DooYoo - Get Paid to Write Reviews Online

I've just searched on dooyoo using your user name that you use on here. If this is the username you use on dooyoo then below is my opinion. If its not the username you use share it with me and I'll give a revised opinion.
Your most recent opinion on dooyoo:
"I just bought this Lipstick for the price of £9.50 from Boots as it was the only lipstick that had the exact colour that I wanted!
I applied it around an hour before going on, putting it on how lipstick is supposed to be put on, including blotting and it no way lasted 8 hours, it barely made it until I went out - in face I had to re apply as I was worried I would lose all the colour of the lipstick.
However I put this lipstick on I couldn't stop it gathering in the creases of my lips which is never usually a problem for me. This was quite a pain and took lots of effort to resolve and to make it look decent.
The texture of the lipstick itself reminded me somewhat of a wax crayon when you press to hard on the paper - that's what it looks like on your lips. It only becomes wearable after a signficant amount of blending and blotting.
On the plus side of this lipstick, it is quite sizeble and the casing of it does look sleek and not at all like some cheapo plastic casing that lots of lipsticks come in. It didn't dry my lips out at all which was good!
Still, this product really isn't worth £9.50 of your money, you can get a lot better elsewhere."
I'm sorry to say that given the actual rubbish you write my honest opinion is that you have been OVERPAID already with actually getting an amazon voucher. Its rubbish like this that proliferates these sites and turns a useful resource into a garbage can. Good luck getting your £200, not that I think you deserve it or have a leg to stand on.
If you want to see what a good review looks like you could always check out some of mine from years ago, I don't use the site anymore now though to be honest.0 -
A reply to the above post:
I'm not saying my reviews are amazing, I didn't imply it at all.
All I was saying is that I need the money and wanted to find a way to get it without having to wait for however many weeks as i'm going on holiday and need it.
I didn't say my reviews shouldn't have been locked. And like I said only 8 (or so) of them have been. I said they weren't that bad - which they aren't. They come from an honest consumer and are my honest opinion. I don't feel the need to write an essay to put my point across about a product. Some of my reviews are very detailed, others aren't. Some of them have over 500 words, if the product/place I feel needs it to put it across in it's best way. Others I feel don't need the length or endless dragging on of a review to tell others about it. I have written less than 70 reviews - so only a tiny part of the money has come from that side of it.
If dooyoo wanted longer reviews the word limit would be higher.
The reason I was having a little bit of a complain was because they could check them every 2 weeks/month or so, rather than waiting until they know someone wants the money and then refuse them it.
I didn't come on here wanting someone to scrutinise my reviews - if I did I would have said that. All I was wanting to find out was if there was a way I could (as the second poster said) cancel my money claim and reclaim for a lower amount.0 -
As much as I hate to say it from what you wrote in that last post you only write on dooyoo for the money?
Which as charis says is why dooyoo, and all the other sites have had to put so many hoops in place for us to jump through before we can redeem the points. As for how you've earned over £200 for writing 70ish reviews if theyre all similar in content to that one I am truely stunned! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Don't think they've been rated loads!
When dooyoo did their referral thing last month I referred lots of people!!0 -
I don't understand how you can possibly have made nearly £250 from 69 reviews on Dooyoo - I have 57 reviews and am at just over £50! I also read and rate far more reviews that you do which generates return rates back for me. Sorry but I am confused.0
-
I missed the 'referral thing' but having checked back there was a bonus for making referrals, which as much as I hate to say it explains the number of reviewers tagged as new who's contributions make my eyes bleed (yes I know I sound like a snob but the sheer volume of reviews which are of no earthly use to anyone is shocking, not to mention the number of 'revenge' rates I've had over the last week or so for honest ratings).
Probably not entirely relevant to OP as Ive not looked for her reviews yet, but I am beginning to wish that dooyoo would introduce a system more like ciaos where you only get paid/only get the bonus miles for helpful or better reviews - it taught me to write better when I started reviewing. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I think a sliding scale for reviews would work - but would take a lot of work on Dooyoos side.
Some people may look at my reviews and think they are short - I do only tend to write at least over 250 though but the longest I have written is around 600. But just basing review strength on length is a poor indicator as it could be filled with useless information. So it wouldn't be simple to do a sliding scale as such.
Some things are just much easier to write about than others on there - for instance, I went to a festival - very easy to write about as it took a whole day, lots of different things - hence a long review.
An item of make up (already posted above) which wasn't good, I put in as much detail as I thought was relevant although to some people it may seem short etc however to most people I think it's adaquate.
So, I think a sliding scale based on A LOT of factors would work, but as I said, it would be very difficult to impliment.0 -
I dont know if you use ciao at all but their system only pays for ratings of helpful and above which generally keeps the worst of the 'churners' off the site when they realise that the rubbish they write wont earn them their fortunes, oddly there seem to be fewer cases of 'revenge rating' on that site too even though under the current dooyoo system no matter what the rating is the writer gets their 15 miles, then again dooyoo are very good at removing revenge rates, whereas ciao are even worse at the customer services side of it.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I think I have only put around 3 reviews on Ciao as altogether I found their site hard to use aswell as the fact that everytime I went to post a review on there, the computer would crash
As a result, I never really found out how Ciao worked!0 -
Persevre (sp??) with it if you're serious about writing good reviews, the regulars can seem somewhat scathing in comments but generally the advice is good, my early stuff was truely awful and even after Ive rewritten most of them the average is still low because of the orginal raters not being around anymore to rerate, lol.
Much harder to earn money writing there though as the payment scale is different depending on the product (from nothing to 2p per rating) and most of the paying categories are 1/2p ones. But I tend to find its more honest than dooyoo probably because theres not as much of the writing for cash mentality. When Im writing regularly I average £5 a month on there before any Premium fund gets added whereas dooyoo I can average closer to £20 - when my motivation to write lasts longer than a few hours as it has done recently.
I actually find ciao easier to navigate but virtually impossible to get suggestions added to which is immensly frustrating when most of my reviews in the last 12 month have been new stuff they havent added yet. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
