Afternoon all
Feeling very down today as i don't feel well and i'm getting fed up of it happening all the time. (i have Fibromyalgia) Also just found out that a friend of mine is pregnant again and another has got engaged so i'm feeling a little bit envious - not that i want to get engaged or have another baby (yet!) but it just seems like everyone else's life is moving forward and i'm stuck in a rut
Sorry, just ignore me, i'm feeling sorry for myself today
Anyway, breakfast was porridge for me, crumpets for DD, lunch was leftover pasta & sauce from last night and tea is fish fingers, mash and peas for DD and whatever i can find in the freezer for me later as its DD's dance class tonight so we eat at different times. Went to Asda yesterday and only spent £10.84 so that means i have £14 to put towards my night out on saturday, along with the money i have already saved - can't wait!
Take care all

Thanks for the advice - I would have loved to go back to bed but DH has now decided to do the skirting boards in the hall and I cant get up the stairs!!!!!
Spending my time on here and trying to remove a nastie called "ISearchTech.YSB. " from the computer and that is not working either.
Had HM cauliflower cheese for lunch which we both enjoyed and just as DH was about to suggest that DD was exaggerating her illness - she was violently and noisily sick!
Just grateful I managed to be selfish and get in the shower earlier as I am fed up with being last in the queue all the time Lol
Slow cooker meal smells good but as it is competing with the smell of the varnish - it is a bit strange."This site is addictive!"

I give up. I'm going home. I've spent the last hour marking up a plagiarism case where the student haad directly copied code from amazon & left in the proprietory bits that say it is theirs. Are they really that dumb or do they think I am?
Comfort food tonight - probably sausage, lots of buttery mash, & baked beans. Working from home tomorrow & i'm not allowed to carry marking home on the tube (yay!) so will get some real work done, oodles of house-stuff & trip to the gym steam room to sort out the head cold.Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!0 -
Hi all
Well, I'm blimmin exhausted. There must have been something in the air today because the children in my class were just TERRIBLE. Luckily, other teachers commented that their brats/class/children were just as bad. It feels like I've taught 2 days in 1, I'm that bad. I was very naughty though and popped into town for a large cappucino and blueberry muffin as a treat. Feel really guilty nowOn the plus side, I did get essentials and read that bit in there about ms_london!
What a fantastic story!
I've had problems trying to order my Lakeland stuff online, so I'm now trying to get through by 'phone, but they seem to be permanently engaged! Is it something that I'm doing wrong?
I made sure that I spent my £5 Boots voucher! I got a lovely nail varnish - sort of a goldy pearlescent colour for the bargain price of £1 (once they'd taken the £5 off!). I was dead chuffed as I'd also seen it in London for £6.50 at the weekend.
Supper tonight is pizza that is currently in the freezer. I'll bung it in the oven when OH phones to say that he's on the motorway - hands free of course.

I've been quite busy today.
First the postman brought my blackcurrant bush so I had to go out and dig a hole, fill it with compost and plant the bush. Then I knitted the front of the new jumper I am knitting (by machine) out of the wool I unravelled from my old Jumper.
We went to the library this afternoon and then the bookshop for DD's phsycology book, then a quick look in the charity shops on the way home and found a badge maker(unused) for 99p(might make some for the crackers).
We had sausage pizza for tea using some sliced garlic sausage that was reduced in Asda.
DS has a trip to the Globe theatre tomorrow with school(lucky thing).DD went to a workshop there a few years ago and loved it,so he'll probably have a good time.0 -
Hello everyone
Well, this is the second time I've tried to post on this thread - tried at luchtime but this site went belly-up as I clicked 'post' so I went off in a huff and did some jobs
So, today I did a mystery shopping job, which happened to be near Alsis and Lidls so did both of them too - spent around £70 but that includes lots of Xmas choccies and some booze. Have filled up my shelves with fruit juice, flour, passata and tinned toms etc so am OK for a while
Weather was truly awful today so didn't do any laundry. I managed to clear the ironing mountain last night - yah. Might get round to sorting my wardrobes. Between summer clothes, Xmas pressies and stuff waiting to go to charity shops, it's no wonder I can't get my winter woolies in
Made a gorgeous pork in tomatoes and mushrooms in SC today, with mash, brocolli and carrots then some banana and walnut loaf for pud. Also remembered to ring MR as well - they are sending me a new lid out, no problems. Fab customer service, that's what I say. I complimented them on the SC while I was at it
P-P: that reminds me, I usually cook my gammon in apple juice and it's lovely, isn't it.
Ok, kids are killing each other, as DS2 is overtired and not in the most receptive mood. I'm going to get them to bed early then settle down to...well, something, I'm sure.
Have a good evening everyone.

Hi everyone
I'm here at work doing the evening shift. Seem to have been here most of the day really! Whizzed home after doing the school run, did the lunches and tuna bake for tea and then came back again!! Never mind it's not given me any time to spend any money- just as well I'm going to Starbucks twice later this week to make up for it!! Lovely surprise- my Dad has finished all my hall decoration and he tells me that he's coming back later in the week to do the woodwork! Methinks a trip to Tesco to buy him some posh bitter is in order by way of a thankyou.
This weekend OH and I are off to London to do a 2 day dollshouse show so wish us well as it's only the second one we've ever done. OH has also picked up some exam invigilation which will give us a bit more spare cash for Christmas. How else will I fund my Lidl cherry brandy habit that I've picked up from here?!!!!!

it has been really sunny here today , had yet another day at home as were all still getting over horrible colds, my hubby was home also. had a tesco home delivery come i was really pleased i got 10 bags of chips for 10p a bag ( i never thought i would actaully get 10 delivered but i did , so got alot of chips to last us now ) and also they said that satsumas and onions were out of stock , but i had a big bag of both in my shopping and i wasn;t charge so that pleased me.
had to go to doc's so popped out for 10mins. was feeling very low , cause of cold . but getting out for 10 mins did the trick.
i made a concocktion for dinner of stuff that needed using, it was some pasta , potatoes , ham , peas all mixed with soup sounds horrible but i grated cheese on top and bake it , and it was rather yummy.
it has now raining very heavy and blowing a gale so gonna make a huge mug of tea and open pack of bisuits. kids in bed and hubby playing a computr game. house is as clean and tidy as it can be with 2 children ages 2 and 16 weeks.0 -
I've just spent a very satisfying hour.................shredding. It must be the destructive part of me that enjoys it! I had a good tidy out of the filing cabinet this afternoon, sorted out loads of old bank statements & other paperwork. I also found £3.50 worth of clubcard vouchers that got within inches of the shredder!
Must remember to make the bed - I'm sure I'm not the only one to have gone to bed in the past only to find a stripped bed?! Faffing about at 11pm putting duvets in covers is not my idea of fun!0 -

Lol - definitely not. I've done that in the past too. What's worse is realising your bedding is still damp and it's the only set you've got  Rapid ironing until dry(ish) Mr TM sleeps on the damp bits (now, now, !!)
Boo hiss - I've just checked my ebay account and someone has retracted the bids on one of my items!! Trouble is, there were 3 people bidding and only 1 left now, so it's back down to 99p when it was at £16. Can't find what happened to the other person and can't remember their username. The other person 'claimed' they had put the wrong max bid in, but they had bid on another similar item. Hope they don't get itOr it goes way over it's true price. That'll serve 'em.
Haven't done any sorting out. Had a nice long hot bath and now I'm having a surf and a glass of something yummy. Ah well, there's always tomorrow (or in a bit, if the notion takes me)0
