hello everyone, :hello:
I didn't get a chance to post on here last week, as OH had a week of work and decided to do something about the bathroom. We moved here about 18 months ago and it badly needed doing, but we didn't have a great deal of money to spend. We kept the existing suite and the white basic tiles, and carried the tiling all around the room. Added some coving, an new light fitting and blind and painted the walls and ceiling white. Et voila, we now have a clean fresh and modern looking bathroom, for the toatal cost of £200.00. It looks as though we haave spent loads, and I'm really pleased with our efforts. I now need a Queenie style pamper box, so I can lose myself in there for a couple of hours:D
Mind you the rest of the house now looks as though it could do with a sort out, but it will have to wait .
I need to loads of housework, the washing is nearly dried and make a bolognese for tonight and a cottage pie for tomorrow. I have no cakes or biccies made as I had no time last week, so I shall also bake a cake today.
(((((((hugs to all in need)))))))))))

Evening all
,
Just finished tea and thought I'd come on now before I make DH's lunch. Been at work this morning. Got home around 1pm and had some lunch, then vacumed & washed the floors. I got home just in time, rescued all the clothes off the line and down she came. :jI was going to go shopping tonight but I've run out of steam, will do it tomorrow.
Made some biscuits & slice yesterday. Not that you'd notice. I have a household of oink oinks here, me included.:p Hope you all have a nice day, and :grouphug:to all those who need them.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all - hugs to all :grouphug:
I've got a washing day today AGAIN!!! OKay so (at least) 3 loads will be bedding and towels but I've had to wash coats yesterday as we got so muddy at the firework display on Satuday night. Already done one load, another one is in and I'm going to make a start on the pile of dishes that have materialised next to the sink even though I washed them ALL on Friday except for 2 pans
Finished some Xmas shopping on Saturday but I still have more to do. Also discovered that I have just over £10 on my Asda cardGuess I will be buying a new Christmas Tree this year after all :shhh:
Right, off to check bank balances, update money and then set too on the dishes since everything else is done :jCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Hi All, :hello:
Just came on here for some motivation! :j
Hope everyone who is ill feels better soon.
Jo I know what you mean about customers who shout at you, have very similar experiences myself at work. Sometimes you have days when it gets to you more than others depending on your mood/time of month. Keep your pecker up! I find its good to be really really polite. The ruder they are the politer I get. It really winds people up!But afterwards when they have calmed down they feel awful and I usually get apologies, even had thank you cards!
Have LOADS to do today after yesterdays marathon ebay session. Lots of cleaning, washing, tumbling, tidying up etc, also need to bung a few things in the loft, tidy up ebay pile and sort out all my Xmas pressies so I can see whats left to get.
Later I need to pop to shop for a card and some milk and do some ironing. Poor OH had no jeans/shirts this morning and actually had to iron them himself! He very helpfully left me the ironing board up in case I feel like doing a bit. (Have put it away!)

Morning all :hello:
Well, tomorrow is another week (or something). Having spent double my budget last week I am going to try to be good this week.
I don't need to do much grocery shopping - well, I will need some washing powder (sorry, not got round to experimenting with gloop yet!), frozen peas (to go with everything, especially the last of my HM fish pie from Saturday) and single cream (to make a sauce with the last of the smoked salmon from the freezer). But that little lot should all come in at under £5, or maybe a little more if I get washing powder on special offer and stock up. I am however DETERMINED to come in on budget this week, and with another busy social week lined up, a low spend on groceries is the way to achieve this.
Had quite a productive weekend I suppose.
Things I struck off the to do list
Cooking for the freezer, getting shoes repaired, taking the dry cleaning in, checking out the non-food sale at Lidl, writing my latest article for the opera website I contribute to, ordering The Money Diet, ordering my mum's Christmas present (a webcam), doing (most of) the laundry, giving cheque to housemate for the bills.
Things I failed to strike off the to do list
Throwing out empty bottles (bagged them all up but forgot to take them to the bottle bank!), ordering shelving unit (to enable me to stop living amongst crates), putting away summer clothes, ironing, washing bedding, cleaning mould off the window frames.
Anyway, freezer looks lovely and tidy with its neat little stacks of portion-sized boxesand tonight I shall be filling the few remaining gaps with boxes of chicken and bacon risotto.
moggins - don't worry, you're doing better than me - i've been unable to move for boxes since MARCH  when I decided I had better things to do with £120 a month than rent a storage unit. And my summer clothes are still in a big pile on the table in my bedroom waiting to be put away.
GIRLPOWER - if you haven't done so already, please get your back seen to as it could cause you serious problems down the line. Without wishing to alarm you, I have a friend who fractured her coccyx at the age of 15, then after 10 years of no trouble it flared up again and she had almost a year off work with it.
See y'all later!Operation Get in Shape

Morning lovelies :j
I'm back into the swing of OS a lot more after my sabbatical trip away to the clutches of frivolity.
Today I am going to make a full shopping list including lost of yummy store cupboard goodies, dig out the slowcooker from under the dust of abandonment on top of it! I am going to make lots more stews and casseroles for me and OH as he likes "english" food. Going to have a proper sort through the cupboards when I get in tonight to see if I can re-arrange them to get more food in, instead of buying "convenient" foods as we don’t have room, when I say convenient I mean jars of pasta sauce for example instead of using the tins of toms etc. Although that is rare.
I have loads of boots vouchers to redeem so im going to do an "online shop" to see what it is that I want to get people then head off into the bifg boots store on my lunch break tomorrow to go and buy only what I said I would. Im also only going to draw out enough cash to buy them. And maybe a meal deal for myself
I think im going to have to make doctors AND dentist appointments for sometime this week. I have to get some craft foam and some plastic tubing to make a custom hair piece for a girl wanting a "cyber futuristic" look, and Im quite into the look myself so I should really enjoy this and it is bound to open some new doors for me, custom wise (I hope). I will post some pictures once ive finished… my fingers are itching to get home and make it. Eeeeeh.
Have decided to make myself a little shopping challenge till OH gets paid (last day of month) so we have £250 to make do for food and takeaways. Instead of us going clubbing every weekend or pubbing it (we're only 22 so still in our partying prime) we will have a take away on a Friday night, so instead of spending about £70-80 on a night out, were spending less than £20 for a take away for 2 and some wine/lager, which , I know we could do without, its always nice to have a treat, especially in the run up to christmas when we're spending money on everyone else but us.
Ill keep you all posted with the shopping targets once ive drawn up my big storecupboar shop.
Will check back later as my net access at work has finally been sorted. Wooo

I'm back after a much need week off from work. Had flu and pnuemonia jabs last week, which meant I couldn't move my arm for three days straight and I was in so much pain
It's my birthday today - everyone at work forgot. Not that i care really.
Hoping I might be able to find a new job soon, as I've had enough of being put down all the time.
