Made sausage sandwich for breakfast and DH now has streaming cold so have packed him off to bed.

WM has just finished the second load and am about to put another load in.

Pea soup is is the slow cooker for tonight and I fancy cauliflower cheese for lunch.

Bought a lovely pair of pink boots for DD at uni as her shoes are letting in water. Saved £30 and they are being delivered to her address. Phoned her first and told her the website so that she could see them before I ordered and she seemed to like them.:j

Ordered a cd from bang and saved £10 with free delivery for DD to give to friend.

Ordered 2 cds for £3.33 each from Amazon for DH for Christmas from another daughter.

Seem to spend more time on daughters presents for each other and friends than the presents we give!

If all else fails CQ, try the letter writing/email route.

I too often end up so damn frustraed and angry that I dont know what to say or do except cry. It annoys me something cronic because once I've hung up my headis FULL of comebacks and things I ought to have said.

I know, it's so damned frustrating isn't it, this is why I hate dealing with things on the phone because I just can't get the words out to say what I mean and my mind goes blank so I start to panic, especially when the conversation doesn't go to plan. I expected her to say that she'd contact the driver and get him to call me to let me know what time he was arriving, which is what's happened before if they've been late, not that they'd cancelled it!

I tried explaining that I was completely housebound and couldn't go out to get any shopping myself, but it was like talking to a cracked record. Even if they'd offered to deliver this morning it would have been better than nothing, and what makes me so angry is that I've just seen a Tesco van go past whilst typing this, so they can't say they had no deliveries in my area today

A strongly worded letter will make you feel better and will mean they have hard copy evidence of your dissapointment in them. It gives you a chance to draft it and come up with one that says all you want it to.

    ((((HUGS))))

    Al.

I've sent an email this morning on one of their CS forms, and also mentioned the vouchers I've lost, but I don't expect a reply any time soon and even then it will be a standard "copy & paste" response no doubt. I emailed them last week about errors on the website which meant I couldn't order anything last week and only got a reply yesterday saying something about them doing server maintenance and apologies for any inconvenience caused blah blah.

Oh and something else I just remembered, which I've forgotten to mention to them, are the special offers that expired yesterday so even if I was to put my order through again I'd be charged full price for all the BOGOF'S and 2 for 1's etc that I'd bought!

I really wish I could tell Tesco to stick their online shopping where the sun don't shine and never use them again, but the only alternative for general groceries I have is Waitrose and they're damned expensive, so they've got me over a barrel and they know that :(

I just don't know know what to do now. There's other stuff I should be dealing with today but this has just ruined everything and I can't get my head round anything right now. I know it might sound stupid and OTT to some people, but it's like my life at the moment is akin to building a house of cards and it only takes one card to fall out of place and the rest come tumbling down again.

Sorry, I shouldn't be whinging on here, you've all got enough of your own problems to deal with :o ... think I'll just go back to bed.

  • Hello everyone! Hugs to all.

Was in foul mood yesterday - imagining how nice it would be to storm out the office and not come back  Ended up taking it all out on hubby - poor man :o

In much better mood this morning. If I can just stick the job out until July (debts paid and buffer zone in bank) he said I can quit and temp if necessary - so I've just got to be positive for the next 7 months.

Got huge scratch on my neck after hubby 'dropped' the cat onto me in retaliation  And what do cats to do brace themselves? Claws that's what!

I need to work on a job application form tonight for a job I really really want. But it'll be a career change so my CV doesn't cover it. If anybody knows of any websites I can get tips for application form filling-in, please let me know. Not filled one in before as I've relied on CV.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

    Janine

    Morning all

A very frosty start here this morning - looked so pretty tho. Working today - little one is currently asleep, we've been entertaining another childminder this morning and her 3 little ones, did some painting and sticking (much easier with another pair of hands to help tidy up!!)

DD1 off school with a streaming cold today - she's not fussed tho - she's getting play with all her birthday pressies from yesterday.

No idea what to do for tea tonight, something with mince I think, DH is away today so no idea what time he'll be back. Need to do a big online shop tomorrow - going away next friday for a few days and need to be on top of everything as it then gets really busy here.

Went to bed at 8ish last night to do some sewing in the warmth of bed, stuck a dvd on and was really cosy, DH couldn't belive I was in bed so early. Nearly finished the dragon I'm making, it's looking wonderful, going to make other DD one too.

Time to empty WM and TD before little one wakes up then lunch of beans on toast.

    Have a great day all.

Feeling really frazzled - everything was going nicely - I was on here and had spybot programme on background to clear virus etc.

Then BANG and computer went off as did everything else downstairs except the lights!

Climbed onto chair and streched to switch the fuse box switch back on - everything ok - then - same again - and again and again!!!!!!

After getting dizzy fron going up and down like mad - eventually worked out that the electric kettle has tripped the fuse - thrown out kettle - fished out old fashioned kettle which is on gas hob and made a pot of tea!

DH still upstairs oblivious to it all and it will now take me all day to run the spyware.

Really glad I bought the kettle when I saw it in a sale - DH kept saying it was a waste of money as we would never use it. lol;)

    Morning :hello:

Trains were all delayed this morning, my boss is speaking to me like I'm a particularly troublesome 2-year-old, I've got loads of work to do, AND I just wrote a really long post for this thread and then pressed backspace and lost the lot

...still on the plus side, it looks like housemate's come to his senses and realised he ought to do the place up before he sells it (so no need to uproot self in the immediate future :j ). Am still planning on moving on, in whatever way, sometime within the next 18 months (but at least I can plan for the 12-18 month timescale rather than 2!)

And my new digital TV box WORKS! With my luck, I wasn't expecting it to...

Great to see you back Queenie :j:j:j

  • Thanks Squeaky - I didn't realise there was a board that covered that - too addicted to OS I think!

Won't be entitled to any benefits I know. But if I got this job, the small drop in salary (£1000 p.a.) would be offset with absolutely no travel costs! A 2 minute walk as opposed to 4 hours a day driving :j !!!!! Fingers crossed!!!
