Does anyone know if the Dooyoo team are on holiday at the moment?

I ordered an Amazon voucher on the 18th Dec, and havent received it yet. I emailed them 2 days ago but havent received a reply yet. Do they normally take a long time to reply?

They have been out over the festive period. They're probably also drowning in the number of payout requests....

Please note I'm not insinuating anything when I say the following (nor is it directed at anyone, it's just my opinion):

People posting (and I joke not) 100 ops over a couple of days aren't going to be helping matters. Content does get read and dooyoo won't pay out if they don't think the content is up to scratch or if they suspect foul play. I imaine in that they've got a lot to be looking at at the moment, even if it all turns out to be kosher. For those who waited on Qype you'll know what I mean. Like Qype dooyoo are fair and do pay out but they'll do their checking first.

I think there's an additional element to the churning, especially at those levels and that is that non-churning members can be put off posting on the site when these people are around. Things are much better now than they used to be in reducing the negative impact of churners, but people still get disheartened to see large numbers of reviews per day by the same member. Even if you have nothing to post yourself, it can be soul destroying trying to find something worthwhile to read.

Don't feel pressured to read those who read you - just read what you fancy. As long as you contribute to the site by reading something noone will mind!

Remember too that ratings are personal. Someone might have a very good reason for rating you SU or U even though you think you've written the perfect review. You can't be helpful to all of the people all of the time!

Enjoy - just don't get carried away!

As for your previous comments, yes, people join Dooyoo primarily to earn a little bit extra but that doesn't make them any different from any other members and doesn't necessarily mean that all MSE members will 'churn'. Does every other (non-MSE) member donates all their Dooyoo miles to charity? If not, then surely they are primarily posting reviews for the rewards too? And yes - it can be an enjoyable hobby. It certainly is a great hobby for me and I don't like to see the site spoiled by a minority of greedy people - whether they originate from MSE or not.

No, but one of the main differences (as I see it) between MSE members and others are that MSE members are joining to earn a second income (or as part of one), with some kind of financial goal in mind. The threads here on MSE make that clear when you do a search for "dooyoo" and browse through the posts. Taking that on board, the financial gain for these members is much more important than honest rating, reading around the site, community interaction and reporting bugs and/or abuse. It may or may not lead to churning, but does lead to loophole exploitation and the site, IMO, suffers for it. Other people do this too, I admit, but MSE is a concentrated group of people, most of whom have set goals that Dooyoo income is helping towards and MSE members are encouraging other to join for those same reasons.

I do like this site! and i'm enjoying writing the reviews. i was surprised by how quickly my reviews were being rated. awesome

myself and my friend have had our accounts cancelled today we both got an email saying we had written to many reviews and wont receive our earnings.

I had written 50 reviews in 10 days!!! I know loads of other reviews doing double this!!!

I am really annoyed that I wont see any of my earnings. If they said sorry, you've done too many we're taking half your earnings Id think... ok, fair enough. but all of them!!!

Has anyone else had their account removed?

That sucks Were you and your friend rating each other a lot?

50 reviews in 10 days is excessive, but also achievable if you have that sort of time on your hands.

I joined on boxing day and i've still only done 8 because i'm struggling to find things to review! No idea how you managed to find 50, i must be too uninspired lol.

How many miles did you have?

it only avgrages 5 a day! n I have been of work for a week over xmas.
me and my friend only rated 3 or 4 of each others reviews, I got more ratings of other dooyoo users.

I had 50,000 miles. i had stopped writting reviews the other day til all of these were redeemable.

Im gutted!!!!
