Hello OS friends  and Happy Birthday, Scuzz.

Well, today I've been to my mum's and done her cleaning/errands and have just returned home with a very tired DS2. I think he's sickening for something or still teething (last back teeth STILL aren't properly through) as he's pale with black rings under his eyes and so lethargic.

I'm going to make my lunch in a moment then I've promised DS2 we'll do some baking. Still got 20 bananas to use up :D What I don't use today will have to be frozen tonight. I'm going to make lots of assorted banana cakes and freeze them. May even make some mince pies or other goodies too. Will put a bol sauce on to cook too and must do garlic bread while the oven is on. Will see what else needs using up or I can make today as I've lots of meat inthe fridge that needs to go into the freezer today too.

One last load of washing to go in today, and I only made a smallish dent in the ironing pile last night too. Bathrooms need cleaning and as always, as general tidy up and vac required. I'll see if I can get DS2 out on his scooter for some fresh air while the sun is shining.

Good news on the ebay front last night. Sold my pram for a good price, although I am delivering it to her (100 mile round trip) but will do it next weekend so can incorporate a shopping trip in there somewhere. :D She may also want one of my other items, but she'll have to offer me more than she has for me to take it off ebay. We'll see.

OK, need to get on. Hope everyone has a good a day as they can and hugs to those feeling sick or down (or just overwhelmed by boxes :D)

Welcome, Sarah! I've only posted once on here so far but it's such a great site, especially O/S, everyone is so helpful and supportive and I've learnt loads of useful tips already. So will you! Hopefully I'll be able to help other people sometimes too.

While I'm on here - thanks to everyone for all the inspiration. You're all stars! :T

Hello Sarah, nice to see you here,

make sure you have a good browsw through all the chat themes, you'll never know who you can offer valuable advice to, ot just have a giggle with.

I wasn't brought up in foster care, but I still rob Peter to pay Paul, oh for the days when banks didn't throw credit at you and make it sound so grand. But I digress.

Are you ensuring you are receiving all the benefits you are entitled to? I believe there is extra help available for families with ADHD/aspergers.

Also, if you need help budgeting, put your income and outgoings in maybe , debt free wannabe, and the clever souls who lurk in there will tell you what's best to do. I'd love to advise you, but as I'm totally crap at it myself, it'd be best if I didn't.

In the meantime welcome to you Vast Sarah, and I don't believe for a moment that you are - vast that is.

Welcome also to Kiwi, who I've only just spotted at the top of the page.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

    Hi everyone
Am working later today so won't get much OS done. Will be making mixed egg and vegetable bake for tea tonight. My lovely Dad has come round to help me with the rollering on the top part of my hall walls as I don't like heights so can't get on a ladder to do it! Tonight I'm going to watch Much Ado about Nothing whilst munching my pretzels which I have dipped in white chocolate. Yummy!
Speak soon [back to work now!!]

    Morning all!

My slow cooker's finally arrived! :j It's only a small one (1.5 litre) but is just the right size for me. I can't wait to get it home and fill it up with goodies for tomorrow evening. Mind you, I'll have to decide what to cook first - that's going to be tough! There are so many yummy slow cooker recipes on this site that I don't know where to start. Perhaps I should start a poll to see which recipe gets the most votes :D

This evening's going to be fairly domestic as I didn't do any housework over the weekend. I've also got to do the weekly supermarket shop. Ho hum. Guess I can't be out having fun every night :(

Made chicken curry in slow cooker overnight so it just needs warming up. Washing is on line and dishes have been done.
Spent the morning shopping with DD and am spending some time on here while DH paints the hall.

If my little darlings turn their noses up at curry then I will do a quick pasta dish (HM of course).

Ended up spending a fortune on cold remedies and a thing for freezing verrucas - then bought a new mop - well a vileda thingy as it came with a free refill and my sponge mop is falling apart. Felt a right fool carrying it on the bus!

Big hug to everyone feeling ill and welcome to Sarah and any others who are "lurking".

Well, that's the washing in WM, the drying in TD, the 'dishy' doing it's thing, the bol sauce simmering, 2 banana and walnut loaves ready to go in oven when I make the garlic bread (which will be after school run). Just having a cuppa before tidying DS2's zoo off living room floor (6 kids and lots of teeny tiny plastic animals aren't great company in my books :))

Just remembered - I had a disaster the other day - well, Mr TM did. I got a call from the kitchen to say the handle has broken off my MR slow cooker  I must email them today to get a replacement - it's not a year old yet. Hopefully it'll be Ok, as I know a lot of you on here have had pleasant CS experiences with MR.
  • Hey

SIL has been and done all me jobs I asked including all the ironing for the week that needed doing-shes a star! Dont know what Id do without her

Dinner was going to be left over chicken muck (soup) but OH left it out overnight and dont want to risk it-abit annoyed as that would of done another meal and couple of rounds of sarnies  Will probably have chops for tea and DD wants chicken dippers as a treat as shes poorly  OH not done anything today apart from mess about on his computer-so not happy with him..lol. Had a call from the carpet people today and confirmed fitting will be next friday-so OH will need to do everything by then, so at least he has something to aim towards now and it HAS to be done :D Another load has been washed and dried and DW emptied.
