Hi there!
Just going to reheat some leftover sausages for lunch. Still missing ds (in Majorca with his grandparents) as he is not back until friday.
Took sis to the docs yesterday. As a treat she bought me some fresia and gave me a nice top.
could someone help me with something???? I am putting together a proper budget. Problem is that some of my income and bills are made on a four week cycle while the others are on a calendar month. How do you do the amounts???
Thanks in advance!!!The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
Just coming to the end of my lunch break - shop bought some of it I'm afraid - really need to get that sorted
Porridge for breakie though and dinner tonight is pasta.
Off to Sainsburys this evening, going to give it another try as it doesn't seem that much more expensive than Tescosneed to try and make a list this afternoon now
Had a good time at Tescos last night - took back some plastic value crates we bought to move house with 1 snapped leaving sharp edges and we haven't really space for all 8 anyway now - so took them back to customer services who were really snotty - said they could only refund on the broken one as the others were still fine  Made a fuss and they relented - £7.79 back and got it in cash even though we paid by card originally (in the selling stuff savings now :T)
Also got some more reduced clothes - lovely set pyjama type things to wear in the evenings, got a vest top, top, trousers and over zip up hoodie thing, dress shirt for OH and 3 pairs of knee socks for me all for about £25 :T
Got a few bits downstairs like milk and deicer - and it kept us amused for an hour last night - sounds so sad - also got some flowers reduced from £1.99 to 30p :j
Better get on now...Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Woo hoo - my new chair has arrived from Viking - so must get Mr TM to put it together tonight. no more sitting here looking like I've been at the cooking sherry again
(even if I have - joke - there's none left :rotfl:)
Bought a lovely frying pan and some new roasting tins from TJ Hughes (I do treat myself well, don't I . No wasting money on CD's and such:)) Did my mystery shopping job, where I had to reveal who I was at the end, and it turns out the woman I was assessing is my friend's aunt and friend lives 150 miles away so haven't seen them in ages. Thank heavens for unusual surnames, eh?
SC smells lovely - turkey and veg in a creamy sauce. Will have it with rice. Fruity loaf in BM, due out at 4pm on return from school run. Ok, coffee finished so must go and start the mammoth round of collecting and ferrying kids around the place.
ps Good to see you back again, Queenie. We've all missed you. :wave:0 -

Hello everyone
Another late visit for me today. But I have got so much done today; cleaning, posted some parcels, finally cleared out some clutter that has been sitting around for I-don't-know-how-long and taken it to the charity shop - even remembered to get the car tax! It wasn't till I got home & the reminder popped up on the computer, that I remembered I hadn't picked up DHs prescription. Oh well, he can wait another day!
Dinner is spag bog, so nice & easy.
And I have done some more of my knitting - I started a scarf the other day, inspired by the knitting thread on this forum. It's nearly a foot long after 4 days - I am so impressed!!!! Thanks to whoever started that thread off!0 -
Just done my first ever online shop. Took twice as long as going myself but using codes and no impulse buys hope to save a bit. Ordered all the boring stuff to last over crimbo like dog food, washing powder etc and finished the list with a few bottles for me and dh!The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

PP - I cheated a bit really, cos I used the only shop-bought jar I still get. I use the Chicken Tonite creamy mushroom sauce, cos all the kids like it and I can't replicate it enough for their liking.
I just cubed the turkey, added some veg - in this case it was a packet of runner beans from the depths of the freezer, yellow stickered at 10p, 1/4 red pepper and 1/2 courgette from fridge and lots of mushrooms, left in big chunks. Just threw it all in pot, stirred in jar of sauce and washed jar round with about 1/4 jar of milk to bulk up volume of liquid. Full power for about 4 hours and served on a bed of rice. Very nice too.0
