hi All ! been at work all day (10 hour shift) 11 hours tommorrow and another 10 on Monday then have got a week off :j

My dance show went well last night :D hopefully made lots of dosh for the Samaritans!
Will be hanging up my fishnets now till March (apart from practising) but am dancing in a local panto in February doing a sailors hornpipe and a hawaiian hula dance - grass skirt and all ! :o

Have a good OS weekend all you lucky people who aren't at work this weekend!
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Well it seems the secret to the cafe's toffee muffins (see my thursday post) is that the bits in the muffin are actually fudge. Translating the handwriting (!) it says "chop up bar of fudge from market". I will admit i couldn't be bothered to make fudge first, so added some thorntons vanilla fudge OH gave me as a present on friday. He didn't mind too much as the muffins were nice.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

Tomorrow I will get back into a OS mood - last week I worked about 37 hours and so not much time for OS - don't know how people who work full time manage it.

But anyway this week with a birthday too - thanks for the good wishes, haven't really been on here since then I'm ashamed to say. Did my Tesco shopping last night and numpty on till would only take 3 coupons - very glad I took a couple of £2 ones now - that store keep mucking me around - am going to write to the manager I think

Today had a little lie in then did one load of washing and put last nights load of now dry washing away (last night had a good clear up around the flat - took the rubbish out, sorted the fridge etc).

I'm in a show early next year and they were doing some set building so did a couple of hours of painting flats white - quite theraputic really :)

Walked into York and met up with a friend who now lives in Leeds and saw the fireworks - big display for the 400th Anniversary of Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot as he was born and grew up in York - very glad we walked as it was really busy and didn't seem to be any police etc around.

Then walked home and jumped in the car and went to another fireworks and bonfire thing at the church we hope to marry in - very nice and only cost a couple of pounds each - the only money I spent today :)

Just been having a relax tonight - off for a bath in a minute - will really try and get up and get back on the OS track tomorrow - think I'm working a full week next week so need to get organised

Hope everyone's had a good day

WM is on. Ironing about to be done. It's pouring with rain here so the washing is going to have to be hung inside.
Porridge for breakfast, beans on toast for lunch and dinner will be steak pie, not HM I'm afraid but I got it reduced at the supermarket for 80p.
I'm going to work at 10am. Have to finish early as youngest DD has a football match and will need picking up at 3pm. OH can't do it because there is an important football game on the TV :p at 4pm and he won't be back in time. He deserves a break though as he's been brilliant while oldest DD has been poorly.

Right off to make porridge and another :coffee:

I hope everyone has a great day.

    Morning all.

My visitors are turnng up today at lunchtime, so I have this morning to get a few things done. Everything is clean and tidy, so I need to make some bread and then do my last skim over the kitchen to make sure that it is neat. Will get going once OH has woken up. He complained once that the breadmaker woke him in the morning (much to my annoyance)

    Breakfast...not sure
    Lunch....at the pub
Tea....HM pizza with salad, with a cheesecake for afters....that is if people want an afters.

The HM bread will be for both OH's and my lunches on Monday, and will leave some for my visitors (parents) to have Monday morning for toast if they so desire.

OH and I spent yesterday cleaning the house...which was needed to be honest.

    Morning All,

I've just been reading yesterdays threads, its funny how one day away feels like MUCH longer  Its nice to be back.

Spent yesterday at doc/hospital. Turns out my strep thraot was a weird strain which was spreading too fast, ulcers all in my mouth and throat, my throat was swelling so that it hurt to breathe, it was awful. But, a quick shot to the prosterior and penicillin pills big enough to dope a horse and I feel almost human again :D

Needless to say the housework was barely attempted by DH yesterday, although he HAS folded the laundry and hung some more on the airer so not all bad.

Need to inventory cupboards and freezer as a tiny top upshop is required but dont want to spend lots as budget looks SCARY at the mo.

Off to drink gallons of coffee and keep catching up on yesterdays goss.

    Love to all,
    Al.
