DooYoo - Get Paid to Write Reviews Online

  • Guides do not rate and offer advice immediately - some guides are far more proactive at offering advice than others.

I would suggest to that you will need to rate more than 5 reviews per day if you want to get more ratings yourself - its in the ratings that you can increase your miles on dooyoo - and obviously in the quality of your reviews because you can then earn Crowns.

When I started I was pretty clueless but someone suggested rating the Latest Reviews which are easily found and then add the reviewers you liked to read best to your Circle of Friends. I have done this and I rate at least 20 reviews every day if I can. This means I get rates in return and ups my miles!

Always try to return ratings if you can because that way people will "remember" you and rate your reviews in future.

    Good luck!

Another good way I find of getting ratings up is to check who rated your last review and go through the list reading and rating at least one of everyone theres reviews. I tend to do that as soon as I log on then go to the new reivews section to see if theres anything which looks interesting there.
Another thing which I tend to do is check 'new reviewers' stats, if theyre writing lots and not reading anything I dont bother to read their reviews as theres a good chance they wont bother to read mine. Plus if people are writing more than a couple of reviews a day I tend to only bother to read one and even then only if their stats show that theyre reading and rating other peoples as well. Personally I set myself 'targets' like 40 ratings or 6 comments before I post another review, so if Im not getting that sort of number of reads then I'll go out and make an extra effort to read more myself. Stops me posting too many in a short space of time when I'm in the mood for reviewing and makes sure I actually get around to reading other peoples reviews.

Guides are just like the rest of us, they read what looks interesting to them outside of their catagories and even with busy cats cant be expected to read everything, not to mention that most of them have 'real' jobs to and help out on dooyoo in their spare time.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • Guides do not rate and offer advice immediately - some guides are far more proactive at offering advice than others.

If you require ANY advice at all, don't be shy about contacting a guide yourself, the obvious choice being the guide of whichever category you're interested or writing in. Don't wait for a guide to come and just give you that advice... not all guides believe that advice should be given unasked for, so a good number of guides won't leave "advice" comments or PMs unless specifically asked.

The guides might be a group of members, but each guide has their own way of doing things, so because one guide is proactive in giving out advice, does not mean that this is typical guide behaviour.

Contact them... they're usually a decent bunch.
  • And some of these "DooYoo experts" get on my nerves when they get pedantic with speling (You know who you guys are because you are outraged i have spelt spelling with one L).

Why not get pedantic with spelling? You're being paid for your submissions, so why not take the time to run your "review" through a spell checker? No-one's perfect, of course, but reviews that a full of errors can be marked lower if the rater finds them less useful. It's a matter of presentation. If your work looks decent, I will be more inclined to trust what you have to say. If it's packed with easily fixed errors, my opinion will be that if you're too lazy or too interested in posting for money, then what you have to say has less value.

I recently joined dooyoo and I'm really enjoying it so far.
My biggest problem is that I like posting in the discussion area more than I like posting reviews and you don't earn any points for that! But I have managed to get some points so that's just a bonus. I was writing reviews on amazon for free so I might as well write them on dooyoo instead and get paid.
I'm a bit nervous that they're not good enough. I think if you're being paid to do something then you should put more effort into it and at the moment I'm not sure if my reviews are good enough to actually be paid for them...I'm still in amazon review writing mode!

  • Hi JBennett, I don't think you are allowed to post referral links on the board; you'll need to remove it from your post.
