  • Yup. Other people will have different ideas. I personally concentrate more on the content and am more willing to overlook spelling and grammar issues if the person is giving me lots of good opinion and insight into a product or service. I'm less of a style/flair person and more of a content person. Others are different.

Yep - as mentioned, your mileage may vary ;)

Seriously though, within the rules of dooyoo, which are from 'on high' (no copying, no cartels, stuff like that) there is a lot of leeway for personal opinion and views (it is, after all, an opinion and review site).

Nominate as you see fit, just do so within Dooyoo's own guidelines (i.e. don't just nominate your mates because you like them and they like you).

    Cheers

Have just joined DooYoo and I'm loving it!
I had stayed away from survey sites until recently as I thought I'd be bored writing, but I'm actually really getting into it! It took me a while to actually get right into the site and find things I was interested in reviewing, but now I have there's no stopping me! :D

I think the easiest way to see if you are on the right track, is to read some of the crowned reviews. These will give you a better idea of what the Dooyoo team think is good.

  • I don't think you have anything to worry about with respect to your reviews being deleted. That review is fine, though if I were rating it, I'd be rating either U or SU for the following reasons:

    1) I've no idea how long this year's CBB has been running, but ideally I'd like to see something about how these people are interacting. All you seem to do is tell us who the celebs are, not how they're getting along in the house.

    2) Is there anything, apart from the cast list, to set this year's CBB apart from any other year? Is BB being more evil? Less evil?

Those are only two real points, but I'd like to seem more insight and opinion into this year's programme. All I get from your current review is a list of celebs and the usual vague notion of what BB is about.

DISCLAIMER: These are my points of view. Not everyone will agree with what I've written.

I did rate it. Because you asked, I will give my opinion - like Freddy says, please note, this is JUST my opinion - it's not from the PTB, it is not a list of dos and don'ts - it's JUST my view.

    THE GOOD
It's certainly not abusive in any way
    - it's not copied, it's not just 150 words, it ticks all the 'not abuse' boxes. You won't get this review deleted for abuse.

It's reasonably well written. Spelling is accurate, it looks like it's been proofread, and you clearly have a grasp of capitalisation and punctuation (yay - that's one of my pet peeves). You do, however, really seem to like your exclamation points :)

    THE NOT SO GOOD
I agree with Freddy - I'd like more than just a list of inmates. There is very little real insight in this review, and it assumes an intimate knowledge of Big Brother. I am not suggesting you should explain Big Brother as if the reader comes from Mars and had never seen it, but some idea as to what makes Celebrity BB different from BB (it's certainly not the fame of the inmates - I've hardly heard of them lol), what has changed this year as compared to previous, and maybe even predictions for what will be different or interesting about this crop.

I rated U, though I really did debate between U and SU. But, as I say, this review follows the T&Cs, and should not result in your suspension or the review's deletion.

Keep in mind, I'm only giving this much feedback because you asked - this is not meant in any way to be a personal judgement or slight, and it does not come from dooyoo, it comes from me. And always remember, YMMV.

    Cheers.

I've seen you around! It's kind of addicitve, isn't it!

I joined last week, and love the place!

Just wondering, I'm finding the site confusing to navigate. What's the best way to go about it?

I usually just go into my account, then if I'm going to write a review use the search to find the product then write the review.

Then from my account page click Newest Reviews and make my way down the page of reviews.
If I'm not writing a review I just go straight to newest reviews and go from there. Then every so often, usually once a week, I double check my circle of friends to make sure I haven't missed any of their reviews.
