Happy St Andrew's Day to everyone
I posted this thought for the day a bit too late on yesterday's thread so decided to repeat it again for catzine who is going to have a sparkling house today0 -
Morning everyone!
And happy St Andrews day to all you wee Scots lads and lassies out there.
It's an early one for me today, unfortunately not intended. It seems I have somehow taken a step backwards returning to early wakening for no apparent reason. It drives me mad, I end up with just four hours sleep a night with the consequence that I could quite happily snuggle up at work and have a nice nap. I've got a majorly boring training day today, all about the intricacies of a particular computer program - I am really not that interested!
My little two and half month old monster/kitten decided last night that his litter tray was just too much bother to go down the stairs to use. So he used my duvet on my bed to piddle on!!!! Oh the little monster!!! I shouted at him and hissed at him to let him know he's a very naughty little boy and gave him a push to try and get him to stop. He lay there with his little leg in the air and a yellow fountain still coming out then ran downstairs once he'd finished. Sorry too much information if you're eating.... Anyway, the said duvet is in the laundry bin awaiting transfer on Saturday to a laundrette or dry cleaners, and my bed is sporting a rather thin 4.5 tog summer duvet.
Boring training aside, just another working day for me. How I wish I didn't have to!
Penny Pincher, hope you had a decent night's kip, and everyone else who was feeling under the weather yesterday, hope things are looking better today.

Morning All
Hope you are all well. I got 6hrs kip last night, abit broken but thats good for meIn alot of pain this morning with my hip/spine
Have 1 washload to do and will be dried again in the TD coz weather is so cold and damp. No cleaning/tidying to do, but have just done the loo, but do that each morning.
Have Stannah coming this morning about the stairlift, just checking on final measuremennts as its been built now but they just need to check. So should be in by Xmas-hopefully! Maybe I could decorate it with tinsel and holly..LOL
Got OH's mate coming round later for the evening and dinner. So am going to do Steak, HM chips, corn on cob & onion rings. The steak was bought yellow ticketed from Macros and are catering pieces and sirloin-reduced from £12 to £4 for 4 large pieces  I dare say they will be on Xbox most of evening, so I may have another early night
Have a 2 hospital appointments tomorrow (lucky me!) one for the Warfarin clinic and the other is to see a bone specialist (cant remember what there called). I really dont want to go out ATM but need to make these appointments-such a pain in the bum.
My course material turned up yesterday from the OU and it looks very interesting-dont start it till Feb 2006 though, and first TMA doesnt have to be in till March-so could get a very hard start..LOL.
Anyways, breakie is cereal/toast. Lunch is fish and HM pizza for OH. Dinner is Steak, chips, corn on cob and onion rings. I may have chicken for dinner as beef doesnt settle well with me.
Will catch up later.
Penny-Pincher!!

Morning!
Snowy - I'll never forget that same feeling when I got into bed one night to find a piddle mark under the duvet!! Aww, bless em! My little girl has just discovered the windows in our new flat and is now taunting the birdies....
Anyhoo - Work was a pain yesterday - we had loads of workmen in there but our cute techie guy was there so it at least brightened up my day a touch (I was only looking - we dont often have pretty men in to ogle so I had to make the most of it whilst I could!) I got home in a filthy mood - fortunately the boyf was out so I took out my frustrations on the threatening wardrobe and fixed it - I think I'd decided that it worked for me and it could squish me all it wanted, I could smash it to pieces and burn it should I so please - and it miraculously co-operated and im now the proud owner of one finished wardrobe. And who says violence never works! I then went on a cleaning frenzy until about 8.30 then gave up and had a chinese. I didnt even have a cup of tea when I got home until id done it all!
Needless to say, my mood had improved greatly by the time the boyf got home and I realised that one of the 'junk mail' envelopes I hadnt bothered to open yet was actually boots vouchers from Pigsback - £10. Im waiting for my other £20 then im going shopping I think.
Boyf's parents are coming down this week after they cancelled last time, so ive told the boyf to get them to bring a drill with them so I can hang my pictures. We also found out that i get paid on the 16th December so I will have a 5 week wait for january's pay - but it also means I can spend a little in my time off and ill rob my ISA for january sale money should I so need to.
So - to sum - this week is getting better.... and my non favourite boss isnt in work this week (yey...) so there is plenty to smile about!
Off to get ready for work, have a lovely day all!

