DooYoo - Get Paid to Write Reviews Online

Man i cant believe youre telling people off for writing reviews for money.
Im sorry i wouldnt be wasting my time writing reviews if it wasnt for the cash incentive, like i wouldn't have a part time job if it wasn't for the pay.
In my eyes the person who can write the least and earn the most is the true genius.
And some of these "DooYoo experts" get on my nerves when they get pedantic with speling (You know who you guys are because you are outraged i have spelt spelling with one L).

Nothing personal but just to clarify I hit the thanks button by mistake.
I am no "Dooyoo Expert" but I am still scratching my head over the fact someone who has only written 69 reviews and doesn't rate much has managed to rack up £250 from Dooyoo.
I do recall the recommendation scheme but I don't recall it being so generous but of course that could just be old age catching up on me.:p
I do see your point about the genius who writes the least but gains the most, but that isn't my understanding of what Dooyoo is about.0 -
When I got to £65 on Dooyoo and asked for a cheque they removed some of my reviews saying they weren't up to scratch, but there wasn't the option of redoing them at all?, why don't you just rewrite the reviews? Dooyoo do give pointers as to what makes a good review anyway to help.
I have to agree though, at the end of the day, if they offer a cash incentive, its natural that people will only want to do the minimum to gain the money, I appreciate its not what the site is about but I do get the impression that Dooyoo only start looking at reviews more carefully if you're doing loads.
A bit like Slice the pie, I was doing loads of reviews back in July and they kept locking my account saying all my reviews were the same, (but we all have our own style of reviwing something surely?)but if I only do a few a day now they are fine, they don't like you to earm loads, that's the impression I getAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -
hi, how can i join up ,,i think i would enjoy writing ..thanks0

Direwolf, Im not telling anyone off, merely observing that the sites are actually intended to help people make informed choices about products, the fact that many if not all of the reviewers wouldnt be there without the monetary incentive is a separate issue, god knows I wouldnt be there if I wasnt going to get something back from it. My issue is the people who 'play the system' by writing the bare minimum, reviews which cannot in any way shape or form help anyone to make a choice and then start bleating about the sites being 'unfair' or 'corrupt' because theyve had reviews locked/deleted and as a result have ''lost their money''. I'm as guilty as the next person of banging out a review for the purposes of getting my name back on the new reviews list thus boosting earnings, but tend to go back and edit those when I'm feeling more motivated to just write for the pleasure of it.
But if you dont meet the minimum requirement that you havent actually earned the money so cant have lost it.
As someone else said there are plenty of pointers as to what to add to a review to make sure it will meet the standard the site asks of you and tbh anything which doesnt meet that standard in my view should be deleted automatically, but the writer given the option of rewriting it so it does meet the standard. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

As I've just started to write on dooyoo I'm curious to know how the standard is determined?0
-
Somewhere there are guidelines to writing - probably in the FAQ section, but the best way to work out what is considered 'good' is to read reviews which have been crowned or have an over all rating of Very Helpful - as theyre the reviews which other dooyoo users consider to be good reviews. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Don't think they've been rated loads!
When dooyoo did their referral thing last month I referred lots of people!!
I was one of those who used your referral link the other month, Sophie. As a sign-up I would have earned you 500 miles (50p) and I also got a crown which gives the referrer another 2000 (£2), so there's £2.50 of your total earnings from that one referral.
Personally, I'd mark DooYoo's response to some of your early reviews down to experience and set about writing a few more, improving the amount of detail etc included in the reviews. (Incidentally, rating more of other people's reviews might help to boost your total back up to the amount for your cheque too, as some people might feel more inclined to take the time to read and rate your reviews.)
This thread HERE also contains lots of useful advice about maximising your earnings on DooYoo. Good luck and I hope you get your cheque soon.0 -
You'll have just earned £2.50 off me as well, I think, by Jo's calculations. Don't get disheartened. I've finally started writing on there, and am really enjoying myself learning to write as well as earning points!
Hope the cheque arrives soon, and enjoy your holiday.
ED x£5 a day in December £179.59/£155£100 on STP by 31 January 09 £2.03/£1000 -
i joined up there today and have written 3 reviews, all rated very useful but none of the guides have left comments or rated i dont think is this not done routinely?
my user name is not the same as on here and ive rated 5 reviews. already up to 1755 points or miles or whatever they are so in theory if i write 3 a day and earn the same amount each day so at the end of november i could hit the 50,000 points mark? i used to write on ciao but gave up when the surveys became a bit rubbish.
