Oh boy, I'm exhausted. All the stuff is now out of storage and piled in the dining room
I must make a start on unloading the boxes in a while as I can't get to the freezer or the tumble dryer. I've found all the christmas decorations though and a Halogen heater (still boxed) that I'd forgotten I'd bought back in the spring
Charity shops are great for winter coats. I've just bought a gorgeous Jasper Conran long jacket with a furry hood and double sleeves which is totally beautiful and only cost me £6.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Wow! I can't believe I got so much done today!
Am now on third load of washing (of four), with 2nd in TD - it's now no longer raining, but there's no point putting it out at this time of day, especially not when it would all come in off the line stinking of bonfire smoke and sulphur!
Have just eaten some of my delish HM fish pie, which was all going to be for the freezer, but the cheese sauce looked soooo yummy I decided that it would be tonight's dinner after all! Must soon go and get the pork & pineapple curry (tonight's planned dinner) out of the SC, do some rice to go with it, and box it up ready to go in the freezer when it's cool. Got 5 lunch-size boxes out of the bacon pasta bake I did earlier. All three of these recipes came from this forum - thanks a million! :T
My shoes are back from the cobblers and look as good as new :T so it looks like I'm on target with the "no more new clothes till January" plan. I'd been worried that the cobbler would say the boots at least were irreparable as the soles had completely worn away under the toes, the heels were ripped to shreds, and one had a big hole in the middle of the sole! That would have been the second pair of boots I'd killed in six months!
Am putting my feet up at the moment as I've just been eating my dinner, and I'm listening to the weekly opera broadcast on Radio 3, but it will be the interval soon so I can go and tackle the mountain of washing up  which still seems just as huge even though I feel like I've been washing and drying cooking utensils ALL DAY... It's a bit difficult to listen to music with all the fireworks banging away outside, anyway.Operation Get in Shape

I know - it's like a war zone around here. I'm trying to listen / watch the concert on BBC4 at the moment (Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante punctuated by lots of banging and explosions - maybe they should be playing Handel's Fireworks!!!!).0 -
