of us and a couple of sarnies.
OH has promised he will do some more decorating as he has till next friday to do it all before the carpet is fitted
DD still not well, so another day off again for her  she has her 1st 11+ tomorrow and hope shes ok-what do I do if shes still ill
Have my folks down on saturday for the day  they dont come up very often and are taking them to Makros which we normally do-so hopefully they will have some good offers as Im running low on washing powder, fabric conditioner, kitchen paper towels and loo rolls.

What can I cook the gammon in? Dont have any beer etc. Do have some apple juice/stock cubes etc

'Morning everyone - have never posted in this board before but just wanted to say hello and how surprising it is that so many people are up and about at this time of the morning!
I'm on an early shift like Scuzz - at least it wasn't raining today, although 5:30am starts at this time of year still aren't the best..! Scuzz are you a tv or radio BJ, if you don't mind me asking? You must be planning an afternoon nap if you're off to the theatre later?!

Hi Dan
Glad I'm not the only one who has to work silly hours. I'm a radio BJ for my sins!! Would love a nap later, but going by the size of a story that's breaking here (no I can't talk about it!!) I'm not going to get away till nearly 4pm. But here's hoping!!
What do you do that requires being at work when the world should be in bed?Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Hello!
Ah right you must be in ILR with shifts that long..?! I'm a director on the BBC tv opts for Wales during Breakfast but used to work in local radio ... am just chatting to my mate who's reading the news on Radio 2 this morning - your competition..!
I guess you're busy for the next 10 minutes ... is it one of those stations where a cheesy DJ asks you silly questions after the bulletin?!

I did a few shifts on Radio 2 and Janice Long would come out with things completely unrelated to anything that anyone had said, ever - she's great though
Bored? Underpaid? Come to the BBC :j http://jobs.bbc.co.uk/jobportal/search/Results.aspx?Keyword=&VacancyNo=-1&RegionId=-1&JobCategoryId=3&PageNumber=0&IsNewOnly=false
Don't think we're looking for anyone here at the mo though unless you speak Welsh..!.0 -
