There shouldn't be no, how long ago did you request? Can chase it up for you if I have the details (date requested, how much, dooyoo username)

  • I think the account must have been hacked - old reviews have been edited with the Ronaldo stuff.

I feel sorry for the genuine owner of that account.

I'm going to be a pedant here, so sorry about this.

If (and that has to be stressed here) a third party has gained access to the account, chances are it's because the password was weak. Actual "hacking" is a lot less common than you might imagine and your Dooyoo account is reasonably safe, provided your password is better than "password" etc.

The liklihood of some evil nerd coming along and "hacking" your account is almost nil.

I was thinking it might have been a teenage child in the account owners house. The fact the posts were all about Ronaldo seems to suggest it was a youngster.

Unless someone specifically is targetting the user of that account. Could be they saved their password on a shared computer or something like that.

Yup... it's all likely. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's definitely not what everyone calls "hacking", just that out of all the possibilities, "hacking" is the least likely, yet it's something people are willing to grasp as the truth and run with. I've seen reviews on Dooyoo where the author creates concern because they've posted about "hacking" with no actual evidence whatsoever, just hearsay from another member. It seems very easy for something like that to take on a life of its own on a site such as Dooyoo, so I believe everyone should be vocal about stopping such ill-informed claptrap if they see it on site.

When I am rating reviews I tend to click the rating and then press the back button twice to get back to the list.

I was just curious, does this count as 2 readings of that review?

That's what I do too! It will only count as one member reading and so only earns once. It shouldn't much up the total number of reads either (although if logged off this might happen!)
