I agree with you here although occasionally I am guilty of rating something as VU when it clearly should be lower - I must stop doing it altogether however.

I once saw someone write a review haranguing dooyooers for over-rating reviews and then later on whilst rating other reviews noticed she was doing it herself. :rolleyes:

I won't deny this happens BUT remember, rates are subjective, therefore, although you may see a clearly VU/U or even SU op others may not agree. I find I rate against the grain for many ops but it may be in either direction. As rates are not visible when we rate if you just go with your gut instinct you can rate fairly and without influence from others. That might mean, on inspection, that your rate appears against the grain (either way) but it shouldn't matter.

Oh I know all of that. But this member was quite specific in what she said in her review wasn't useful and was rating something which contained hardly any opinion, was littered with spelling errors and just scraped the 150 word limit as Very Useful - which was specifically what she was complaining about in her review.

Also don't kid yourself about rates not being visible - its quite easy to click on existing rates before you decide how to rate to see how others have rated before you make a final decision.

Well well well. My inbox on Dooyoo got filled with complaints about this post and as it's directed at me people feel I should have a right to reply so here I am after having to sign up to this site.

People know it's about me because you quoted my profile so where do I start?

Firstly I never revenge rated you for anything. Sure you did give me usefuls on crowned reviews now I've read this and checked but I didn't know that at the time of rating you. I don't keep score of who rates what as what and from my point of view I don't see useful as a bad rate and I get a mixture of rates anyway so it's hard to tell who's rated what half the time as I write so many reviews and get so many reads etc. Believe it or not I don't sit glued to my laptop keeping score. I did rate a couple of your reviews somewhat useful but again these were on early pieces of your work that were scored as useful in the main and not very useful as say if my memory serves me correctly.

Ok so here you say I write 300 words on the colours on my packaging and then that you don't find it useful yet you rate my review as useful? Why? Who's messing about here with their rates then? You haven't rated fairly at all and I deserved less than useful from you no?

Yes I did rate your old reviews.... can't I? I hadn't see you before you rated me and I started rating you from the bottom of your review list? So what you wrote them? If your not happy with early peices of work modify them as I did? Maybe you should say on tagline don't vote this cos I honestly rated on what I read and had no consideration for any improvement I just simply did what I say! As for Charlie saying it's obviously revenge no it isn't some of us don't work so immaturely thank-you. Read some of Fivers early reviews and see what you think before pointing fingers at me. As for you losing respect for me that's fair enough I doubt I'll lose any sleep over this silliness to be honest lol

Well first off that was a joke and had you have ever read any of my reviews you would have seen that but also I find it fascinating that you took the time to read my profile before slating me. Let me point out that I'm so big headed and precious about my reviews that not only did I not see your rates, I didn't think you had a problem with me. Also I'm not the one moaning about you behind your back or running to the admin asking them to remove rates that I have recieved from you? I didn't see the need to. Seems you are a whinger and if you'd of spoken to me on Dooyoo about any issue you had with me I would have admired you much more than saying untruths about me behind my back. After all I'm a 34 year old woman thank you very much.

I have reported you now for doing this as I don't have to take your accusations lying down and they are unfounded in every way and not based on fact or truth. I'm not known to be a nasty or vindictive member and suggest if you don't like me or my reviews you stay away from me instead of trying to provoke me and make a name for yourself. Your really very rude and spiteful and I'm disapointed at you lying about me. I suggest anyone doubting my word on this matter to look at whats been going on between me and Fiver, if they have the time or can be bothered! Thank you for reading peeps x

You never saw my U ratings before rating me eh? Strange that, since the rating was on your review, then later in the day you looked at my profile way before you actually rated any.

Then the same happened the second time I gave you a U rating, weird!!!!

Strange again, you never rated any of my less than VU until I rated yours U, pure coincidence I'm sure.....not!

I haven't lied about anything, I have not spoken to Dooyoo about it (please try and get your facts rights). Sorry but I've seen people use the 'it was only a joke' line before, it gets very dull after a while. Most people who joke add LOL, ROFL, PMSL, LMAO, or plain old 'just kidding' when they are joking, unless they are planning to back track about it.

And no I don't find a load of crap about packaging useful, but there were other things in the review that were useful, and some things that were very useful, so averaged out it means the review is useful. Seriously it's not hard to work out how someone might not find one this useful but find the rest of the review useful!

Thats funny you stated that my rate had been removed yet you never complained about it? Your not the only person to rate my reviews so why would I see your rate inparticular? I only get to see the top 50 rates the same as you. If I don't come on till very late the day after I've posted your rate dont show to me at all and I'd have to go investigating who did what? Come off it, how much time would all that take me to do?

So what about whether I put lmao or whatever on my profile? Even if I meant it (which I didn't in this case) don't back your claim up in this instance because your lying about me and the way I rate.

My point is this. Your entitled to your opinion and to rate on my review and I'm entitled to the same back. End of story really..no? For some reason this is about you having issue about my profile I think and usually I wouldn't take sides with a guide but this time I do because your being spiteful to me as well. Your a moaner and are telling porkies about us my only query is why? Dooyoo is a mature site to be enjoyed by all and make a few quid from. Not so you can bully people.

I just find it amusing that someone says they don't really care yet write a novel in rebuttal on a public forum.

The words "yeah" and "right" spring to mind here.

And I don't for one minute believe your tale about never having seen Fiver29's reviews before and finding it necessary to go back to her very first reviews to rate. To a casual observer it smacks of a very devious way to revenge rate and not the way that the vast majority of people on Dooyoo work.

ETA - and what exactly have you reported Fiver29 for? She didn't name you publicly anywhere and has a right to discuss Dooyoo here. You made the decision to "out" yourself, so I don't really see what you have reported her for.

May I point out that I get alot of ratings so if I write a review one morning and can't get on my laptop untill the following day, say in the evening I quite often get over 50 reads and rates in that time and like you I can only see 50 rates on the list? I'm no different to other members and don't have special powers and am not phychic either?

As I said previously why would I be upset about a useful rate anyway? Sure I probably did check you profile out at some point the same as you did me. You see to base all your lies evidence on what was written on my profile in your argument is all you have to go on me so you've twisted it to suit yourself and took me out of context. Again I will point out that I haven't changed the wording on my profile in a long time and have nothing to hide and am on the level.

I've been on Dooyoo 16 ish months now and not encountered any malice but then I still haven't because instead of bringing up your upset to me you said you reported me and felt fit to come on this site and deliberetly point your finger at me so it was obvious who you meant which isn't nice or mature. Then you say in your last post that I should get my facts right and you said nothing to Dooyoo? Again lies and this time ones people can read on here! If you gonna be a liar you need to be a wee bit smarter!

I would say from this experience with you that for some reason you have issue with rates as you think your reviews are great. We don't all think the same and again, as I said earlier I direct people to your earlier reviews before they pass an opinion on my ratings.

As for Charlie losing respect for me based on flimsy unprovable rubbish from a reletively new member...so be it. It's simply a moaner who will be here today and gone tomorow. Alot of newbies feel the need to come have a bash at more established members cos they see us doing well and it's pure and simple jealousy.

I don't approve of bullying and I won't get into petty squabbles with an immature member. What I do advise other members though is to think wisely before giving this member anything other than a very useful rating or you'll get blasted like me and the guide on Dooyoo.

I write to the best of my ability and won't be changing the formats of my reviews any time soon. I'm happy with the way I rate my reviews and happy with about 60 crowns or whatever to my name. Most importantly I'm glad my reviews do get so many reads and people take the time to read what I have to say so I suggest you go teach a Granny to suck eggs cos I don't need your advice now or never thanks!