Up and about to go out over the other side of the County to see a freind. We did not get the threatened rain ivernight, so although its very cold, hope the roads are not too bad.
Managed to get the bedroom and bathroom done yesterday, Lounge today when I get back, we have laminate flooring in the lounge with a Chinese rug on, so it will be a a case of move all the furniture to one side of the room whilst I clean off all the rolls of fluff and do the floor with the impregnated cleaning cloths and then move everything to do the other side, always knackers me up, our settee is a metal framed bed settee and as heavy as hell, hate moving it, but it has to be done. not sure whats for supper tonight, feel macoroni cheese and jacket spuds coming on I think........might do a bread and butter pud in the oven at the same time. Do not have the oven on all that much, I have a convection micro which I tend to use, but think that tonight might be a good time to have a full oven, could to baked toms as well.
Oh has just come down and asked of I am ready, so better shoot off. By the way re the Council tax fiasco, our councillor is coming to see us on Friday...... watch this space.

Morning everyone :j
Still in my PJ's, DS1 off to school so just me and DS2 this morning.
Managed to finish off the dining room last night. I wish it was sunny this morning so I could see if I've missed painting any of the walls - you can't tell in artificial light. Just a couple of bits of glossing to touch up, but thay can be done as and when. I'll get the carpet relaid and vac's then Mr TM can help me move the furniture back this evening - one of those wall units is a monster. May give the curtains a quick cold wash today. I'm going to replace them in the new year but they are quite old so it would be nice to have them clean to go back up (Hope I don't shrink them or anything stoopid)
Have a mystery shopping job this pm, which is good because I need to go to the bank. Still have a few pressies to get, so may have a quick look round too. Need a new frying pan too, so TJ Hughes will get a look in I think.
OK, off to get dressed, do some cleaning (DS1 decided to decorate the living room carpet with yoghurt last night and not tell me. Thought if he rubbed it in it would magically disappear. Only found it when it was dried in ) Laundry awaits. Don't know what to have for tea - have some turkey breast bits so will use those in some concoction)
Have a good one

Sadly my pc is working just fine so the house is its usual ....
Daughter off ill but on the mend so she won't know what hits her this afternoon when I get home from work and set her to tidy and clean her bedroom
Queenie, good to see you :j no worries, whenever, wherever ok!0 -
Morning :hello:
Good luck with the council tootles.
Last week I cleared out a wardrobe and some drawers - (any of you been sneaking over and filling them up when I'm not looking?) The end result was worth it though ... from the "Bin It!" bag I have:
~ made a couple of draught excluders (trouser legs, stuffed with chopped up beyond-usage-clothing/tights/socks) for the Utility Room. When I came across some tartan pj bottoms ... I decided to make a couple of "spares" to put out over the Christmas week too (sad aren't I LOL )At the weekend, I have promised the boys that we will make 'salt' - but that may well change to making butter because it's getting just too cold!!!!
~ salvaged buttons/zips
~ made T-shirt "cushions" for the boys room (stuffed as above).
D11yo made a Christmas Cake in a tin at school on Monday - he's very proud of itHe has to take it back on Monday to marzipan and ice it then it will be part of a display. He's so enthusiastic that he wants to make a couple more this weekend to give to the elderly neighbours (it will be part of a Secret Santa Gift)
The SC isn't in service much at the moment, but that's because I need the oven on (North facing kitchen and flippin' COLD otherwise). Fortunately, my oven has an "S" setting (slo-cook)Funnily enough, if the kitchen warms up with the oven, the CH doesn't need to be on as long or as high - so, in my circumstances, it's probably more of a saving to use the oven
Have a good day ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
