me and my friend only rated 3 or 4 of each others reviews, I got more ratings of other dooyoo users.
I had 50,000 miles. i had stopped writting reviews the other day til all of these were redeemable.
Im gutted!!!!
I can see a whole bunch of problems here, and, sorry to say (well, not really), on the face of it anyway, you and your friend were abusing the system and were removed legitimately.
If your reviews (and that of your 'friend') had the same standard of spelling and grammar as your posts, those reviews would not be helpful to the consumer. I'm guessing (though I could, of course, be wrong) that your reviews were very short - barely making the 150 word minimum, and I'd not be surprised if much of that was info rather than opinion.
Again, general rules of thumb (and these have been repeated both here and on dooyoo itself):
1. Write reviews on products with which you are quite familiar - playing with your friend's phone for 15 minutes does not a review make. Buying and using a phone for a month probably does.
2. Write opinion. Saying 'this phone has games, 3G, bluetooth and video' is not terribly useful from dooyoo's point of view. Saying "as well as having excellent call clarity, the iPhone scores points on so many levels. Although the keyless interface takes some getting used to, once I got the hang of it, texting and email was a dawdle. The downloadable aps are fun, though some are clearly more useful than others - who actually NEEDS an iPint?!" and so forth.
3. Don't copy. Not even a little, unless you attribute it. Copying information - even background information - from Wikipedia is plagiarism unless you clearly attribute it. It will be smited.
4. Don't revenge rate (rating a user's review down because he or she rated you down), however, don't sheep rate either (rating everything VU because people will like you then, and you'll be spreading the love). Rate fairly, and as you see fit. Rating against the grain is fine, as long as you can justify it in your own mind (there is absolutely no obligation to leave a comment justifying your rating, however - whether you do or not is your call).
5. Give back to the community. There is no Dooyoo rule that says you have to read around the site if you post reviews, but it helps the site, it helps you (as you read and rate and comment, people will recognise you, and will be more likely to visit your reviews), it helps the consumer (peer review).
6. Don't set up cartels. Agreeing to read all of your friend's reviews (and rate VU) if they do the same to yours is a cartel. I realise it's a fine line - you have a trust list, and if you are an active member, you probably have favourite authors. But Dooyoo can tell the difference between that kind of behaviour and organised cartel behaviour. Some of the threads here on MSE come VERY close to the cartel line.
7. Don't speed read/rate just to get reads and rates on your ops. Opening a bunch of windows and rating everything VU is against the T&Cs.
8. PROOFREAD. Spelling and grammar counts. Poor spelling and grammar won't necessarily get you kicked off (it depends on how poor - stuff that has been automatically translated from another language via Google or Babelfish is the worst), but it won't get you the highest rates and the highest earnings either. Reviews with poor spelling and grammar are much more unlikely to get crowned (I am MUCH less likely to nominate reviews with extremely poor spelling and grammar - I'm a bit a of a stickler for that, though that's me).
The Dooyoo PTB are strict but fair. Chances are, something you did made the PTB believe that you had abused the system, and broken the conditions of the T&Cs. You might find it useful to go read the T&Cs and the FAQs. Also, if you drop an email or PM to Dooyoo, they will very likely explain the basis for their decision.

we both got an email saying we had written to many reviews and wont receive our earnings.
I had written 50 reviews in 10 days!!! I know loads of other reviews doing double this!!!
I am really annoyed that I wont see any of my earnings. If they said sorry, you've done too many we're taking half your earnings Id think... ok, fair enough. but all of them!!!
Has anyone else had their account removed?
I don't think the issue was just with writing too many but also with the fact that opinions were found to have been plaigiarised....0 -

As you were copying, you were in fact committing fraud. I'm sure that MSE would rather not be connected with fraudsters. If you were cheating on your income tax, should you be allowed to keep half of what you embezzled?

YAY i've got my first crown!!!!!0

Well done!0

Can somebody explain how a crown works? I've nominated one review I've read for it because I thought the person had actually taken time and thought about it. It was quite a long review but seemed like the user knew the product.

Yep - a nomination doesn't guarantee a crown - it's not a voting system. By nominating a review, you are bringing it to dooyoo's attention - they then make the final call as to whether it should be crowned.
In my opinion, an opinion is crownworthy when it's:
1. Well written (including spelling and grammar)
2. More than very useful - if you were shopping for the product in question, would this be the review that helps you make a decision?
3. Noteworthy in some way - what sets it apart from other reviews in the category?
What doesn't (in my opinion - YMMV) automatically make a review crownworthy is simply evidence that the writer 'tried hard' - the effort should show in results!
Please do keep in mind, this is all my opinion and views, and your mileage may vary
Dooyoo's official views can be found here. The important bit of that is: "A Crowned Review is an exceptionally well-written review that has been awarded a Crown. For a review to be awarded a Crown it must be helpful. It should provide all the information required for a consumer to make an informed purchasing decision, it's insightful, full of character and above all it's entertaining and enjoyable to read."
So there you go

Yup. Other people will have different ideas. I personally concentrate more on the content and am more willing to overlook spelling and grammar issues if the person is giving me lots of good opinion and insight into a product or service. I'm less of a style/flair person and more of a content person. Others are different.0
